The equipment is great, the facilities are great, the amenities are great, the group exercise classes are great.... the indoor tennis courts... the golf practice area... I could go on and on, really. Some of my favorite aspects include: - The Fitness Equipment: TCR has cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill, bikes, etc.), nautilus equipment, free weights, a Smith machine, TRX, etc. You name it, they have it. They even have a recumbent bike that has video games integrated into it. So, as you are riding the bike, you can pretend that you are rolling along in your own "shot 'em up" style game. Very cool. -The pool: The pool itself is huge and multi-lane. It even opens up to a large deck for getting some sun or hitting up their pool bar and grill. Oh, and they have Happy Hours on the deck on Fridays during the summer! -The group exercise classes: TCR offers Les Mills classes and other great strength, cardio, cycle, and "mind, body, spirit" classes. There is definitely something for everyone. -The staff: Wow! The staff at TCR are all so nice and knowledgeable. Kudos to the management for excellent recruiting and training! I'm a new resident and I'm still changing my id's and billing addresses. Spoke to a lovely gentleman a couple of weeks ago and was told as long as i have the Secaucus lease with my name on it, I'm eligible to sign up. Today spoke to a nasty woman who told me that i was misinformed and in fact do need ID with Secaucus address, I politely reminded her that i know at least of 4 people that signed up with ID's from different city's and provided their Secaucus leases, she told me that's not true and I was lying. I literarily know 4 people that did this with no problem and multiple staff members from the gym notified me that the lease is all i need. I understand that sometimes people are not trained well and might be misinformed, I worked in hospitality for 12 years, but this woman, besides being completely clueless, was incredibly rude, interrupted me and even raised her voice. Not sure what she is going through, but we just signed up for LA Fitness and will never go to Rec center. Please retrain her, she is a horrible employee.
