The teachers are so attentive, class ratio is very small (5:1) and staff are so kind and loving that it feels like a family.

As a parent, I often felt that concerns raised with school administration, including Mrs. Monaco and Mrs. Tin, were not addressed in a constructive or supportive manner. In my opinion, communication with our family was frequently difficult, and I did not feel that our concerns regarding our children were given the attention they deserved. Rather than feeling like partners in our children's education, we often felt dismissed when legitimate concerns were brought forward. Over several years, we attended multiple meetings seeking assistance and resolution. We also met with our parish priest on three separate occasions. He was compassionate, understanding, and supportive of our son. Unfortunately, despite those meetings, we did not see meaningful improvements in the issues that prompted us to seek help. We made every effort to resolve concerns through the appropriate channels before reaching the point of sharing our experience publicly. Another major concern for our family was the academic preparation provided by the school. My daughter was an Honor Roll student throughout her time at St. John Baptist de La Salle, yet when it came time to prepare for high school entrance exams, she felt completely unprepared in math. We ultimately had to hire a private tutor to help her learn material that we believed should have been covered more thoroughly in the classroom. As a parent, it was frustrating to see an Honor Roll student struggle with entrance exam preparation despite years of private school tuition. In our experience, there was a significant gap between the grades students received and their actual readiness for more rigorous academic programs. Based on our experience and conversations with other families, I have concerns about whether students are being adequately prepared for competitive high school admissions. The final year was especially difficult. During a time when families were already dealing with serious concerns involving student safety and an ongoing investigation, the school's focus seemed to be on discipline rather than compassion. My son was required to serve a detention during Junior Olympics, one of the final graduation activities. Even after completing the detention, he was not allowed to participate in the remaining event and was forced to sit and watch while his classmates continued. Watching him be excluded from one of the last experiences of his middle school years was heartbreaking. In addition, despite repeated requests made both in person and through email, I was unable to obtain copies of my son's disciplinary records and student file. As a parent, I believe I should have access to information regarding my child's disciplinary history, especially when decisions affecting graduation activities were being made. A school should be a place where children feel supported, parents feel heard, and academics prepare students for future success. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. My hope is that the school, its administration, and the Archdiocese take a serious look at the concerns being raised by families and work toward improving transparency, communication, accountability, student support, and academic standards. After several difficult years, I am relieved that this chapter is behind us and that my family has moved on. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions as a parent of children who attended St. John Baptist de La Salle School. If I could give 0 stars I would

This was a direct and deliberate willful act of mercilessness of noncharity against another disabled Parishioner which goes against our faith.    Let me reiterate that I am capable of elevating this matter to the pertinent legal authorities if I don't get an apology or if this happens to me again or another parishioner in the future.

The families that attend Wise have similar values and goals for their children and bring diversity and warmth to the community with their cultural backgrounds. The administration has been extremely supportive during the pandemic, with a flexible and balanced approach to ensure as normal as possible of an elementary school experience for the kids. The head of school communicates with parents on a weekly basis to ensure transparency as well as to accept feedback from the community. Wise is a leader amongst other schools, tuned-in with the needs of like-minded families and operating from a place of reason. I know our children will leave Wise with a strong sense of self and confidence as kind young adults armed both academically and socially to handle whatever lies ahead.

It is where kids come to thrive and learn while having Judaism in their lives. You do not have to be Jewish to join the school all are welcomed! Pam Kleinman and Tami Wiser are the roots that ground this school and care so much for the children. They work so incredibly hard to make sure that all children are getting the best possible education! All the while teaching our children how to be good people in the world. I love this school and community and feel beyond blessed to be apart of it as do my children. We actually left for a short bit because I live next to a public school. We ran back as quickly as we could there is just no comparison to private school verses public on so many levels but the one I appreciate the most is my kids are thriving at Wise because the entire staff loves what they do from the front security to the lovely girls in the front office. This is a very special community and school where everyone is happy and living their best lives.

Yes, the preschool had some issues that were quickly resolved, which is what a responsible Temple board does. This is a wonderful, understanding and helpful Temple. The Rabbi is THE BEST! Due to a very poor staffing choice, the director Katrin facilitated the complete crumbling down of our beautiful community. 2 beloved and dedicated teachers were treated so badly they resigned and 15 families were pushed to the point of having no choice but to leave. The lack of communication and transparency with the parents, the new director having absolutely no vision for the preschool and genuine safety issues such as our children being kept with people they don't know, being lied to on multiple occasions, allergies of a child being completely disregarded... the ELC became a place we had to leave. We tried everything we could to alert the leadership and board to these issues with no avail. Unfortunately for 15 families and two teachers time ran out and we are now grasping to find where to send our children mid year. This community failed us. If Katrin is the director at this school, please evaluate your decision very closely before even touring. Ask the office for the information of past families so we can provide more detail if needed. I wish the temple no harm- this is directly about the ELC. it is my duty to inform other parents of young children of this dangerous individual who dismantled our community.

I heard that it was a large and thriving school before the pandemic and it is now growing, but organically. But currently, the classroom size is about 6 or 8 kids in my son's class, it has room to grow. The timbre of the theory of the school is to develop the child with wonder, curiosity, desire, and the confidence to learn and create, and then they could pursue the facts to learn. In this world of technology changing everything exponentially, some educators wonder if they should drill the children with facts and figures when computers will be providing all of that. These educators seem to think that the children who will succeed in the future are those who think and create. My son likes this school. He was recently diagnosed with ADHD, and the instructors are continuously learning and growing to work with him. And the biggest thing they seem to be teaching are social skills. This school currently runs from pre-k to 5th, and they are in talks about going up to 6th grade.
