One hundred percent of the proceeds from this store benefits the Angels of Hope Outreach Ministries, a Christian charity with the mission to end homelessness in the Treasure Coast. You can volunteer with them or donate items to this thrift store. The store generates money for the charity but it also offers lost cost items to the community. Some of the items I saw were socks, pantry food items, toys, new power banks for only $3, clothes, and home goods. Prices were inexpensive and the people working were very friendly. I love how this store is helping the community while helping others stretch their budget. Check them out if you are in the area.

They are striving to open a transitional facility that will give victims and survivors housing, counseling, therapy, education, financial aid, healthcare, and childcare. Rufs is located in the St. Lucie plaza. While this plaza has seen better days, don't let the shabby exterior deter you from visiting this gem of a thrift store. Inside is a boutique like interior with tons of clothes, accessories, small appliances, and household goods. Prices are deeply discounted and everything is attractively arranged. If you have a young lady in your life in need of a formal dress for prom or homecoming, this is the place to go. Gowns which still had their hundreds of dollars price tags were marked down to $50. Another item that caught my eye was a the perfect pair of high heels for Halloween. The couple who were working the store were friendly and sweet. Come out and support this great organization while updating your wardrobe and saving money all at the same time.

I was there today and purchased 7 items and just because one piece of clothing did not have a ticket label the clerk refused to sell it to me. I really wanted that particular item. I beg him to please sell it but he won't budge. It was not even my fault. It was theirs for not labeling item. I did not think it was fair. I don't think I would return to that particular store.

The gentleman who was working when I visited was friendly and welcoming. He offered to even show me things in the back that weren't on the sales floor. I had dun exploring the eclectic mix of reasonably priced items they had for sale which included china, wedding dresses, Le Creuset, and a bust of Abraham Lincoln. They sell furniture, household decor, clothes, accessories, and small appliances. Good Samaritan Ministries will happily accept your donations and there is a list on their website of items they are seeking. You can see them at work with the food pantry across the street. I love supporting non profits like this one who are positively impacting their communities.

Gulf Stream Goodwill has 27 retail locations, 2 outlets, and 41 donation centers. I discovered this Goodwill store while driving down Oslo Road in Vero Beach. It is located next to a Salvation Army thrift store for even more thrifting fun. This Goodwill has a ton of clothing for men, women, and children, accessories, furniture, home goods, toys, small appliances, books, and more, all at discounted prices. Everything is organized by type, color, and size so shopping is a breeze. Thrifting is enjoying a resurgence as a cool hobby. There are a ton of Instagram videos showing how you can have a business thrifting or how to style and transform thrifted items. A can of spray paint can give just about any item new life. I really enjoyed thrifting at this large, clean, and well organized Goodwill. Goodwill has even added new items to complete their thrift inventory. Not only can you find a unique bargain but you are repurposing items and keeping them out of the landfill while helping the community through your purchase at the same time.
