I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional alteration experience that I encountered from Patt , one of the alteration specialists at this Woodbury location. I have used two other St. Croix Cleaners branches over the past several years for regular dry cleaning, and been satisfied with their regular dry cleaning. But my body shape has changed with age, and I found that I have shrunk, both in waist size (positively) and height (negatively). I decided to have five pair of pant legs shortened, and took them to one of my regular SCC branches, which forwarded them on to this Woodbury location for the alteration work. I received an unexpected telephone call from a Pat, an alteration specialist at the Woodbuiryc branch, expressing concern over the work order she had received along with the five pair of pants. She said that the current inseams of the pants ranged between 27" and 32.5", a range of 5.5", yet the work order stated that all of the five pants should be reduced by the same amount, 2.5". She explained that the result would be pant legs ranging from 24.5" to 30". She said she was prepared to do that if I wanted them done that way, but she thought it was an unusual request, and just wanted to be sure that I really wanted that much variation in the pant legs. I replied that I wasn't unaware of the wide variation in the pant lengths, and had just told the clerk at my local branch to shorten all of them by 2.5". Pat went on to explain that pants are designed differently depending on how they were to be worn, and if I wanted each pair to look its best, they should be altered depending on how they were to be worn. We agreed that I should come in for a fitting before she did any work. I did that, and was measured while wearing each pair so that they would come out looking the way I wanted them to look after the alterations. I am very impressed by that quality of customer service and attention to detail. I sure am glad that Pat made the effort to be sure that I would be pleased with the final result. I will return to her with any additional alteration work, and after I told my wife about my experience, she will be bringing her work to Pat as well. read more

Absolutely DISGUSTED with the service here. The last FOUR times we've used them, they have messed something up. Last time, my suit pants weren't cleaned by the promised date, even that i paid for an express service and when I finally got them back, THEY WERE STILL DIRTY. This time, I showed up a FULL DAY after my suit and shirts were supposed to be ready, and they STILL weren't ready. No call, no warning, no manager, no compensation, and absolutely no attempt to make things right. The front desk employee was dismissive and acted like she couldn't care less. Their excuse? "Our press was down." Equipment breaks. Phones don't. Four chances, four bad experiences. Never again. read more

In a huge hurry as I had to lead with the logistics of the services, etc, St Croix Cleaners came through on a custom request I brought to them in a very swift manner. The professionalism of the staff showed through very well, with them being empathetic, curious, very genuine, and caring people. I was in with a suede vest which I bought in Nashiville, asked if it could be gently dry cleaned? Amy said yes and we will make sure to handle this item with special care. Amy was very nonweldable with all services at this cleaner, pricing, how long it would take ect. She was also very kind, personable and very friendly. Be weary of getting alteration here. First I have to say I'm not one to leave a negative review but after being treated poorly by the director at this location-Spencer I feel others should know about my experience. I brought two garments here to get altered (my infant's dress slacks and a bridesmaid dress) after picking them up for the first time both of the alteration were wrong. My sons pants were capris & my dress was sewn/runched on butt and BURNED by an iron-yikes talk about panic as these items were for a wedding. I called the store and they said come back in they will try and fix them. It cost me $150-to shorten my dress, take the bust in slightly, and her my sons dress pants---so after 3 visits back to the store & my dress not being fixed but as good as they were going to get it before the wedding....My last stop in I happen to run into the director Spencer (great just the man I need to see right!? Wrong) So asked him after stating all mishaps with the dress and it being burned if I could get some of my money back (I only asked for money for the alteration they messed up I was willing to pay for the other alteration) he said the best he could do was a $30 in store credit. When I stated again how I was upset to have to come back to the store on 3 occasions both my garments were messed up.. my "fix" to my dress was not fixed but as good as they were going get it as I had run out of time before my event to keep coming back and reminded him they BURNed me velvet dress He instead proceeded to show me the manufacture tag which had an iron logo on it and said "see here it says you can iron the fabric so it's not on us" -even though they are in the business of handling textiles correctly. I could go on about the discussion we had and his inconsideration for me as a customer however Just know they clearly don't care about making the customer happy especially when they have made a mistake. read more

Amy and the crew have always treated me very well. However I had to finally leave a review after the most recent experience. I had a Wedding on Saturday where I was an Usher. On Thursday before the wedding one of the Groomsmen got Covid and couldn't attend. Luckily I had a Navy Blue Suit purchased from another wedding earlier in the year. I ran it down to Amy on Thursday night at 6:55pm (5 Minutes before the close). She explained she could have it done by Friday at 4pm however it would be a slight up charge. I knew it didn't matter I needed it done. Not only did she call me and let me know it was done by 1:30pm but I was shocked when the total only came to $39.00!! I know I can't find another place near me that can provide that quick of a turnaround for a Suit Coat, Pants, and Shirt at that price point. She even found something I had left in a pocket in my suit coat and saved it from getting cleaned. I love these guys and I haven't even utilized their pickup/delivery services offered online yet. read more

Very disappointed. Just moved to Woodbury and took a fair amount of my high quality clothes there. 90% of them shrunk and I'm livid! I will never go back again. They ruined all my clothes valued over 800$. read more

The quality of the cleanings here have been satisfactory, but the service is poor. I was charged $23 for a "repair" to a pair of dress slacks I'd dropped off for a cleaning only. The "repair" that was not discussed with me prior to being conducted. I don't believe a "repair" actually occurred and no one could provide any details about the repair. read more

St. Croix Cleaners is one of the best dry cleaners in the eastern suburbs. Located in a small strip mall in Woodbury, they offer eco-friendly dry cleaning (recycling hangers, using light natural solvents, & bio-degradable plastic bags) & they repair clothing... zippers, snaps, difficult buttons, lining, etc. The only reason they are receving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are located in the heart of Woodbury & not easily accessible to anyone not living in the neighborhood. They even have a VIP club with discounts on dry cleaning & repairs. Fantastic customer service & a great business :) read more

Wow, I didn't expect to find a place nearby that had similar charge plus faster too than I got for my wedding pants hemmed. Well, it was nice to have the seamstress on-site so that she could measure me quickly. Also, I was concerned and came back the next day to re-measure to make sure. Well, I got the pants back within a week and it fit perfectly. Plus, they ironed my pants as well too so very good on detail and service. read more

Long time customer of this location and the Stillwater store. I feel like something has changed with this company in the last year or two and the quality and care in service has really declined. All this while prices have climbed. I've had several garments ruined or close to ruined - I've been able to return a couple close to their previous state with a lot of TLC work. All were wool sweaters. I will never go near this place with another piece of silk, wool, cashmere, or any fine fiber. I had the same experience as another reviewer with my down comforter - the stitching was removed in several blocks, the down was lumped unevenly and has never been the same. I've just spent another evening pressing a suit I'd asked them to press after cleaning, but it was on the hanger looking like it spent most of its time at the cleaners in the bottom of a bin instead. This was after trying to reblock another sweater they'd shrunk. The bill at this place is eye popping, which I was willing to pay in the beginning, as the work was quality, and the clothes didn't reek of chemicals as they often do at other cleaners, but now the pants are returned wrinkled, visibly shorter, and my knit shirts are itty-bitty. This long time customer will be looking for a new cleaner. read more

I hate to write a poor review, but feel this situation warrants it. I recently brought in our king size comforter to be dry cleaned. Full warning, our toddler had smeared chocolate on it. I had notified the sales associate of the stain when we dropped it off. When I picked up the comforter, I was not notified that the stain had not been removed. Nor was I notified that the comforter had shrunken and no longer fits our bed! Had I known that their cleaners are unable to remove chocolate stains, I wouldn't have brought it there. I paid 40 plus dollars to have the comforter dry cleaned. When I spoke with sales associate to notify her of my disappointment, I was told that "it's their job to clean the garment" and they are not obligated to notify customers if they are unable to remove stains. There's other dry cleaners nearby, so looks like we'll be going elsewhere! read more

First of all I am a patient individual and understand "human error" however, I dropped my Marine Corps Uniforms off and many times they are wrong from double creases to no starch after many comversations explaining how I specifically need my uniforms. This last time nothing was pressed, starched , or simply cared for. Complete disrespect and show that this specific company does not care about their clients. I WILL NOT be coming back. My 7 yr old can do a better job oh they are overpriced for the level of quality provided. Seek a different cleaners! read more

Highly disappointed in the poor customer service I received in bridal restoration. I was promised my dress per my receipt on September 28. I just got my dress today October 23. I requested when I dropped my dress off on August 20th to view it before it was placed in the box. I never received a call to view the dress so in September I called and they said it has been ready to view. The lady at that time said it should be ready within a week, I again received no call and called the Stillwater location Yesterday, October 23. They said it had been ready since October 10 (promised to me Sept 28). I went to Stillwater and my dress was not there it was in Woodbury. Went to Woodbury, discussed my experience with them, talked to someone over the phone about my experience said they couldn't do anything and that they had tried calling me even though it was a blatant lie as I use my phone and voicemail on a daily basis for work and have no issues. I am highly disappointed in the lack of customer service when I spent $350. I understand things happen but when they deny that anything happened even though there is proof, it is highly disappointing. I was hoping to use their business in the future for dry cleaning but after the way I was treated I will not be using or recommending this business. read more
