I didn't quite get the right amount of dill sauces, and they didn't put any napkins in the bag - something you think would be an automatic for wings! I dined at 557 Dixon Rd on June 11, 2024. The wait to be seated was a bit lengthy and waiting to be attended to was a bit long. But a young gentleman server who I noticed moving around busily came to my table and inquired if I had been attended to. He took my order and apologized for the wait. he served me my order and very pleasant and professional. He regularly checked to see if everything was OK even though he was tending to other tables. Service at this establishment as of late has been bad. It was Tuesday, meaning that you can get wings for half price. I ordered two pounds of wings. I chose honey garlic and sweet chili as my sauces. It came with fries. I also ordered a Diet Pepsi. I ate half my wings and packed the rest home when I finally got my order. I placed my order at around noon. Our server was jotting down everyone's names. I thought that things were getting better service-wise. Nope. So wrong. In our group, I was the last person to get my order. A fellow colleague came in later than I did (12:35 pm) and got her food first before everyone else! I was the last person to get my food, waiting for over an hour. I thought that I was going to die. We were at this location on April 4th (Husband's birthday) and what a disappointment. We waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring us to a table (it was 8pm on a Thursday... NOT busy at all!) The service just got worse from there. It took 2 (yes, TWO) hours to order and leave. We only ordered wings and a side caesar salad. Our waitress did not care to be there (we could tell by the zero f*cks she gave when we tried to get her attention a few times). We tried to wave down another waitress (who was also equally as rude) for extra dill sauce. Guess what... she kept walking by and didnt give a f*ck either! The table beside us was left filthy since before we arrived (they took the plates away after an hour or so but failed to wipe down the table), my glass of water was dirty, other tables were served before us but arrived afterwards,etc. I tip. Paired with $5.99 for a 23 ounce domestic pint draught beer and let the great Coors Light times begin! My friend had family to take care of so I'm dining solo seated at the bar. This location is in a weird cold strip mall on Dixon, a bit of a long drive off the road. The patio was big and sunny ... there were a few people catching some rays. It's a cavernous restaurant with lots of space. I sat in the bar area. I love their wings and have never ordered anything else. I got a pound of hot wings and fries along with a Diet Coke. You will eventually get your order if you are patient and ask (I never got my ginger ale until the food came out - which was 45 minutes after ordering). The waitresses never came back after we ordered - she also got our orders wrong (I ordered a ginger ale - she came out with an iced tea... we each ordered one pound instead of two - gave and charged us two pounds - just use a pen and paper, simple solutions...)! For a restaurant bigger than its average St. Louis, they should have more waitresses on the floor (especially on a Tuesday), but no, people seat themselves and go up to the bar for their own drinks. In Toronto for a week long event of National Darts. Tried this restaurant chain for the first time ever. The food was fast and great. The prices were decent and the atmosphere was good too. The best part though was The waitress, Devi. She might be the most pleasant and caring waitress I have ever seen. She was polite, engaging and we felt like we were the only people there because she spent such attention to our table. On day one we were there, she was flying solo and running the entire floor without issue. We enjoyed the experience so much, we went back again today and she gave us the same level of service. If management wants to model their staff and servers, they should recruit this pro to train others. Hands down, professional and very good at what she does. I went here recently because a friend wanted to watching skating (I know...) and the only place I could think of in the area that might play this was this specific st. Louis! I am an addict for their sauce...it's normally served with the fries but I literally dip everything edible into it. What made this visit a good one and made me a fan and probable repeat customer was the owner, jimmy! On entering it just happened that he was the person we flagged down. With the other sports activities on, we didn't want to take a tv that someone else might want to watch (and I was embarrassed I won't lie). Jimmy was awesome...he got us in an area where we could watch a specific tv, and because it was a relatively empty space he gave us freedom to pick the perfect viewing seats. He even gave us the tv remote to find the skating (we settled on football once my friend realized she had the wrong date). In staying there it was interesting to see Jimmy engage all the patrons as he did his rounds. I think my only real complaint was that it did seem either understaffed or because we were in a separate space they didn't frequent us as much to check in on us (the staff I mean). I often forget that even these franchises have owners who are working to make a living and make something of themselves. I am a firm believer that it is these entrepreneurs that will bring us put of a recessionary time period and was definitely proud and happy to see the owner so engaged on a Friday night, supporting his staff and appreciating his customers. I came here again in the spring and it just was not the same.. The dining room is so unattractive and not welcoming. Half of my food was cold and I did not enjoy it at all. My sister in-law got quesadillas but then when she turned them over they were extremely burnt. Obviously the chef knew he did something wrong because he turned them over.. We told the waitress and she was mad at US for some reason! We asked if we can get the quesadilla off the bill and she called us difficult? My friend and I went to this location today aug 6, 2020, waited at the entrance to be seated however the workers passed by with no acknowledgement of our presence; I have been to this location many times and was able to self seat myself multiple times. Today this location had very few guests, with available seating both on the patio and also indoor; my friend and I took it upon our self to seat our self since it seems like no one was working at the front and also because of the lack of acknowledgement from the staff in the restaurant. We took the precautions to walk in with our mask being mindful that there are COVID precautions, we sat down and observed that a staff member( I don't know her name so a description is necessary) she's brown-skinned seems she was of Indian descent of some short unsure of her heritage; she made sure to skip our table and acknowledge 4 tables around us talking loudly stating that are you guys okay; I know she was trying to make a point; so we waited patiently for someone else to acknowledge us. Finally, she came over speaking very loudly basically yelling asking us if we self seated our self, I said yes because we waited at the door for a while and No one acknowledges us even to let us know someone will be with us; she kept yelling and said that you need to wait to be seated, right after that unpleasant conversation a nice young lady that was seemingly shocked by her behaviour asked us for our names and number as a COVID precaution; but due to the very upsetting interacting with the previous employee we decided to leave; the crazy thing is that it did it end there, on the way out she sarcastically and loudly stated thank you and bye !! I was shocked by her behaviour she treats us like we were animals and not customers; I've been to these locations so many time's and have had good interactions... I eat Gabby's wings all the time and their really good. There are a few locations around Toronto and I would recommend the wings to anyone. Super tasty, warm, welcoming and great service. I thoroughly enjoy the "hotter than hell" wings at the 557 Dixon Road location. Usually visit up to three times a week. Not only is the food great, the service is impeccable. Devie, the manager, is welcoming, courteous and hospitable. She always make sure my orders are packed properly ( including napkins, condiments, wipes...) and the order is hot as soon as I arrive for pick up. We went here for dinner during Anime North weekend. Overall, their service was beyond horrible and the food was mediocre. I'm assuming that this restaurant doesn't usually get so many customers at once because it seemed like they were short on staff. We got seated by one girl but noone came to take our orders for 20 minutes. We raised our hands multiple times and every waitress that walked by looked at us but refused to say a single word to us. The least they could have done was to tell us that they were busy and that someone would get to us eventually. We had to physically approach two waitresses that were standing around a table chatting for them to take our order. It then took 30 minutes until our food came. The wings were hard, the ribs were small and not tender. The only thing I actually liked was the dill dip. I ordered a 3 course meal...they didn't give me my appetizer or dessert.
