The entire school participated in acting like poor people. There was "food stamps" and we had to feed our "families to survive" There was little to no supervision. Kids were fighting. I was shoved against a wall and threatened. Children were hiding in the restrooms praying for safety. The small overcrowded hallways were packed with 6th-12th grade students. kids were thrown to the floors and there was violence everywhere. It was truly a horrifying day.

(4) The Learners (children) make up the rules for their studio; each studio is comprised of children of varying ages. There is a High School studio, a middle school studio, an elementary studio and a primary studio. (5) A child can go outside and play at any time as long as they have met their goal and at least one other child goes outside with them, WITHOUT adult/teacher supervision. There is a 6' wood fence to contain the child in the backyard. (6) If a child agrees to and engages in an act of play and subsequently gets hurt the school will not be held responsible. PLEASE, PLEASE GO TO THE OPEN HOUSE IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ENROLLING YOUR CHILD!

And I thought those were great... but that was before I'd been to Goldfish. My little tadpoles are finally in formal lessons, and we are so excited to get to start here. There is so much focus on safety, which is like 90% of what I care about in a swim situation. Small classes (just a few kids per instructor) and then a lifeguard standing sentry right at the end of the lane. Other supervisors were also nearby, and it was very easy to see where the money goes: the facility is state of the art and spotless, and there was so much staff both in and out of the water. My kids loved it and didn't want to leave, but they've even thought of that, with a fun little prize to take when you leave if you're cool about it. Add in family swim night, and I think this is a place we'll spend a lot of time and money, and feel mighty good about it.

One instructor is very good, gives you a report of how well she did and what she needs to work on. Another just nodded their head when I asked for feedback. I'm also taking my 2 year son to the mini 2 parent n me class. He is really struggling. Crying the entire time, very upset and difficult to participate in class. The instructor just carries on like she's just following the cue card she holds in her hand. She doesn't give any advice or suggestions on how to make him feel more comfortable in the water. It's a very stressful experience for both of us. At the ymca the instructors worked really hard to get my daughter comfortable in the water and provided lots of feedback on correct swimming technique. After these 30 days ( which is required at sign up) we won't be back.

I call myself checking in on my little one and I see him sitting on his bed with his pants and underwear down. I call Miss Beth and she tells me this crazy story basically blaming my son for leaving the bathroom after he had an accident which is so bizarre. The story didn't make any sense no matter how innocent she tried to make it sound. Once we're off the phone I decided to pick him up early. Conveniently when I got there, there is a different teacher in the classroom and Miss Beth was nowhere to be found. I tried to address my concerns, the story then changes and Kim self chimes in as if she was in the classroom. Kim gets loud and cuts me off while I'm speaking. The director never came out her office. Just pitiful. The point I was attempting to make is if I'm watching the live feed and other parents obviously have the same access I do .... I'm sure they saw what I saw. There's no reason my son's genital area should've been exposed and who knows for how long. Miss Beth said she couldn't find his extra clothes .. but you all wouldn't let me forget it upon him starting. I packed everything in a ziplock bag which was labeled. I'm sure his items would've been easier to find had the classroom been more organized and he had his own cubby like you said you would do on his very first day. It is pure chaos up in there.. I'm praying heavily for a change for the sake of those little babies still enrolled. I tried to let this matter go but I simply couldn't, I'm not sure what type of parent you all thought I was but anybody can get blessed behind what I birthed !
