The team showed up on a Thursday morning and finished the entire roof project by Friday night. Dan Essay the project supervisor is on site for the entire two days and even showed up on a 3rd day to walk around the property to make sure there is no loose ends. I was surprised to see that the ratings were much lower on yelp. I proceeded anyways because I was already on the phone as I was reading the reviews here. They got Mike, the owner next day to provide a quote. There was some slight mis communication with the timing but regardless he inspected my roof for about 10-15 minutes and emailed me over the quote at night. Overall the price quoted was reasonable, I did not move forward with O'lyn Roofing but I did appreciate them making the quote process easy and painless. I have gotten quotes from 2 other companies and they would make me sit through 60-90min presentation before just giving me a number. In one case I cut them off at 30min and they left without giving me a quote, instead insisted to reschedule another 30min to talk. No one have time for all that! Mike seems like a decent guy, straight to the point based on my short interactions with him and the quote process. Although I did not move forward with them for this particular project, I will keep them in mind if anything changes or if any other projects come up down the line.

After the bad storms this winter, I noticed a small corner of trim had actually come off exposing the sheathing underneath. Fearing water damage, I called Connell Roofing who had put a new roof on our home 12 years ago (that looks as good as new), and did more modest trim replacement 6 years ago. Dennis and John were out the next day, reviewed all the trim around the house that had some damage, gave an estimate, and said they could start in only a week. While our house has sturdy cedar board siding, the trim boards are soft pine, and there were multiple areas of sunken wood consistent with rot underneath. The bad pine trim was to be replaced with PVC trim that will last a lifetime. When the day arrived for repair, Matt Cabral made another assessment and spotted a couple of additional trim areas that could be seen to need replacement now that all the snow was gone. Additionally he spotted that the chimney flashing needed replacement, and kept an eye on things as the work progressed. The team did a fantastic job removing the damaged pine trim and replacing it with the new PVC trim. It was clear they were experts and highly efficient. They were very careful not to damage the many trees and bushes around the house. When they left there was not even a nail on the ground! Thank you!

I ended up paying over twice as much as I had thought to get the snow removed because they had a "minimum" price above the square footage of my roof. I had water leaking in my house and went with the price - but they do not conduct business professionally when it comes to providing accurate pricing information. They were also very poor with communication overall. I would look elsewhere for any roofing or exterior needs. Disappointing and I feel like I got taken advantage of by a company that has more than enough money to go around.
