They place dozen of players a year into college. The football program has a winning tradition and is always in the state championship. The basketball team is always winning as well. The principal and director are really nice and super helpful. They help the kids with applying for college, their financial aid, and take the kids on college visits. The school doesn't have the biggest campus or s ton of pretty facilities but they do much more than many school that do have the assets. They are a cornerstone of the community.

The worker who accused me discussed nasty topics without confirming if I'm 18+ or not and without my parent's permission, and I was separated from my parent WITHOUT their permission (it's not only creepy but also illegal). And even worse, the person who falsly accused me of being a shooter is the elder woman in charge of the church. That doesn't sound like a professional way to act when your in a position like that, you are supposed to have common sence and think before you act. She deserves to be fined or jailed for the offence. I am going to make this clear, I will not tolerate being falsly accused of being a shooter or any other sick and twisted lies that you come up with Believe me, Do Not come to this church. This church is not a safe place

This might be the worst school in the archdiocese. They preach about God and his values, but they can't even set a proper example. The teachers are childish and don't know how to teach children properly; they often act out and lose their temper when a child needs help. It seems like most of the teachers enjoy seeing kids struggle and get in trouble. They give unreasonable punishments, and spending time at this school actually strengthened my relationship with God and my goal of getting into Heaven, because I experienced hell on earth. They also threaten to kick you out if you don't/can't show up to school events. Do not send your child here if you actually care about their well-being.

Parking is conveniently across the street and everyone is always very nice. Inside the ceilings are very high and overall very aesthetically pleasing. Let me precede this by saying that I like all churches. Really I do. But as a regular churchgoer,…read moreI have my favorites, and I do believe that some churches are "gooder" than others. I would say that the strength of this particular parish is, as the other reviewers have already mentioned, the sense of community. It's located in the Roads, which has many single-family homes. A lot of people grew up around there going to Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul, and now their kids go to school there, too. I only know this because I've done the Emmaus Retreat with this parish, and it was very apparent that the sense of a close-knit community was there. That being said, I did not grow up in Miami and come to this church as an outsider. Yes, I'm that girl who goes to the 11 AM alone and looks around awkwardly during "make peace" time to find someone to shake hands with. (I always have to wait until after the parents kiss their kids.) Anyway, some observations about this holy place: it's a very casual church, probably the most casual I've ever been to. People come in casual wear, even the lectors and Eucharistic ministers sometimes. When the lectors make reading mistakes, no one minds. The pews get kind of loud when the congregation stands up, sits, or kneels down. Regarding the choir, I usually go to the 11 AM one (English) so that's when the kids sing. I personally prefer an adult choir, but I have no choice on that one. All in all, I don't mind coming here especially since it's close to my place. I can't say it's one of my faves though. By the way, Father Sanchez the pastor is a really nice man. If you're wondering, yes, I have confessed to him before, and he's super not intimidating!
