Not as good as it should be. When my Dr went in for an emergency, complicated back problems, top notch (thank goodness) and was admitted to Barrows for surgery with the neurosurgeon highly rated and a concerned doctor giving my daughter a chance...and what an excellent doctor! Still a better hospital than any Banner so I'd recommend them out of that alone, but their rating is in the toilet concerning me.

Nurses aside, the rest of the staff has question marks. Let's start with the gestapo ICE wannabes sitting in the emergency room that ask you what you are doing there and then tell you to go stand in line. They cannot hear a thing behind that stupid glass. Just cover your face like your heroes and get rid of the glass. The doctors all seem concerned on what happened on a test 5 years ago so much more so than a current test result. The high blood pressure from 5 years ago has already been addressed... as you can tell by the current readings. As a visitor, one day I walk in freely and go where I want, no questions asked. The next day a dude runs me down like he's a free safety to tell me he has to check me in and give me a designer paper bracelet to wear. If the free safety is correct, the day 1 staff should be fired for dereliction of duty. Why is it not possible to assume that anybody not in a hospital gown is a visitor? Why is the bracelet necessary? Somebody got paid to come up with this idea.

Mr. Kenney could tell I was upset bc I didn't get to see my elderly dad before he went to emergency surgery. He quickly advised me the fastest way to see him. I know this doesn't seem like a lot-but I am forever grateful bc I got to spend time with him right before surgery. I was also there to support my mom who was very worried. As a board-certified spine surgeon, I just finished a peer-to-peer review with a UnitedHealthcare…read morephysician reviewer regarding one of my patients. The experience was deeply frustrating. My patient has two cervical disc herniations causing spinal cord compression. Based on my clinical evaluation, imaging, and the available medical literature, I recommended cervical artificial disc replacement because it preserves motion and is an appropriate treatment option for carefully selected patients. The procedure was denied--not because the patient was not suffering, not because conservative treatment had not failed, and not because there was a better evidence-based alternative. It was denied because UnitedHealthcare's internal policy considered the patient's degree of disc degeneration outside its criteria for disc replacement, despite my belief that the recommendation was medically appropriate. What makes this particularly difficult to understand is that UnitedHealthcare was willing to approve a fusion, which permanently eliminates motion at the involved levels, while denying a motion-preserving procedure that I believe is in my patient's best interest. When an insurer approves a more invasive operation while denying a less motion-sacrificing alternative for policy reasons rather than individualized medical judgment, patients lose. Insurance companies absolutely have a responsibility to control costs and prevent inappropriate care. But those policies should evolve with high-quality clinical evidence and allow physicians to exercise individualized medical judgment. Blanket policy restrictions that override the treating surgeon's expertise can delay optimal care and force patients into treatment pathways they may not have otherwise chosen. My frustration is not about a disagreement between physicians--that happens in medicine. It is about patients being caught between evidence-based clinical decision-making and rigid insurance policies. Patients deserve decisions driven first by medicine, not by checkboxes.

Because I no longer have accchs. They are able to bill accchs $677 for every visit, but now that I pay cash they only make $179 per visit. They forgot to send in my drug tests multiple times! I knew I'd report them to the state board and accchs months ago. I've been talking about all the sketchy shit to my mom and disabled friend for months. So I knew I was going to report them from the start. I am apart of the reason the fbi shut down a ton of sober living homes for human trafficking and double billing. I hate when people break the law and don't follow rules! I'm autistic it's hard to ignore. It's very easy to see when an accchs scam is happening and I felt it happening the second he gave me 10mg oxycodone without starting me on 5mg first. And then he kept letting my pee tests expire and not send to lab. Today the doctor says he is cutting me off pain meds because they don't feel comfortable prescribing them long term. I asked them if I broke the pain contract, they said no. I later get an email saying I'm permanently discharged because I broke The pain contract. They kicked me out of their practice because I am self pay. Discrimination. They're also not billing using correct address' and he's practicing in multiple states with multiple address. I talked to my pharmacist right away and told them everything I experienced and they told me YES this doctor is doing illegal shit. 1/26/26 they said I no longer need to do drug tests to receive my meds, that's illegal. My pharmacist is helping me with filing the report to accchs and the state board. Oh yeah he also gave me a 14 day supply of meds but wrote on the bottle it was a 7 day supply of meds. So I felt like he was trying to trick me or something. I'm not a drug addict so I use my meds properly and this little weird shit he did, did not affect me, I never took more than I was supposed to. But prescribing meds wrong on purpose is illegal as well, malpractice. I've been on prescribed controlled substances since I was 8 years old, I am well aware of how it all works. I've been permanently disabled for 12 years also. And then he tried to get me to do as many x rays as possible before my insurance cut off. He found scoliosis and then cancelled me as a patient immediately. Why would someone do that? He wouldn't even discuss my imagining he ordered. He made me pay $179 to get discharged today. So yeah I knew immediately the second he prescribed meds wrong and gave me 10mg oxycodone right away that he was crooked and I WAS FUCKING RIGHT!!!! If you ever feel weird at pain mgmt ask the pharmacist about it. They can definitely reassure you if you experienced something illegal. Other than that, while I was being prescribed oxycodone for a few months, the appointments were fast and scheduled normally. Just nothing the doctor ever did was normal. Letting my pee tests expire multiple times, writing wrong medication information. Accchs would only allow a 7 day RX and he gave me 14 days and put 7 days on the bottle, so that's called LYING. Lying about how much you're prescribing. All I see is red flags at this place.

He would play around with other staff members and was on the phone with his wife. Gossip about patients. He did so right out my room door stating he didn't want to enter my room. I was purposely last on his list. My morning medications were late. It was an hour and a half before he came to me. He was training a young lady who was in school to be a nurse. Mind you this is my 2nd day there. I reported him and the charge nurse spoke with him outside near my door. He spoke of untruths about me, saying I kept interrupting him. I asked for help. He was sitting outside my door not working on the computer just gossiping and flirting with other staff members. I am hearing all of this. I heard speak terribly about his cna, telling others she was coming on to him while he was outside my door to his wife. The charge nurse told him when I try to ask him something and the timing is good for him to excuse himself and tell me he must use the bathroom. Then they switched ky rooms down to the second floor. This was my 3rd time at banner and each time gets worse. In my own personal opinion, if you are hired for a job then do your job. If you don't have time right then say so. Yet, if you are not on a break and not helping another patient or staff member then you need to do your job. You should NEVER SPEAK ILL OF PATIENTS OUTSIDE THEIR DOOR. I had 6 kids and as my grandmother would say is I can hear a pin drop. Never again Banner never again. I am even gonna switch my cardiologist from banner to another doctor outside of banner. I was pretty happy with my communications to Sutter's staff. **Then @ 4:56pm another call from Sutter's office. It was SUTTER herself!!! That blew me away!! She explains that since she wanted to make sure she understood her staff's notes that she would call ME in between her in house office patients. That was a 21 minute extremely thorough conversation PLUS her information TO ME was exceptional! (And I had a telehealth visit on 7/24/2024 with SUTTER.) Sutter went beyond her call of duty making sure SHE UNDERSTOOD what she NEEDED for MY CARE!
