How cute is this place! You feel like you have stepped back into the late 70's - Early 80's with this homey small town theater. The sound sucks, there is a musty smell and you are screwed if someone with a tall hairstyle sits in front of you, but that is all part of the charm. Popcorn is great and cheap, ticket prices were 6.50 as of August 09. Worth seeing what movie theaters used to be like. It is worth noting that the service was *very* friendly but the crowd in the theater was unusually talkative and obnoxious.

Great local movie theatre in Downtown St. Cloud. Very quaint and you can always walk around and browse the stores before or after the movie.

Snacks are super expensive as they are on every theater but the slushies are great! The Adult blushes are a nice addition. It has a sofisticated feel to it when you go on to the lobby and the ataff seems to always be in a good mood. This theater is consistently my first choice.

Racism and Unfair Discrimination to Minors…read more Me and my brothers decide to come to this theater to watch the new Digital Circus movie that came out today. We booked our tickets for 7:00PM earlier before this day came. We were all highly anticipated for this day. It was only my 18-year-old brother (a legal adult), my 16-year-old brother, and myself (15). Because we were accompanied by an adult, there was absolutely no policy violation. When we walked up the stairs to get our tickets scanned, the employee completely shifted her demeanor. As we showed her our tickets and what movie we were going to watch (and 90 percent of the people in the theaters at that time were likely to see the same movie we were anticipating seeing), she began staring us down aggressively and demanded our ages. My older brother said he was 18, she then turned to my other brother and asked for his age. He stated he was 16. Despite my brother being a legal adult, the employee deadpan stated, "Nope, you can't watch this, get another movie ticket," claiming we needed a "guardian." Unbelievable! We saw multiple groups of other teenagers and even literal 7-year-olds carrying blankets walking in completely unbothered. The younger children had parents of course, but that doesn't explain why we were rejected. The show is independently produced and rated PG-13 (even this theater listed it as an unrated movie) meaning even if my 18-year-old brother wasn't there, a 15 and 16-year-old are fully permitted to buy tickets . This feels targeted because we were the only Black customers in line, and we were the only group targeted, interrogated, and turned away. We ultimately had to get a refund. The employee in question was a short, older woman with red hair. Her behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, discriminatory, and downright inappropriate. We went home feeling absolutely upset, and we pre-bought these tickets. I have already sent an official email to leevista@epic-theatres.com with our exact booking reference number and clothing descriptions so they can pull the security footage to know this isn't a fabricated lie.

Kind words and professionalism. The only concern was something we believe is well, not profession or sanitary. We don't believe you should use your hands to open up the popcorn bag! We believe well- that's nasty. You can pop the bag to open the bag, or use the scoop to open but not your hands! Would you do this when you serve a soda- stick your finger or hand inside a cup to dry or clear debris? Look, we asked our cashier not to put their hand inside the popcorn bag and pop it like one of his employees did and we got a weird look- we asked in the most kind, super Disney kind voice- PLEASE DONT STICK YOUR HAND IN THE BAG. PLEASE POP IT OPEN JUST NOT USING YOUR HAND (that's caps here- not yelling). When the employee went to get the popcorn it looked- we believe- he told the manager this (we could be wrong) but even if he didn't , the manager looked to brush off what the employee said and OPENED UP USING HER HANDS THE INSIDE of the POPCORN BAG (yes here I'm escalating emotion). It's just not professional or sanitary. If napkins fall on the ground- throw them away! It's simple. Other than a manager setting bad example the movie was great, the theater was clean (old) but clean, cold ac nice- and nice loud show! (Forgot to add- you can't call and speak to anyone ever. The system is a what I call a Covid system. You know, you can no longer reach the business by phone or email... you have to go to corporate website and fill out a form. Companies like Best Buy, banks, etc if you were to misplace a personal item like a wallet- good luck reaching anyone.)

Presenting the ticket, on the phone...quick and easy. Finding the theater, quick and easy. The cleanliness of the theater was terrible. The was something sticky on my cup holder and side of the seat. I prayed and hoped it was a food or beverage spill, smh. There was food and trash on the floor. Ultimately, I still watched the movie and had a good time. The woman checking the tickets was the best part, she was sweet and took my picture. Overall, I gave them a four. Maybe they were short and didn't have enough staff to clean up.

You can arrive a half hour before the show starts to pay and get your spot to watch the movie. Tonight we watch Shang Chi and the Ten Rings and our experience specific to tonight... Not the best. In the beginning of the movie there are subtitles which you can't read because on this screen only the top line ever showed. So as long as there's only one line sentences you're good! In addition there aren't any loud speakers or speakers to place on your vehicle like many other drive ins have, so we had a really hard time hearing. I don't know if this movie was shot in dark lighting or if they needed to adjust lighting on the screen, but there seemed to be a glare or it was often hard to see some scenes. There was an idiot with his car lights on which may have posed a problem as well but no one said anything to them. No one walked around to check for things like that like many other theaters do as well. The website indicates if you have difficulty getting your lights to turn off they have covers for your car to use to dim your lights. There's no info about additional speakers though it does say if you have issues you can let them know. Also kind of bummed with the choice of preshow music. We really enjoy attending the theaters that okay the old fashioned tunes and ads! You only get half an hour before hand anyway which also could be extended some. Show up as early as you can within that time frame to get the best pick of parking spots. Also bring big spray or citronella candle or something. Bugs galore! We may try this theater again in the future but will need to probably bring a radio to provide additional speakers.

Check out their Facebook for specials and updates. They take customer feedback seriously, so be respectful and patient. I think because they are being transparent about how things work with getting films, customers tend to be understanding. They also said they are remodeling, so that may also give them a chance to have more theaters available for another film in the future. I look forward to what the owners have planned for this theater. I have been to theaters like this in another state and it stayed busy even with a brand new theater across the street. I hope they keep the building clean, the service top notch, and stay in this great community.
