I really say true to my Aloma cinema Grill, but this was a nice switch up. My parents live closer to this theater than Aloma cinema Grill now so I didn't wanna have them drive so far to meet us so we went to them and tried this theater for a change. The reclining seats were really nice. It makes it so that even if you get stuck with seats all the way in front of the screen, you can lean your seat all the way back so that it's not as bad on your neck. I won't lie, the chairs are not that comfortable in my opinion, but it was a nice change from the seats we usually have at our regular theater. I was also nice that the food can be ordered directly to your seat. Each seat has its own QR code that makes it easy for the servers to know exactly where they have to bring the order. The food does take a little while to get to you, but they warn you of that on the screen before the movie starts. It is probably best that you go on their website to try to book your tickets in advance so that you can select your seats before they all get filled up. That was how we got stuck with seats all the way in the front. Like I said before, though it really isn't that horrible since the seats do recline pretty far back. The pricing was not bad and they do also have deals during the week where the tickets are way cheaper. I believe they have like five dollar movie tickets on Tuesday or Wednesday or maybe both. They do also have a rewards program. It seems like. The tickets are about 10 bucks each so it still isn't that bad for reclining seats. They do also have an area where you can go and purchase popcorn or anything before the movie starts so if you do get there early and you have time to waste, you can go stand in line to order your stuff before you get to the movie that way you save yourself the way while you're in there. The lobby area where you enter was really messy, but I think it was just because there was so many crowds coming in for the Spider-Man movie. They had so many people everywhere that as soon as you came in, you had to wait practically by the door because the line was so long for everyone coming in. What is nice though is that they have multiple different theaters so they have the capability to have movie starting not too far away from each other so for example, like if one movie starts at 7 o'clock they have another of the same movie starting at 7:05 and then 715. That way, you didn't have to wait so long before still being able to see the same movie. I don't think that once you purchased the tickets, you can modify them, though. I believe that is something you would have to ask the management upon arrival. They do have a no refund policy as well from what I saw on the website. I would say just try to go on the site before you plan on seeing the movie just to take a look and if it seems like there are a lot of times then it may be OK to just go there depending on how far you have to drive. I had a pretty decent experience though and wouldn't mind going back, but it is a bit of a far drive for us. read more

This theater has very comfortable seating. The food is not bad. You could order from the QR at your seat and they'll bring you the food. The place was kept up so you could tell they actually clean up after each film. They also have a full bar. We waited for the previews to be over to see if the temperature was going to get cooler but it didn't so I spoke to the attendant that brought us our food and the temperature was adjusted. They also have bed style seating which is a good option, but they sell out fast. I recommend this spot to watch any movie that comes out very affordable and comfortable. read more

Luxury movie theater near my house. Nice and clean. It does get crowded at times. But you have assigned seating so you don't have anything to worry about. The bathrooms are pretty small and I only saw one. We saw the movie Backrooms and after the movie we went into the bathroom and I felt like I was in the movie. I started freaking out because I couldn't figure out which door was the exit. They only have two sizes of popcorn: medium and large. The large is $9.75 and they do not give free refills. If you buy your tickets online, when you walk in, you'll see some computer monitors with scanners. Just scan your QR code on the scanner and a printer will print out your tickets. Very convenient no waiting in line. read more

I like this theater it's a great way to save money. Tuesdays/Wednesdays you pay $5 a ticket and Wednesday bring your container up to 80 oz and they fill it with popcorn. Nice and clean with a friendly staff. read more

TouchStar Cinema was a bad experience from start to finish. Parking was packed and I had to park far away. Inside the staff seemed very young and unprofessional. One worker muttered "she's about to piss me off" while trying to help me. At ticket check they didn't verify the date or ID for an R rated film, and they didn't even scan my ticket. The woman at the ticket check also asked me "do you need help? You look confused." with a smirk on her face. The whole staff needs a customer service retraining. The seating was uncomfortable with hard headrests and the seat in front blocked the screen. Food was overpriced at $16.30 for three tacos & chips and NO salsa. I had to go out of my way to ask the person who delivered my food for a cup of water since that option wasn't on the website, and they said they weren't allowed. They refused to give a free cup and charged nearly $6 for bottled water and $7 for soda. I really don't appreciate that the owner doesn't offer a water cup option. Things are already expensive as is and a lot of us are struggling, and we're not trying to help boost their profits with those insane beverage charges. In the bathroom the fragrance was so strong it gave me a headache and the bathroom was tiny, you literally have to squish your whole body in just to let someone pass behind you to get into the restroom. Overall it feels poorly run compared to other theaters like Cinemark. I do not recommend it. read more

We love coming to the Southchase movie theater especially during times the kids are off of school. It's close to our home and there's always plenty of movie times available. The seats are super comfortable and we can reserve it ahead of time. It gives up peace of mind knowing that our seats will be waiting for us even if we're running late. We also love that every seat/table has a QR code to order food right from the comfort of your seat. The order is brought right to you ensuring you don't miss any parts of the movie. This is my favorite local movie theater. I enjoy coming here because of the reclinable theater chairs, always comfy, and the theater is always nice and cold! If you don't come on Thursday evenings for new releases what are you doing? Did I mention they have a bar, where they occasionally even offer mixed drinks customized to popular movies that are released. The staff were so kind and helpful as I had an issue with a gift card I received and they managed too figure it out. I love this theater! Been visiting this theater since I was small and all the upgrades and new renovations have made it an even better experience. I always come back because they have some great snacks, drinks, and chairs. My favorite is usually the pina colada icee. It's about $7 , but in my opinion I think it's a go to for movies! I also decided to order chicken tenders and fries and they were pretty good given I was Soo hungry. It was about $13, but good amount of food and tasty. I really like this theater. The seats were comfy and the food/snack options were decent. They even have a bar with a pretty robust drink list. I loved that you could order food and have it delivered to your seat because there's nothing worse than trying to find your seat with an armful of food. The staff was friendly and it's super easy to get tickets online or at the kiosk. My only feedback would be that the theater was a little too cold (i brought a thick sweatshirt and was still freezing), the sound was a little too loud (you can hear/feel the sound from the other theaters) , and the popcorn was a little stale (but it was also a slow day so it probably made sense not to make any more). None of these are deal-breakers and I'd definitely go back. read more

Though there's an expansive menu with huge variety, the wait for it can add up, so make sure to show up early or you might get stuck in a long wait for popcorn. This is a very small and older theater, but the prices are good. They have both normal theater chairs and very comfortable reclining chairs. The outside of the theater is a little run down and it looks closed but the staff inside was friendly. The food is decently priced and they bring it right to your seat, but it was not good and not worth the price. This theater was nice several yeara ago after they had updated it with recliner chairs, but in the past couple years, it's now begun to look run-down and cheap again. Carpets need Deep Cleaning, and the chairs need to be re-upholstered as they are getting rips in them. read more

I paid $20 including tip for burger and fries and the food is checkers/ rally's quality. All soft drinks purchased are $ 6.49 and come in a bottle even water costs I believe it is $4.49. The plaza doesn't look like much but this is usually my go to movie theater with my family especially if we are looking for something budget friendly. There's plenty of parking available. Exploitative employment practices. Staff is turned over seasonally to get rid of employees that have earned raises and hire new ones at a lower cost. This theater follows Federal law in that they don't pay their employees overtime. It's a ridiculous outdated standard, and most national chains pay their employees overtime in order to align with the labor standards of the companies they compete with for talent. Plus, it's the right thing to do. This one does not. The icing on the cake is having exiting employees sign a blank release form without a reason for separation. You can draw your own conclusions on why that would be. read more

First thought was - it looks like an abandoned building theater. First - they check your bags for food or drinks , had to go back to my car leave some candy I had laying around my backpack and my water bottle. No other theaters I've been to in Orlando do it , so for me in particular it was really weird and a little annoying. Second - the seats were really worn out in the room I was in (2), the black leather on armrests was non existent almost , but it's not the big problem, the big problem we're the seat recliner buttons, they were lit up , in bright blue , and in my eyes all damn movie , I tried to cover it but it was really uncomfortable sitting in a position that will cover the damn light - for two hours , not to mention all the other sits from my right were unoccupied so all those flashy buttons were really annoying me during the movie . Obviously the room wasn't even as dark as it's supposed to be while the movie is playing , I don't even understand if it's just the lights from all seats or some other lightning as well . And the lights were reflected on screen , so in a lot of scenes screen had light dots on it , not great to concentrate on the movie itself when there's that. Also , I don't know what was stuck in that AC , if anything at all , but when it was going off during the movie it sounded as there's a paper stuck in it and the flapping noise wasn't quiet. In general you can tell it's an old theater. I'm sure I'm the past it was great , it is still great for a lot of people judging by all the reviews, but I didn't find a really big price difference not in food( 5$ a hotdog for example isn't abnormal) , and no big difference in both movies I was picking between, just 1$ or 2$ different from other theaters , which I still spent on gas driving there anyways, and all the rest of theaters in Orlando ( at least the ones I've been in) - they're new, no lit up buttons , no loud AC's , no bag checks and normal black out during the movie so no light screen reflections too. Maybe it was just that particular room through,but it was enough for me not to return there . One positive note - the bathroom not only was clean but smelled so damn clean ! So there's some good employees working there. In general they were all nice ! And apparently they bring food to your seats so you don't wait for it , I missed that thing through since by the time I returned from depositing my candy bar in the car they had it all ready and gave me right away . read more

This was the theater of my childhood! I remember coming to this theater when the first power rangers movie came out! It has been through many changes as a theater. It has closed and reopened more than once, but I had a source tell me that Touchstar has not only jumped on the reclined seats bandwagon, but they have DAY BED SEATING! Yes you read that right! For $26, you pay for two people and get a large popcorn included. There is only five in each theater however, and they come with swiveled tables for drinks and food. The beds are very spacious, I'm 6'3" and still had leg room! If you'd rather have a regular reclined seat, you get a pillow with your seat, which I haven't seen another theater do. But there has been one thing that always affected this theater, and still does now, the thin walls! I heard two other movies playing while watching the movie I paid for, not too noticeable unless you're watching a movie that doesn't have much audio (A quiet place). The audio is good for the theater, but apparently too good for their walls. The concessions have gotten an upgrade as well, I also saw that they have a full bar now too! So have a few drinks before,during, or after the movie! There is a hightop section for dining since they serve food on busy nights. Touchstar has had many improvements over the years and they still seem overlooked because of the area and not being tied with Fandango. But I recommend coming to experience the day bed, since not many theaters have it! read more

I was at the Southchase 7 establishment yesterday and i purchased 9 movie tickets along with drinks and snacks for everyone, when i got up to the spot where they check tickets i handed my ticket to the guy and he asked to search my fanny pack so i opened it up for him and let him look through it and he saw a small snack in there that i keep for emergencies in case my blood sugar gets low (Im a Type 1 Diabetic) and he goes that not allowed in there, i kindly explain to him how i have to have it on me incase my blood sugar gets low during the movie. I always have to carry it wherever i go for that exact reason and he's like sorry that's the owners rule and tells me to talk to the manager so i go talk to her and she basically says the same thing, I told her i literally just bought all these drinks and snacks from you guys and you are still treating me this way and then at the end of us going back and forth she's like fine i will make an exception for this time. But this happens every time i go there, I definitely am not going there anymore and I will also tell my friends and family not come here anymore, we will take our business elsewhere. can you imagine what would happen if i had a low blood sugar and by the time i got up to go to the snack bar to wait in line, I could be in real trouble and pass away due to low blood sugar, its not the staff that is the issue, its the owners who have set this strict ruling with no slack for those with disabilities The owner Bimal Dattani should really educate himself and his staff on T1D and other cases like these where the customer has strict dietary restriction and understand how this is violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) read more

My son wanted to invite friends to a movie for his birthday. With the pandemic, we weren't sure we were going to be able to do that. Then we saw that Touchstar was renting out theaters for private screenings at a rate that compares with other birthday party venues. Up to 20 people in our own private theater. Power-reclining seats and tray tables made for a special experience for all of us. Everything was clean, immaculately so, and the staff was friendly and kind. They even kept the cake cool for us, and let us do the cake and presents in the theater after the movie was over. They did a great job. We absolutely loved it! read more

Our favorite movie theater to go to pre pandemic and it appears that they are taking necessary precautions as the 'new normal' as well. There was a temperature check at entrance by an individual in a plexiglass box. There was plexi glass separating the concession workers from us as well. All surfaces were immaculately clean and the staff was incredibly friendly (as usual). They still have fountain beverages, but they fill the drinks themselves. The ticket taker is enclosed in plexiglass as well. There was 2 other guests in the lobby and social distancing signs were posted on the floor. In our theater we were the only 2 in there. (We did notice once we purchased our tickets the option to purchase tickets around us was blocked out.... impressive! We appreciate you protecting the health of your staff and guests and look forward to future visits. Thank you! read more

This is a great little movie theater located on OBT, right off of 417. We decided to stop by this theater due to its close proximity to where we were having dinner. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It does not have the awesome seating that you would find in a larger AMC or Regal, and the sound is not fantastic, but hey, for approximately half price( $6) of the larger theaters, it is definitely worth it. Sure, the floors are sticky, and the concession stand is not huge, but really, what do you expect for 6 bucks. They are definitely worth checking out for new releases, as it is pretty quiet and wont be as packed or sold out like the larger theaters. Also, please note that if join there "club" via text, you get a small free popcorn. read more

I found out about this movie theater from Twitter and I knew I had to see their daybed myself. Entering the plaza it seemed a bit sketchy. Even walking into the lobby the place looked run down. It wasn't until I entered the actual theater that I was wow'ed. The daybeds are !!!!!!!! I wish I had brought a blanket. Its so comfortable that my boyfriend fell asleep in the middle of Deadpool 2. I appreciated the fact that our food was served to us when we were already in the theater so we had more than enough time to get settled in. Our $26 ticket included admission for 2 plus a large popcorn. Considering the prices of most movie theaters, I would say it was a pretty good deal. The only thing unique about this theater are the daybeds which would be my only reason to come back to this location. A hidden gem in this suburban Orlando area, I think the experience is worth trying! read more

Wow ! First time in this theater in years.Big difference ! It used to be old , mildewy, and sticky floors. They have rehabbed it to a really nice theater. The concession area could use a little update but it is quaint. The theaters are brand new with excellent sound and great reclining seats with built in table with cup holder. Alot of space in aisle and between seats. I wanted to snuggle but arm rest wouldnt move. Popcorn alright but too salty. Didnt check out bathroom. I really, really, super-duper like movie theatres like this: smaller, less busy, lower priced, some indie films, and with a chill vibe. They have a totally different feel than a stadium megaplex. The non-stadium seating was comfy, and the sound and picture were excellent. The floors in the theatre were sticky though. The bathroom was clean. I didn't make use of the concession stand, but the employees didn't ask to look in my bag to check for "outside food" so they get 5,000 Cool Points for that! The parking spaces are tiny, but there were plenty of spaces in the back if you're driving anything larger than a compact. It's still way faster and easier than trying to park at a mall/parking structure. And dude, the regular night time price is still lower than the matinee price at an Edwards/AMC. Awesome! read more

Awesome movie theater that gives you a more homey, smaller, off-the-beaten path, cheaper and more chill movie-going experience. Don't expect fancy here, but everything you want and need is here. Great audio-visual, AMC-type movie screen size, great pix, clean theaters, and comfortable seats. On top of the already low prices, they honor military personnel with a $1 discount. My group and I paid $21 for the 3 of us to watch the last LOTR movie. What I really liked was the "multicultural menu" with samosas, egg rolls, empanadas and something else I can't remember (falafel? cheese sticks?)? Anyway love how the worker said they try to cater to all cultures! A nice twist to the typical popcorn, hot dogs and nachos options. When on vacation, this is a great place to catch a movie and avoid the crazy crowds in the other more mainstream Orlando theaters like Downtown Disney and CityWalk. read more
