My New Year resolution was to start smoking...I was being a tad sarcastic...but one day, recently, after deciding I liked Swisher Sweets and began to read about the real cigar experience, I walked into this shop. I am a sixty something single woman. I was greeted immediately with warmth and empathy for smoking Swishers! Nonetheless, I knew what I was getting into and they knew what I wanted. I stayed a while and smoked my first Sweet Jane, recommended by Angie. Someday soon, I will go in just to share a smoke in good company. Cigar smokers, in my experience, are generally happy people who enjoy life and being who they are. Also, there is a Dunn Brothers next door...coffee and cigars...what could be better? I love cigars! The delicious smell pouring out was just too tempting to walk on by one afternoon and I found myself wandering in to pick a few up and chit chatted with a few of the patrons and staff. They host events and made me feel very welcome to stop in and sit and smoke anytime. They have a place out back when the weather is decent also. They are more than helpful with information when you enter the humidor and will assist you in finding the type of cigar that suits your smoking needs. read more

I bought Boyfriend a pipe for Christmas and we happened to be in Hudson, so we stopped in to get some tobacco so he could give it a go. The, at first glance, forbidding gent who was behind the counter kind of gave us a weird once-over, but when we asked him what would be a good first pipe tobacco, he became very friendly and helpful. He was actually super sweet and gave us(and by us I suppose I mean Boyfriend) lots of good advice on how to get going with the pipesmoking. So, if at first glance this store doesn't seem worth going into, if you are serious about good smoking, it's worth a stop. And it's a comfort to me to know that Hudson is getting a little more culturally with-it because every town needs a good tobacco shop. read more

I have been coming here off and on since inception and I really like the place. Cigars: Great cigar inventory, quality and prices. Employees: Again, great! Everyone is friendly and knowledgable. Pipes: Some pipes and a wide selection of tobacco. However, it'd be nice to have samples or bulk tobacco available. Accessories: They've got everything you need to start enjoying that cigar or pipe immediately. The location: There are chairs in the front by the register and some comfy leather ones in the back room where you can watch TV. There's also a room downstairs for peeps who pay a monthly fee to keep their cigars on site in a humidified locket. My only complaint is that I wish there were tables strewn around for customers to play cards, games or to do some work while enjoying a cigar but the place just isn't big enough. read more
