This is by far the best value and experience for seeing movies within this area and I highly recommend. Coming on a Tuesday is your best bet, they call it $6 Tuesday, but FYI if you buy online there is a booking fee + taxes so essentially $9 at that point. Still a lot better than Disney Springs prices though and you still get big comfy reclining seats (they're just not heated). There is a rewards program, although it's not as great as the AMC Stubs style that AMC movie theaters offer so it's not as great, but it does exist. There is a very limited bar, but it does offer about 4-5 craft beers, several canned beer / seltzer, as well as wine. Lots of good options, all of which have prices you would expect for movie theatres these days. All in all - it's so close to home for us, reclining comfy seats, and $9 for a ticket when all is said and done to purchase in advance and pick your seat - that's a win for me any Tuesday ! read more

This is one of my favorite theaters and I live next door to one. But the price is more reasonable here and the sound quality is great add the cold AC and recliners and I am sold. Snacks are super expensive as they are on every theater but the slushies are great! The Adult blushes are a nice addition. It has a sofisticated feel to it when you go on to the lobby and the ataff seems to always be in a good mood. This theater is consistently my first choice. read more

Everything was so well stocked and clean. Average prices, similar to Orange County, CA. The theatre itself was huge and had an "upstairs" section, we really liked that. Racism and Unfair Discrimination to Minors Me and my brothers decide to come to this theater to watch the new Digital Circus movie that came out today. We booked our tickets for 7:00PM earlier before this day came. We were all highly anticipated for this day. It was only my 18-year-old brother (a legal adult), my 16-year-old brother, and myself (15). Because we were accompanied by an adult, there was absolutely no policy violation. When we walked up the stairs to get our tickets scanned, the employee completely shifted her demeanor. As we showed her our tickets and what movie we were going to watch (and 90 percent of the people in the theaters at that time were likely to see the same movie we were anticipating seeing), she began staring us down aggressively and demanded our ages. My older brother said he was 18, she then turned to my other brother and asked for his age. He stated he was 16. Despite my brother being a legal adult, the employee deadpan stated, "Nope, you can't watch this, get another movie ticket," claiming we needed a "guardian." Unbelievable! We saw multiple groups of other teenagers and even literal 7-year-olds carrying blankets walking in completely unbothered. The younger children had parents of course, but that doesn't explain why we were rejected. The show is independently produced and rated PG-13 (even this theater listed it as an unrated movie) meaning even if my 18-year-old brother wasn't there, a 15 and 16-year-old are fully permitted to buy tickets . This feels targeted because we were the only Black customers in line, and we were the only group targeted, interrogated, and turned away. We ultimately had to get a refund. The employee in question was a short, older woman with red hair. Her behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, discriminatory, and downright inappropriate. We went home feeling absolutely upset, and we pre-bought these tickets. I have already sent an official email to leevista@epic-theatres.com with our exact booking reference number and clothing descriptions so they can pull the security footage to know this isn't a fabricated lie. read more

This place is awesome!! My fam and I have been coming here for years. We live near the airport and since the Lee Vista location is basically across the street from it, it's been our go-to for a while. The seats are incredibly comfy and reclinable. They offer $6 Ticket Tuesdays (but only for the non XL theater showings). The popcorn is usually pretty fresh and their check out system has only gotten quicker and easier through the years. It can get pretty busy at times but their online ticket purchase system makes it so that you buy the tix online and just go get your snacks once you're there. Oh and you can order your snacks ahead of time and get them at the front desk without waiting in line- similar to AMC. For the loyalty program, just make sure to put in your phone number at the check out kiosk so see if you have any cash accumulated to redeem, though I think it's only for order-ahead purchases. They SHOULD add a quick barcode on the website or app to scan it and more explanations on how to use your points (unless I just missed those sections) Overall, super great, comfy, and lux-feeling place! I've never experienced a bad time here. This is my go-to theater in Orlando because of that! Every seat in any of the screens is a good seat. They don't have odd shaped rooms and they allow for the seats to all have great views, so no need to worry if the seats left on a busy night will be hard to watch or not. I've even watched 3D movies from the front row and had a great experience, no headache or eye sore, and full visibility. Every single seat reclines. The seats are so clean, no dents or scratches. It always looks brand new, but I know they have been used a bunch. Their staff is so impressive for that. After every movie the staff are patiently waiting to clean and they typically have multiple people with positive attitudes, so I hope this means they have pride in working for a great theater. They have multiple digital ticket windows that are intuitive, but if you have any issues, there is always someone available to help at the desk nearby. They always have cute decorations for current and upcoming films, and they have been having more merchandise lately. Their popcorn buckets and large cups are always themed as well. There are a few coin games there like a rubber duck claw machine. When I saw Wicked, there was a stand set up handing out limited edition pins for free! It was so fun and there was an interactive yellow brick road as well. Lastly, there is a bar with multiple beer options and it's always tasted fresh. read more

I was surprised to see the Yelp rating on this theater was low. It's a nice theater located in the new shopping plaza in Lee Vista. There is plenty of parking. It opens at 11am, so if you're like me and prefer going to the movies early, it's nice. We purchased and selected our seats online. Gone are the days of hurrying to get the best seats. We grabbed our concession goodies, popcorn, pretzel, nachos, water and soda & paid at a kiosk with no hiccups. The pretzel was buttery, Salty and warm and so was the popcorn. The seats are soooo comfy. I understood immediately why I saw some people walking in with little blankets. They are spacious and recline without bothering the people behind you. It's looks like the pictures others have posted. Concessions felt a bit chaotic being that it is self serve, prices were usual theater prices. A family member planned this visit. He purchased 16 tickets through a third party vendor because epic's website kept timing out before he could finish the purchase. Unfortunately we ended up getting a refund for 7 of the tickets because a couple family members were children. Just beware that even with their parent present children under 12 will not be admitted to a rated R movie. Just letting people know they are strict. They also want to get rid of the third party vendor because no notice was given at the time of purchase. Like I mentioned I didn't plan this and assumed they verified the policy. My children are old enough (or at least look old enough, youngest is 10). Otherwise it was a great experience. They did end up refunding but originally offered vouchers. read more

This was... an interesting movie theater. It's all self service, from purchasing your tickets, grabbing concessions (even popcorn is self serve), to paying for your purchases. Someone halfheartedly checks your ticket, then vaguely gesture to the particular theater your movie is showing in. The rooms are hard to locate, as the signage is gold and the wallpaper is red/gold. The plaques are also gold, and very old. So unless you're standing right in front, you won't know that your movie is showing there. They do have recliner seats, and I enjoyed the fact that there is ample space, and each room holds maybe 45-50 people. The bathrooms were clean, and the girl popping the popcorn was very polite when we asked for fresh popcorn. I'll be back, but only if I'm in the area. read more

Came here yesterday for the movie Den of Thieves 2. This is a beautiful and well kept theater. They have a good selection of food and drinks for a theater. The typical popcorn, chips, pretzel, candy and other snacks. The seats are very comfortable! I'm glad they switched to the recliners like most theaters. Remember the days of uncomfortable flip seats? I'm glad they're gone! It feels like sitting at home with a huge screen to enjoy a movie. I will be back! read more

My seat was ripped so I sat in the one next to it, thankfully nobody had purchased the one next to it so I didn't have to move. I've been to this theater once before many years ago, that experience was fine. This one left something to be desired. The theater itself just felt dirty. When we walked in to our row we were looking for our seats, H15 was there and it looked as pictured (the bottom part of the chair ripped off) so I sat in the seat next to it (oddly numbered 11) and my partner in the seat next to that 13. So not sure what happened to 14. There was popcorn in the cup holder which made me feel even less clean as I took my seat for the movie. The screen was huge and there was a good amount of space for people to pass by in the rows but just was really put off by the cleanliness of it all. Concessions are pretty standard and self service. The theater is very unique because it has a bar where you can get drinks and take them into the movie theater and then it also has self check out with screens. The reward system is a little complicated and hard to redeem rewards, but the theater is very nice and the seats reclined inside. There's only one restroom by the entrance. read more

This was my first visit and first hearing of this theater. Online tickets are only on their website, none on fandango. On arrival, it seemed the parking lot lights were out, so it was quite dark at night. It was not too busy or crowded. Concession stand was basically pick up your own food in a warming cabinet and dispense your own drinks; then proceed to the cashier. Quite an efficient process and was not a long wait. They also serve alcoholic beverages, the bartender was not available readily this night, but once requested, there wasn't a wait at all. Pricing is the typical theater price The theater seats are very spacious and reclines nicely. It was clean and comfortable. The projector of the theater we were in had an unnecessary bright light that reflected off the back of the seats. I'm not certain why this was, but it was unusual. Our eyes eventually adjusted to it, but was still noticeable. Overall, I will definitely return to this theater. read more

Never will I ever go to EPIC Theaters again due to a manager who accused me of being disrespectful. They changes our tickets to another and changed our seat location without approval. I called the theatre and talked to someone who claimed to be the manager. I don't think they were as they didn't seem to have the answers and put me on hold more then once and someone in the background seemed to be helping. She claimed that she was the manager and could refuse to give me a refund. She said that I was not nice to her (I wasn't). Why, because she told me that I had to go online to get a refund. I never used a bad work nor did I use any derogatory words to her. My wife was a witness as this call was on speaker. So, as far as she is concerned, I am out $27.00 because she refuses to refund my money. I called my bank to dispute the monies. The manager, if she was the manager, was horrible. Lee Vista EPIC XL - Inside - Cinema Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I've been going to Epic for years and love that there's a movie theater on this side of town. Years ago Epic felt a bit nicer, but it does seem that some of their theaters/screens may need a bit of TLC. On a couple of occasions the recliner didn't work and in another the cup holder was ripped out of the seat leaving a hole of trash that I personally didn't trust. The cleanliness can be a bit questionable at times. I think the XL theaters/screens are a bit better maintained than the others. The concessions: There's almost always a long line to pay for the snacks or a shorter line, but often 1 employee managing it. It's better to swing by on an opening weekend since the popcorn is being made on a quicker rotation ensuring you don't get the stale chewy popcorn. The employees fill the large and jumbo sizes of popcorn for the grab and go so it's a bit more difficult to get a smaller option, but not impossible. Also, if you're buying two items in a combo- the staff will charge them as separate items instead of the deal if you don't ask for it. Similar to adding your phone number for loyalty- you need to prompt the staff. Overall I like Epic, I hope the brand works to improve their app and loyalty rewards. Movie nights are some of the best nights and I want Epic to stick around, but it is just a standard theater when you compare it to other options like the Dolby theater. read more

Only thing about this place that upset me was seeinh a couple employees not wearing masks and one with the mask under his nose, checking tickets other than that, This theater is out of my way if I am up in Orlando, but I could definitely see myself driving here again in the future if I had to for sure! It is very easy to find, with an amazing amount of parking out front as well. Inside, the lobby is rather spacious and has a few tables, with some movies posters such as Jaws and E.T. Placed on them and covered in resin, to sit at. If it's busy though, good luck finding an empty table. The lobby has touch screen terminals for you to purchase your ticket at, as well. My recent trip consisted of a private family screening of the awesome movie Elf with Will Ferrell. Snacks were aplenty at the concession stand and the worker behind the counter was also very friendly, taking her time but making it very quick with the products we were asking for. The pricing at this theater is very reasonable, with a large popcorn being only $5.50 and you get a free refill! The theater we were on was very clean and my favorite thing is the seats are reclining and they are leather so they are definitely easier to clean off if you spill anything on them. The sound and picture quality are also very clear at this theater! If I'm ever on the area and want to see a movie, I'll definitely be going to this theater again for sure!!! read more

I hadn't heard of this location so I was pretty excited to stop by here. I visited this location since my family rented a private theater to watch a movie.   Just looking at the outside of the theater, you can already imagine that the inside of it would be massive and it was! I was taken aback to how big of a place it was. It was obvious that this place was kept to high cleanliness standards. Luckily, due to us booking for a pretty late showing we didn't have to encounter many people. The only people we did see were the employees, who were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of social distancing markers and all the staff was wearing the necessary PPE. They had signs around making the public aware that guests are to wear masks when roaming around the main public areas of the theater. There was a dining area in the middle of the lobby that was blocked off. I'm not sure if this was due to it being at a late hour or just COVID precautions, either way I was glad to see it blocked off.   It was extremely simple and we experienced no complications showing our tickets for the private theater. At the concession, despite us ordering quite a bit of food, snacks and drinks we received our order very fast. There was also no issue finding our showing room as everything was properly labeled and in plain view. The showing room was clean and comfortable. Those seats are my favorite parts about going to the movies! The actual movie viewing experience was awesome and everything went smoothly. It was a fun experience.   Overall, I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this theater and I know now where I can go for a great movie experience! read more

Update: an end to a saga. 3-9-23: I purchase tickets to a 6pm showing of Mario on 4-5-24 4-4-23: after two bad experiences, I decided maybe I should stop giving this cinema the benefit of a doubt and checked their schedule to make sure my seats were still booked. They were not. The whole showtime was gone. I requested a refund through the refund link on their tickets. Nothing. I use the "contact us" page to get a refund. Nothing. Called. Nothing. I go down to the theater the next day and am informed that they cannot issue a refund because I should have requested one the day before. I explained that I did. They offered vouchers. I said I want a refund. Nothing. From 4-4 to 4-19 I emailed corporate, a customer service rep, an IT guy, the ticket booking company, ALL of Epic's social media accounts, and continue to try the customer service page. Nothing. I report then to the better business bureau. Nothing. Finally, I did some detective work and found the email address of the owner of the chain, explaining that I cannot get anyone to just give me a refund. That was today, 4-19. The owner replies, telling me someone will be in touch soon. I get a call two hours later from a guy telling me they can refund me, but only in cash. I'm like "fine." I drove down and finally got a refund. I am not returning. I've given too many chances. To be clear, I do not blame the Lee Vista Epic employees for this. They tried with what they were given. This was the result of policy, a shockingly bad booking system, and an unresponsive customer service system. That is why I kept buying tickets here. It was a nice theater once. It's a real bummer to see it give up like this. Bottom line: if a customer has to contact the owner to get something done, then the entire structure under that owner has failed. What a great place to watch a movie! From what I can tell, all of the seats are powered recliners which makes for a very comfortable movie watching experience. It's a longer drive to come to this theater for us, but it's worthwhile as you're not crammed in. If you're short in stature, you may find it difficult to see the screen from the back row due to the walls between the rows. Definitely hard if you recline the whole way. If you want to recline, sit closer to the screen. Didn't get snacks or anything as we were heading to dinner afterwards. The M&M's smelled amazing though. I'd say give it a try. Maybe they'll build more or other theaters will convert if business shifts. read more

Attended the 9:30 pm showing of Beetlejuice on Friday, 9/6/24 and the movie was interrupted and the screen was black for a couple of minutes. The film was not rewound nor was there any type of apology or statement from a manager about the occurrence. The cost to watch a movie is enough to demand a good experience. I am disappointed because I expected more from the theater. Each person should have been offered to attend another showing of the movie for free due to this inconvenience, but customer service is just not the same in 2024!! read more

This theater is beautiful with an amazing old rustic look. However, it is always very dirty. The trash cans are ALWAYS over flowing, the carpets are stained and dirty, popcorns all over the floors on the hallways, theater rooms, and in general. If (when) the cleanliness improves, my rating will be a 5 (star). Please make cleaning a top priority! On a positive note, the restrooms are beautiful and always clean. One of my favorite movie theaters, it's super spacious, everything is pretty much self serve except for when you cash out. The chair are recliners and super cushioned leather seating. I've been coming here since it first opened and I will probably continue coming here when I have kids. The only downside is sometimes there's not really employees working to assist you but usually you can figure it out, I bought 3 tickets to watch the menu last night but no one scanned my tickets and no one was around that area for the remainder of the night, which only shows how many people could easily sneak in.
