spent the 4th of july weekend here. the lazy river entrance is so slippery && has been a safety hazard for quite some time from what i saw on other reviews. also no tumblrs/stanleys are allowed in the lazy river. they have a bar set up for you to purchase your alcohol from them. the pool was as hot as the hot tub.. && the wifi is poor. read more

I should've taken pictures, but it rained overnight and our entire campsite (dirt/gravel and not level at all) was under water. It was an entire marsh. The place is over grown and unkept. The "Food Truck" event was a tent set up that should've had an ecoli sign above it. The website pictures are zoomed in on the "lazy river" (with no water flow, just green murky stagnant water) so it looks decent. But it's stupid small. Same with the pool. If your vibe is podunk BFE than you might enjoy. Anyone else BEWARE. read more

The actual park is quite lovely and has pretty good amenities. The bathrooms could be cleaner. We didn't like the rocks on the road and camper sites , having to sweep daily. Because of the rocks the pest were atrocious. No matter how much you treat, the bugs were nonstop. The lawn is not regularly maintained. Dead trees all around. One fell through a camper a few weeks ago. Hot tub is hit or miss. Often smells gross like it hadn't been cleaned. Fire ants are everywhere. Pond in the back is barely a pond. Management is not good. Maintenance staff is sketchy. We were actually told by the after hours on call person that they were not obligated to fix things after hours, and later confirmed by management that the staff was over work and underpaid and had no obligation to fix things after hours. Being full time campers there is a certain expectation of rules, but they are arbitrarily enforced. Over all I don't think this place will thrive until management is changed. read more

Basics: I slipped on the entrance to the lazy river. Upon going to the urgent care the next day, I found out I fractured my elbow. I did everything right, filed out an accident report, called the company, iced my arm etc. The next business day I called st Ives to ask them how they wanted to handle the dr. visits and I was told that they would not be doing anything for me since the accident never happened. They said, cameras don't lie, people do. So buyer beware, these aren't good people. No recommendations from me or my family. read more

Don't waste your time coming here. Great amenities however the park is not kept up. More weeds around the pool and mini golf. They really need to invest in grass to make the park look better. All gravel and the sites are not level. Just stay away. read more

My wife and I stayed there for about 2 months and other than the mosquitoes it's not bad . Lazy river is cool , the pool is a little small for the size of the park . And the owners were very friendly and easy to deal with . Keep it up read more

The employees were willing to risk my life while battling stage 4 cancer by illegally cutting off the power & therefore my oxygen machine even after the police told them to turn it back on via the telephone. As I am incredibly ill & generally bedridden I was not directly involved in the both the trespassing & assault that she facilitated by bringing her husband, a non-employee, to my fiancée & my residence to look for a package that she herself gave my fiancée who happens to share the same name as her wildly inappropriate & aggressive husband while she was on the clock. I had just had surgery followed by 6 hours of chemo the following day when she brought him over to intimidate & verbally assault my fiancée calling him a "liar" and a "thief", neither of which he is. He by some unimaginable coincidence had actually ordered the same item & showed the email tracking to prove it, but these people were too immature, vindictive, cowardly, malicious, and honestly just horrible..to then evict us despite him returning the package..they still maliciously retaliated fully aware of my condition & the fact that we were just peacefully trying to survive what we are going through. Then, on top of that, as I mentioned in the headline, as my fiancée was trying to get us moved I was there alone when they cut the power illegally resulting in hours of me in extreme heat with no air hoping to make it until he got back with no regard for my life, the fact that the police called to tell them to turn on, or just being a decent human being. I know this is very specific, but are these really the kind of people you would ever want to be around? Also, their "amenities" include some very simple, with no obstacles putting greens directly in the sun & a lazy river smaller than most pools. In addition, the days I was lucky enough to feel well enough to go outside the gravel/boulders are a true safety hazard for rolling, spraining, breaking ankles & whatever else you may hit when you fall. Lastly, if you have small pets keep them inside because the coyotes & bob cats are not shy. The only nice thing I can say is that the one working shower room was clean. Lastly, the auxiliary staff was clearly on some kind of drugs..it is very obvious. read more

Unfortunately I have to leave an unfavorable review. After a wonderful trip last October to St. Ives, we booked with them again this past weekend. We loved the closeness to home, amenities, lazy river, Karaoke and staff the first time, so was so excited to go back. However, this time events that were advertised got canceled without having a backup plan, the hot tub was dirty with foam, not bubbles, bingo and Karaoke canceled, and the lazy river entrance was slick as snot. My sister slipped getting into the lazy river, and hit her elbow, hip and head. My brother in law, husband and I witnessed it. She went to office to write up an accident report, and signed it along with an office worker. She went to urgent care and her elbow is fractured. Upon calling St. Ives to let them know, they told her that the event never happened. They said they checked cameras and their was nothing on them. So disappointed in St. Ives lack of concern. To add insult to injury, the office worker, Connie, said to my sister, "ma'am, cameras don't lie, people do!" We all saw her slip, and were there to help her up, and they are saying she lied. Will not patron them again, and will stop advertising for them. An excellent place to go from now on is El Campo's Lost Lagoon! read more

St Ives resort is an extreme over statement. Been under construction for over two years. Obviously they have no idea what they are doing. The roads and parking spots are nothing but crushed up concrete. and the owner says the people like it. No they don't and I said something last time we was here. So we will never be back! The roads are also higher than the pads as well so guess we'll the water stands when it rains? Yep the pads are flooded. In the rules it says one table and one outside plant. Well on some lots it looks like a green house exploded. And on one they have a wooden privacy fence around the hitch area nothing trashy there. And bring extra sewer hose and water hose they decided to put them at the very back of the pad so you'll need another sewer hose support as well. This guy literally knows nothing about rving or how to build a proper Rv pad. The name of this place should be changed to "trailer trash park where we don't care what you want " Because give it a couple more years it will be drug infested and more trashy then it is now. read more

I highly recommend you stay far away, from St. Ives RV Resort in Alvin, Texas. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The owner is hostile and verbally abusive. He is very unprofessional and does not know how to communicate, with his patrons. My parents were living there, for over a year. At the end of December, both of them got sick. I live in Wisconsin. I came down there, on New Year's Day, to help my parents. On January 10th, my mom passed away. Eleven days later, my day passed away. Now, here I am 1200 miles away from home and trying to figure out how to get everything back to Wisconsin. I am alone and do not know anyone, in Texas. I received a text from the office. They hand me a bill and let me know what is owed, from my parents. They are aware of the situation. I explained to them that I am still figuring things out and I will pay them, as soon as I can. A few days later, they asked again. I reassure them, they will get their money as soon as I could pay them. I had absolutely no intention of not paying them. I told them I couldn't even find the card that was used, for payment. A few days passed. My sister called to make a payment. She was talking to Jay, the owner. He was yelling at her and acting unprofessional. She told him, several times, he needed to calm down, he did not. He didn't give her the chance to tell him, she was calling to pay the bill. She repeated for him to calm down. He became even more belligerent. She hung up on him because he continued to yell. Right after that phone call, he came barging into the laundry room, where I was. I was unaware of what just happened. He started yelling, swearing and threatening me. He told me that he was going to stop me from removing anything, including personal property, from the RV park. He also threatened to call the cops, if I tried to leave with anything. Apparently, he realized he was wrong and could not do that because the cops never showed up. He was extremely unprofessional. He has no business ethic, at all. He has no business running a business, that includes interaction with people. This was all happening days after losing both of my parents. He had absolutely no compassion, what so ever. This is all over $813.23. My parents always paid on time and never had been late. Little does Jay know, I am not responsible for my parent's debt and neither is my sister. He is a conniving jackass. My sister ended up paying, with her personal credit card. I had to leave and come back to Wisconsin. I was not able to take everything, right away. I could not trust Jay with personal property still down there. I wouldn't put it past him to do something, to my parent's belongings before someone was able to get it. After the bill was paid, we had until February 18th to remove my parent's property. Two days before my dad died, he told me, "Don't worry about Jay. He is a good guy. He will take care of you." Little did he know, Jay is absolutely not a good guy! He did nothing but berate me. He never even offered his condolences. When I was back in Wisconsin, he was plotting ways to illegally charge my sister's credit card. Instead of talking to either my sister or I, he was going to do this without permission. Now, the park conditions. They are terrible. Every time it rains, there are nothing but huge muddy puddles, everywhere. It makes your cars and campers a mess. If you plan on relaxing and sleeping in, good luck. The construction starts every morning except Sundays, at 7:30 am sharp. Hopefully, your camper isn't too close to the construction. One day, one of the construction workers broke the fresh water feed, to a whole row of campers. Instead of having it properly fixed, they literally put a stick in the hole. It took a couple weeks for it to be properly fixed. The whole time the water had a brown hue. It was gross. I couldn't even give that to the dogs. On their website and other places, they advertise that there is a lazy river, mini golf course, volleyball court, club house, rc track and more. If you are planning your vacation with those amenities in mind, you better call first. They do not have any of those things. They are a new park and are not finished with them. The only thing they have is a small 3ft deep pool and a small hot tub. It would be depressing if you went there excepting more and that is all you got. If you are considering a vacation or extended stay, at this RV park, please beware. All he is worried about is the almighty dollar. He doesn't care about the visitors or the long-term residents. read more

Pretty good park. Easy drive from Houston. The park is a few miles out from any restaurants and stores. The park is all white gravel and dusty at times. The quiet park has a nice lazy river and a pool. The Wi-Fi is poor. read more

Well, let me start with the owner, Jay. To your face he'll tell you what you want to hear, but those requests will never happen. In my opinion, he's pretty much a total jackass that is clueless how to build an rv park. So so so many things he did wrong, and he doesn't care one bit. All the connections are way at the back, better bring extra everything for your shore connections! The park is so dusty at all times! The roads and pads are far from being right! Crushed concrete?? Really?? And trust me, a lot of this crap is 3-4 inches in size! We walk in here and drive through here every day, while stumbling and tripping all over these damn concrete chunks!! Oh yeah, it seems the roads are higher than the pads, so what does that tell ya? Yeah, lots of water around the camper when raining, instead of a good rain run off. The pool, lmao, is nowhere big enough for a park this size, and the same goes for the lazy River! Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that Jay plans to sell passes for outsiders to come in to use the facilities (pool, putt putt, lazy River, and the race track, if he ever does it like he's advertised!). And they have rental units in place, not a big fan of that!! Come by, take a tour, you'll never look back when you leave! read more

My grandparents traveled from out of town and rented a spot here so they could have their own space but still be close to us. definitely not a place you want to go if you're looking for a ton of amenities for kiddos but if you're looking for a spot with some quiet and peace would definitely recommend. read more
