A friend recommended that we try Swim Theory because her son had loved it. After just a couple of lessons at Swim Theory, I already started noticing a difference and by July he was swimming across the pool, retrieving rings off the bottom, and going down the slides at Alligator Creek. He is so much more confident! His primary instructor has been Coach Scout and she has been so patient, persistent, and encouraging in working with him and challenging him to grow. Scheduling has also been very convenient and staff have all been really friendly and helpful. I'm so glad we found this place!

I've only seen one weight machine out of order, and it was back in service in 2 days. That's ALL the machines, to include cardio, benches, cables, etc. One machine in the entire building being down in a month of going 6 days a week is pretty great. From the pool to the swinging rope to the little snack bar, you will have a great time and won't be disappointed I'm sure. Oh, and can you say Doggie Dive In?? Don't forget to bring your four legged friend the day/weekend after labor day. Our pups always have a fantastic time!

However, in this city rec center I'm hard-pressed to think what someone might want that's not here. Outdoor workout equipment for the few comfortable days we have in St. Louis? An outdoor track? Perhaps a sauna? Renaud has an indoor pool with open (general) swim area, lap lanes, water features, and a hot tub. The gym includes workout machines and free weights. Cycling, rowing, walking and stair machines are nearby. Personal trainers can coach you for additional cost. The gym has multiple basketball courts for half-court play or single shooting practice, plus volleyball courts. A 1/10-mile overhead walking track circles the workout area and overlooks the basketball activity. At additional cost to the reasonable single, couple or family memberships are dozens of classes on health, fitness, personal growth, and entertainment for adults and children. Locker rooms include showers and no-charge locks are available. Convenient parking.

The staff at the Y club does not require IDs however, if you go in the staff at the front desk, always ask for a photo ID and will not take my safe at home ID, which is what I am required to carry. Every single time it's an issue and they have to call Courtney over. When you pick up for aftercare the gentleman that is always there sits at a makeshift desk and refuses to get up to come to your car to have you sign out your kids, not a big big deal but when you have an infant in your car all the time it's very inconvenient and I do not like leaving him in the car alone. I say this every single time and every single time he refuses to come to my car so I can sign the girls out. There have been a couple other instances and I'm hoping the school year just goes a lot smoother.
