I find the principal of the upper school to be quite an insufferable individual, often refusing to deal with situations considered of an important scale especially on topics such as blatant bullying and exceptionally problematic behavioral issues, however many of the teachers are indeed wonderful people. On a positive note however, the school does have a wonderful multicultural aspect that allows for a child to gain a more whole and worldly perspective, though you must ask yourself before sending your child here: is being in a multicultural school worth their mental health? the answer should be no, so this school is in fact a great school, BUT only up until the high school, where I would consider sending my child elsewhere.

So i started looking at other businesses in my area that I had experience with. I usually only post reviews if the service was stellar or horrible. I saw that Sugar Creek Montessori had a really bad score. So I'm thinking, "yep! They're still horrible!" I took my daughter to that location when she was 4 years old. She's in college now so it was a very long time ago. I decided to share my very low opinion of this location. My previous review endorsed the 1-2 star rating they currently have. When I took my Daughter to this location we had a horrible experience & we were charged over $150 for 15 minutes of their time. I told the administrators that we would not be attending classes there within 10 minutes of arrival. In my opinion the school was unorganized, dirty, & they were more interested in filling the roster than helping understand what would benefit our family & my daughter's education. I posted that they kept my supply fee (which they absolutely did) for classes that we did not attend. Our experience was a one star or negative star experience. A few days after my post I was contacted by their admin office so that they could research my financial claim & refund our money. I was a little miffed at first because now that we have wonderful platforms to share our experiences (good & bad) NOW they will refund my money that never should've been kept in the first place? Very convenient. After several messages back & forth we are at an impasse & it's clear this is not the same owner that kept our money & supply fee for services not rendered & for classes my daughter did not attend. I now have the financial support provided by current SC Montessori management to go back to our bank & investígate if the records they have are correct or if they were falsified. So my review is this: This location has had and still has a very rough road ahead of them trying to correct the previous owner neglect & bad business practices. I believe in second chances. If my daughter still needed a preschool or if I had a very intelligent 4 year old, I would definitely try this Montessory location again. We originally tried this location because my daughter was very advanced & was ready for Kindergarten. Unfortunately with the public school rule about September birthdays it makes it very difficult to place your children in an environment that they can continue to learn, be challenged, & eventually skip a grade so they can re-join their friends in your zoned elementary school at a later date. I attended Montessori when I was younger & loved it. I have many fond memories of time there. I suggested the new owners place a sign at their location saying, "under new management" or reach out to local Mom's Clubs because it is very hard to overcome the type of damage the previous owners created. I suggest trying this location especially if you're interested in eventually having your child skip a grade. When I complete the research with our bank and confirm the previous owners did not keep over $200 of our money for services not received I will update this review & hopefully be able to sing the praises of the current owners trying to correct past indiscretions. If nothing else they did spend a lot of time going through our history to try & find the errors. I wish there was a 2 1/2 star because right now we're still on the fence with this business.

The school has the standard staff to children ratio. More often than not, there seems to be fewer kids (I think) than the maximum. So, each teacher looks after fewer kids, which is an added bonus when that happens. Bright and sunny facility in a secure building. Hassle free pick-up and drop-off with ample parking. The office complex has a large private court yard, which has provided hour of entertainment for our child after school. Compared with other daycare around the neighborhood, this school has longer hours (6:30AM -6:30PM), and fewer days off. This is a huge plus for people who work at Texas Medical Center. We knew that this particular location does not take older kids (3 years and up). If we had to do it again, we will still choose Primrose at Greenway Plaza over others.

She cares about each student. She ensures that each student loves learning and reading. I am impressed not only by the amount of patience she has, but also for the amount of compassion she has. She is a wonderful asset to the Goddard School. I love The Goddard School! This place is more than just a "daycare." It truly is advanced nurturing environment that focuses on education. I recently enrolled my son in this school when he turned three months old. I really loved the fact that the facility was clean, the faculty was diverse, knowledgeable, and personable, and the school holds major events (i.e, the science fair and the recycle fashion show) for all of the children, including the infants. Since he has been enrolled, he's been reaching all of his developmental milestones much quicker than other babies his age (according to his pediatrician). That alone is a testament to their hands-on activities that are tailored to helping each of the children reach such important developmental milestones. Specifically, Ms. Graciela and Ms. Susana are phenomenal because they worked with my son to create art projects that resulted in him holding his bottle three weeks after I enrolled him. They even read to him every day and send one free book home so we can read to him also. We were so happy with The Goddard School! I also love that they send pictures and the electronic daily report, detailing his naps, meals, diapers, and activities. These pictures and reports helped me transition back to work because I felt like I knew what my son was doing every single day. I really appreciate Ms. Graciela, Ms. Susana, and Ms. Cynthu make sure that they speak to my son in English and Spanish because we really like language immersion programs. Not only do they ensure that they speak to him in Spanish, but they teach me new words too! Finally, I would also like to recognize Ms. Tiffany and Ms. Terrie! They are amazing assets to the organization. They are friendly. They promptly send out notices. They even called to check on my son when he was out for a day after experiencing a fever from his immunization shots. They truly CARE!! Lastly, the school is very, very safe and secure. The security system only permits parents (and authorized guardians) to enter into the school by handprints. If you're looking for a school for your child, please do yourself a favor and select The Goddard School!!! We are very IMPRESSED by this school.

I checked into Rainard when looking at the private schools in the area and was really impressed…read more The staff was informative and helpful in every aspect and they seem to have a lot to offer. Before being placed in the school, the child must go through a battery of tests - the most important is the I.Q. test on which the student must score 135 or above. If you make it through the screening, you must then apply for consideration to be accepted to the school and pay your $75 fee. If there's a spot, you'd better not second guess your commitment to Rainard because there is a non-refundable reservation fee of $800. At the time we checked into the program, there was no high school. We were concerned about what happens to a child coming up in this sheltered environment then going into a larger public or private school for the last few years of basic education. Now they have implemented a high school and those problems are solved for those attending. The small campus is sweet and certainly an alternative style of teaching but of all of the campuses we investigated, this was among the priciest. We'd heard bad things about it from people that had placed their children here then opted to put them back in public school or another nearby private institution. In the end, we decided the risk was too great for us - it was a very difficult decision but since we got so much bad word of mouth, we backed out of the admissions process. But, if you're looking for some out of the ordinary summer programs, Rainard is among the best on the West Side. Their Summer Incitement Series offers a variety of non-traditional learning experiences that are great for any child. A good sampler if you're looking to get your feet wet in this special school for gifted students.
