Since they started at the new location they have been much shadier about pricing and repairs. Two times I've brought in my car to check on some warning lights and been charged absurd amounts for fixes only to end up leaking fluid a week or two later. This car isn't even a decade old yet. They are not trustworthy. Took my car in for an alignment n to see why my back tire was wearing. As I had put on four brand new tires about 12,000 miles ago. They told me I needed front brakes immediately. Little did they know that I had just changed the all brakes/rotors so they were brand new. Told me my back shocks were bad and leaked out all the oil. Is why my one back tire was wearing. (ridiculous !!) And they would not warranty this new tire if I did not change the shocks. (why would a tire be warranty for wear anyway?) At this point, I did not trust them. So I paid for the alignment and a new tire and left. Checked my shocks. They had great resistance and there was no oil leaked out. Though they were rusty, but still great working condition as should be. The alignment they had done was bad as my steering wheel was sitting at 11 o'clock instead of straight up. I took it back in. They did the alignment again. And then told me that I needed four new tires is the reason the alignment went out right away. (it did not go out right away, it was bad from the second. I drove it off their lot because it was not done properly in the first place.) This guy should have at least looked at their history before telling me that I need for brand new tires to see that they had just put on a brand new tire two weeks ago. They lie and use scare tactics to have you do a service that you do not need. I would never go back. And I would never recommend them to anyone. As I sat and waited for them to redo the alignment, anyone that picked up their vehicle in that hour and a half, they were told that they needed this and needed that. So it is common practice for them to do this to everyone. I mean come on, why would they tell me I need to change my front brakes immediately when there was absolutely no wear at all on them because they were literally brand new. Had someone else look at my vehicle. The rear axle was pushed over to the side a a little bit. They fixed the problem. I borrowed my vehicle a lot to people who need it. Someone must've smashed a curb. Anyway, was the reason for that black Tire wearing. That is why I took my vehicle into St. Croix automotive in the first place. But was absolutely nothing that they did to have a solution for the problem that I actually had. All this makes me wonder if they actually change peoples oil and filter. Wow, just dropping off my 2022 Ford Edge Today Thursday 7/24/25 for an oil change and tire rotation..........this appointment was set up during my last visit on Monday 7/21..........you/they didn't have it in the system when I got there, didn't have the time scheduled, the vehicle type, oil change and tire rotation listed my phone number or name......... I doubt I will be doing any more business at this location and will recommend to all the public " Not to Use this company" per my personal experience of poor service........ Give credit where credit is due and when you receive shit service, twice in one week, call a spade a spade..........and move on !!!!!! One good thing, they got my car in on my scheduled appointment time so no delay this time around....... read more

Unfortunately I have not had a good experience with this shop. Been in and out of this shop all summer being told it's this or it's that and car is still not right. I'm pleased with the owner for trying to make things right as he is as solid as they come just not to sure about the mechanics. It is time for me to move on as I have not had one successful cruise all summer and this recent weekend had to be towed home because of it not running right backfiring and stalling out thanks for your time they definitely need better trained mechanics cheaper prices explains it all they have worked on my car all summer and the thing still isn't right along with pinching my transmission line and now car won't even run all my hard earned money down the drain not the right way to do business now I'm done I do not recommend this shop read more

They have worked on two of our vehicles. The first being the most impressive in cost and fast time of getting done deserving of a FIVE STAR PLUS. The other vehicle probably the same rating. A good mechanic is a busy mechanic. Thus was a longer wait to get in and get done. read more

We have used St Croix Automotive for years after being referred they by an aircraft mechanic friend and the are the most straight forward auto service with very reasonable prices. They often can really fix things instead of just replacing. I have had multiple occasions where I was expecting expense repairs that they have been able to fix. Splicing a wire on a damaged ignition wire instead a new harness. Fixed a wire on an ABS sensor instead of replacing. The list goes on. read more

Absolute worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. They lied about fixing things on our van and when our transmission blew while driving across country they refused to acknowledge any blame. Even AFTER the mechanics in the other state told us it was obviously caused by poor workmanship at their shop. I left a negative review on their Facebook page and they deleted it, blocked me, and accused me of libel/slander. We lost our van, which was our HOME, because they did not do what we paid them to do. Horrible business practices and I will NEVER use them again. I will make sure to let as many people as I can know that this business is not to be trusted. read more

They did a terrific job on the replacement of my clutch, smooth as silk now, and for about $125 less than they estimated originally. They had a little trouble getting the part, but they worked hard to get me my car back as quickly as possible before my schedule turned ugly. I will definitely go back. read more
