I arrived on time and the waiting room was packed. I sat down and let them know I was here by opening their text message from the previous day and saying "I'm here". One minute later I was called in for my blood draw, easy peasy!! Karoleen was so nice and pleasant to me that it made my day. Please do yourself a favor and create an appointment online and then when you arrive just open your phone and tell them you are in the waiting room. They also text you several days before to remind you and let you know what to do when you arrive. Nice experience and so quick!!! Thanks Labcorp!!

I came to the Lab on Garfield after receiving a slip from my doctor at St. John. I learned that you…read morecould go to any lab closest to you. The lady at the front desk at St John told me I did not need to make an appointment. Walk ins are welcome. I was a little confused because I did not know where the entrance was for the St John lab. I had to call the number on google and ask for which entrance (East). I parked and went in to look at the directory and walked down the hall. The waiting room was empty and small, but very clean. I told her my name, gave her my slip and insurance card, and only waited a few minutes. Everything went by really fast. The nurse was kind and helpful. She asked if I had any questions and took her time with me because I do not like needles. She explained what she was doing and what was being tested, which was very helpful. I am glad I chose St. John.

My doc ordered two separate MRIs. When the doctor went to review the MRI, only one test was on the…read moredisc. I went back to Henry Ford and was told that the MRI techs decided only one test was necessary, and without notifying me or the doctor, only put one test on the disc. Since when does a lab tech decide what doctor's orders they will or will not follow? Esp since both MRIs were performed at the time of my appointment. Obviously it was a technical mix up and they are in CYA mode with the 'tech decides which tests to perform'. If that's true, I'll never go to Henry Ford again because I'd like the doctor to determine what tests I need, not a random lab tech. Bottom line, if you have MRIs scheduled here, make sure you know how many, and you have the corresponding results in hand before you leave.

Understand that when you walk in, there is no window or human to check in with-just a tablet, so be prepared to scan your driver's license and insurance card- if using insurance. Christopher was our phlebotomist, and he was professional, kind, and gentle. I struggle with needles, and I believe he sensed that. His calm demeanor and gentle conversation kept me blissfully distracted. My arm looks fine a day later (no bruising). Will return to this location.

Came for blood draw for lab work; appointment made online…read more Lot parking and easy access to front door. Great signage. Some guy (patient) walked out of a door inside, smiling at me more than a regular friendly smile. If you're a girl, then IYKYK. People come for various reasons. I just realized this includes getting tested for venerable diseases? That might explain him smiling at me....maybe he got good news? But I digress.... Finally I got called, and was set up for the blood draw. The lady poked me and could NOT get blood! She made me drink a cup of water. I should have brought my own water bottle. I don't trust water from a tap. Anyway, she's made me drink it. Made me worry that's going to affect my results. More stress and cortisol coursing through my body! She was nice but she expressed she was ready to go home. I hear her, but that always taints my reviews. Overall, fine. Easy appointment scheduling, parking, and efficient in person experience. But BRING YOUR OWN WATER! Results were posted next day.

This location doesn't stock pressure wrap to prevent bruising after a blood draw - I asked for it…read morebecause healthcare providers have told me that pressure wrapping is helpful. The technician told me it's a Quest corporate policy not to pay for pressure wrap. Sure enough, I got a bruise last time I was there. Also, their laboratories are so slow! It has been nearly three weeks and I don't have my results yet. I've called customer service repeatedly and they haven't given me an explanation. If you have another option, use it!
