Large variety of furniture very nice definitely go back Naples is beautiful. Saint Matthew's house has a few locations definitely a must.

I recently visited the 1115 Airport Rd South Naples location of St. Matthew's House. There is another Naples location at the boutique flagship store at 2601 Airport Road South. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in the door. St. Matthews had two large rooms. The first room had furniture, appliances, sports equipment (they had a ton of golf clubs out front), and household goods. The second room was filled with clothing and accessories. Everything is in great condition and set up in inviting displays. St. Matthew's House began in 1987 when a group of Naples church members calling themselves the Homeless Task Force started bringing food to a homeless group living in a nearby wooded area. They started out by gathering food and clothing to help people and today have grown into a large ministry helping thousands of people in the Naples community each year. Operating expenses are covered by their businesses and one hundred percent of public donations goes directly into helping those who need it the most. This ministry takes it's name from bible verse Matthew 25: 35-36, 40 "For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." St Matthew's provides programs to help people transition from homelessness to self sufficiency. The Immokalee Friendship House provides shelter to the homeless and over 25,000 meals a year. Justin's Place Feeding Ministry has been serving meals to the hungry for 25 years and more than 20,000 meals are served each year. Wolfe Apartments offers transitional housing to male clients of the Justin's Place Recovery Program which helps men and women fight drug and alcohol abuse. Programs are funded by proceeds from thrift stores located in Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, and Immokalee. So I am always amazed when people complain about the prices because St Matt's has high end merchandise many with the tags, barely worn. If I go to some of the other "cheaper" thrift stores, it's nasty garage sale merchandise and guess the bodily fluid stain on each garment you look at...No thanks, if I need a Hazmat suit to look at merchandise , maybe that's why it's cheap. And St Matt's helps people in this community get sober and off drugs and get a chance at a great life. So I am good with spending a little more to make that happen. I have met people who's lives have been changed because St Matt's was willing to invest in them and give them hope...great merchandise, a mission to help the most vulnerable in our community , and I get to be a small part of the change with my loyalty in purchasing only at St Matthew thrift stores..Works for me. read more

Wow, how wonderful it is to shop while listening to Christian Music! Everyone that works here is so sweet and helpful, it seems like they have a prayer service before the store opens. I was in the thrift store this morning and I brought a garment up to the front desk to question their outlandish pricing and a employee stated out loud to the staff and who ever would hear him in the store that " I can shop somewhere else" and who was standing right next to the employee but the manager, who stood there and said and did nothing!! As a matter fact, when I brought it up to the manager how unprofessional that employee was she asked me to keep my voice down!! Horrible pricing! Horrible customer service!! Horrible management!! Always a great choice for many home decorating, art and furnishings. You have to go early as the inventory flies out of there. It's a true charity that does good work in the community. My fave thrift store. This is the one near Estey Ave., NOT the big pricy one by Home Depot. Found several pieces of furniture that I could redo. Prices aren't too bad, but the lady that runs the place isn't very personable. She seems annoyed every time I try to discuss prices. read more

I found all sorts of treasures there. My best find was a $25 Fendi purse that was selling on eBay for $200. They have a lot of really nice looking stuff, some were even brand-new. It's a great place to go for work clothes and maybe get lucky and find some really nicely priced designer items. read more

You will be surprised at the high quality furniture you can find at St. Matthew's Thrift Store on Old 41 in Bonita Springs. All proceeds go to benefit a homeless shelter and programs in Naples. This is a nice place with friendly staff. The store is very neat and well-organized. However, I found the sterling silver to be pricey. On the other hand, some bargains can be found for other items perhaps. It is definitely one of the better and more popular thrift shops in Collier County. read more

Used to be the funnest and best thrift store in town by far and they kept one upscale/designer store and one wide-ranging lower-end store, with pricing to match. You could choose which you were in the mood for, or hit both. However, this summer, the $3 per item pricing at the lower-end store went to a complicated color-tag multi-pricing that took all of the fun out of hunting for bargains there. PLEASE go back to the $3/item pricing and if you want more for other items, send them down to the store nearer the courthouse. I want my wonderful old St. Matts back! I want to come back with my friends for a bit of digging around! I'd give the old St. Matts system FIVE STARS for sure because I always discovered great things at both. read more

The Naples store is great. Good selection, high quality, and good prices. Always worth stopping in. Clothes and high end furniture, if you know your high end names, you can get a great deal. (If you give this place bad ratings for prices,like the one person did, then they have no idea of the quality they are buying. Most of my furniture came from stores like these, you have to know your brand names. I live in a multi-million dollar home, so these aren't just for the needy buying. I buy and donate.) read more

We understand it's faith based, but the music is obsessive. Goal and mission have become very corporate and overpriced. Few bargains.

On my way from work I decided to stop at this thrift store to look for some blouses and summer dresses. While they do have the usual $5 and $10 items I also saw $250 (Chloe) dress and $140 (YSL) as well as $170 blouses. Not believing my eyes I had to ask the sales associate if the price tag is correct. It was. When I said that it is a thrift store and NOT consignment store all they could say is that the items are good brands and "you know this is an upscale area". Makes me question who exactly is it they are trying to help. I think that their pricing of high end items is immoral. As church organization they probably get tax breaks and free (donated) merchandise. The lady that donated the high end clothing donated it because: A. She did not care about selling it through consignment store. B. Perhaps wanted low income women or fresh out of college girls to have a chance to own some nice quality clothing suitable for work. One plus of this store is the selection and quality of furniture. read more
