Great place! I have two kids that attend this location. Overall, I've been pleased with this place. There was a time where staffing was an issue, but I can't blame them. I feel every place had staffing issues during and after COVID. When issues occur at the school, I felt they have been informative. Teacher have been great and my kiddos seem to like it there. They're always pretty eager to go to class and see their teachers. The teachers keep parents up to date and are welcoming when I drop off my kiddos. I don't often write reviews, because I'm just not good with them. However, I need to give this daycare a shout out. My family has high expectations for child care and when we moved to Oklahoma we were shocked at the quality of the care available. When we asked what they did with infants, they'd look at me like I was nuts because all babies needed were bottles and diaper changes. Most rooms were obscenely small and filled with bouncers that you could tell the teachers depended on heavily through out the day. Maybe we were spoiled where we came from, but we expected that our children get social interaction and deserved teachers who would play, teach and do projects with our children, even at the earliest age. We finally found that at Goddard. We have been at Goddard for 4.5 years and many of the staff and teachers are like family to us. My children have friends countless friends they've made over the years and have more experiences than I can count. Our oldest learned to play chess in chess club, both children have learned Spanish and take countless field trips during the summer. I continue to believe that Goddard is the best daycare in the area. read more

The Goddard School on Western Ave in Edmond has been instrumental in my daughter's love for learning and trying new things. She's been a student here for two years and we couldn't be happier with her development. At three years old she's learning to play chess, speak Spanish, and they include STEAM in their curriculum (which thrills this tech field Mama)! The administrative staff is not only professional, but they actually CARE about the children who attend and their families. Everyone knows each child by name and welcomes each student the minute they are buzzed into the building in the morning. Any concerns are always addressed immediately and with the utmost care. The teachers are all bright and loving. We receive photos of our daughter through out the day so any anxiety of how she's doing melts away (especially on mornings when she has a hard time at drop off - which are far and few between) and we receive a daily report at pickup. Let me first explain that I am a career educator (20years) with both an M.Ed and B.S. in Education. The "lens" with which I view schools, teachers and administration is much more critical and intensive than an average parent. Our Kindergarten son, (almost 7) attends Goddard as a part of the School Age program (provided during local school breaks, holidays and vacations) - which is a lifesaver, as a working parent! We started at Goddard for Pre-K, and after attending multiple other franchise schools (Primrose, LaPetite) as well as one of the most elite private college prep schools here in OKC, I can tell you I wish we would have started at Goddard YEARS ago! They have met and exceeded every expectation we've had for our son. He grew academically and socially so much in his Pre-K year here, and entered Kindergarten at a private school nearby, way ahead of his peers. Anytime I ever had an issue, concern, or need, the teachers or upper management team rallied around us and made our son their #1 priority. They accommodated for him and went above and beyond to help him succeed and grow. They leaned who he was as a person and student, and figured out what he needed exactly. We were never once made to feel like an inconvenience or issue. Other perks of Goddard: Inexpensive Parents Nights Out every month!! Weekend Social/special events (fall festival, Christmas party, spring party) multiple times throughout the year! Special classes during the day for kiddos (chess, Spanish, etc), and much more. The owners, Misty and Jerry, may be the greatest, most skilled and inspiring hands on owners that you'll ever find. We're equally fans of all the directors and teachers. This is an exemplar, best practice school and hands down the finest for early childhood education in Edmond. read more

The teachers are phenomenal, I trust them completely with my child and I would never take him anywhere else! They are true teachers, not just babysitters. They have lesson plans focused on age appropriate developmental skills. I can't say enough good things about goddard! The only con is the cost, but they are COMPLETELY worth the money. it's not that much higher than other well respected places...but the quality is second to none! Our kids positively LOVE this place. They're always eager to get there, and they never have a shortage of good things to tell me about their day when I pick them up. Every instructor we've had the pleasure of meeting has been wonderful, and the on-site owner (Misty) always brightens our day when we meet with her. She's like family to us! Just the other day, Josiah was telling me about the new friends that she made, and how much fun they had with the activities of the day. It brought tears to my eyes seeing her so thrilled. That's what it's all about! This place represents everything that you strive for when looking for the absolute best care for your child. It embodies excellence, and that is all that you could ever hope for. Lastly, I have to mention the parties, festivals, and programs that they put on. I honestly cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Goddard! All three of our children attend and we are raving fans. The education they receive is top notch (and fully prepares them for elementary) - where else do you get dedicated Spanish lessons on a daily basis from a certified bilingual instructor? Even more importantly (in my opinion) than the education is the care! They are not caregivers, their teachers are family!! They treat our kids with kindness, respect and love. Each child is treated as an individual, which is so important to me as a mom of twins! We have a child with SPD and the school when above and beyond to help supplement his OT with activities in the classroom to help him. I fully credit them with him being able to meet and exceed his OT goals and graduate from private therapy in less than a year. The owners and staff go above and beyond to create a sense of community and plan super fun family events! I love the movie nights, fall festival and family dances! I feel it's worth noting that the turnover is minimal - it says something about how well the staff is treated when they have a good number of employees who have been there for 5, 10 and more years!! If your child has any disabilities DO NOT send them here. My son attended this school from July 2014 until today. My son is on the autism spectrum and thrives on routine. During the last two weeks he has had several changes happen in his life at the same time (one of which being that his favorite teacher switched to a different classroom.) During these last two weeks he had several behavior issues due to him being upset and not being able to articulate his feelings. I am in no way excusing his behavior. Today, a parent expressed concern about her child sharing a classroom with my child. It boiled down to either my son being dismissed from the school or her unenrolling hers. My son was the one to be put out. Without warning. I was called at 5pm today (on a Wednesday evening) and asked to pick up my child and that he would not be allowed back. As a working parent, this leaves me in a huge bind. I am now forced to take time off work because I do not have any other childcare arrangements. My husband and I went into the office and spoke with Ms Tabitha and expressed frustration about there being no warning. She admitted that they typically have a plan of action on situations like this but since my son only had a week left there (he's starting pre-k) they decided to forgo that. Regardless of how much longer he had left at the school, he still had a right to have a plan of action as anybody else. If nothing else, it would have given me time to make childcare arrangements. read more
