Captain Kenny is the best! My husband and I had so much fun we ended up doing a second trip at sunset the day after our afternoon trip. Kenny had all the best spots to catch different kinds of fish. We caught Jackfish, grouper, Snook, Ladyfish, Catfish, Sailcatfish, Red Snapper, Mackerel, probably others but that's just what I remember. I liked that Kenny did all the dirty work for me by baiting my hook and unhooking the fish we caught. When we were cruising to the different spots, Kenny had good music for us to listen to and took requests as well. After our trip Kenny filleted the fish for us to take home. My husband made grouper nuggets cooked using Kenny's recommendation and they were delicious and so so fresh! I would absolutely recommend using St Pete Beach Charters the next time you are looking to go out on a fishing trip. Kenny had everything you need and was fun, courteous, and knowledgeable. You can really tell he loves what he does and genuinely wants you to have fun and catch fish. We already are planning on another trip (8 hours this time) the next time we are in St. Petersburg! read more

We had a great day on the boat with Captain Kenny. Three adults and two kids were on the morning 4 hour trip. We started by getting our bait fish. The first fishing stop was the best of the day. It seemed as though two people at a time had fish on for 40 minutes straight. Captain Kenny would re-bait the hooks and take the fish off. He would let us know the different fish we were catching and if they were ones we should keep. The rest of the trip was somewhat sporadic with the catches but we had a blast nonetheless. At the end Of the trip we docked and were shuttled to the cleaning station. Kenny cleaned the keepers and sent us home with a feast. It was a fantastic experience. Captain Kenny showed great patience with my 5 year old thousand question a minute son. read more

Capt Kenny put us on a wide variety of fish in bad weather, i.e. cold, windy, and cloudy water. Despite less than ideal weather conditions, we caught 8-9 different species of fish including grouper, snook, red fish, black drum, sheepshead, jack, snapper, etc. I can only imagine what we would have caught if the weather would have cooperated. Rarely was there a dull moment. He will cater to your needs, whether its seeking big game fish or making sure you have a cooler full of fish to take home. He will adjust your tackle depending on your skill level and is just as excited as you are when you hook up. Would definitely recommend! read more

My husband and I were here visiting for our honeymoon & love to charter fishing boats when visiting. We contacted Kenny who immediately agreed to take us out the next morning. Kenny knew all of the best spots in the area to take us! We caught 3 red fish, a snook, 2 trout, a black drum, a keeper sheep's head (among others) AND A GROUPER! We are going to be eating fish for days! Kenny cleaned all of the fish for us and gave us some great local spots to have them cooked (we are writing this from one right now sipping on a cold beer). i went on a morning charter with st pete beach charters about 2 weeks ago. it was a perfect way to cap off a several day fishing trip in indian rocks beach. capt. kenny was a fantastic guide; patient, helpful, and very skilled at putting us on the fish. in the hours we had alotted, we must've fished 5 distinct locations, each one bringing in different sizes and species. the boat itself was a marvel: a pristine flats boat, very comfortable, clean, and spacious. i was amazed at the places kenny could get us into with the shallow draft of this very stable boat. there were four of us fishing and it felt very roomy. probably the highlight of the day was when all four of us hooked into some big jack crevalles simultaneously! overall, if you are interested in catching plenty of fish with a very knowledgeable, low key, and fun guide who will put you in lots of really interesting inshore locations, you can't go wrong with capt. kenny and st pete beach charters. read more

We had a great family fishing day and caught lots of fish: mackeral, snapper, trout, pin fish, skip jack, ladyfish and blue runner. We also saw dolphins and sunken sail boats. I had a 2 hour charter from 4:30 - 6:30pm on a Friday. The captain was very nice but that is where it ends. I'm sure people have had a great experience with this charter boat but I will share my experience. The cooler that he said we could use for our drinks had no ice left from the day. Far from a tragedy. We made it to the first fishing location right near a bridge. A dolphin was patrolling the area so the fish scattered. Some guy drove up to the same bridge in a truck and caught a small fish in one minute. No boat needed. We caught nothing. Please note that I have fished my whole life from small fish to Marlin. The only bait on the boat was a few dead shrimp. Unfortunately they were gone the first hour. I wish I took a picture of the bait because that would have said it all. The captain started fishing for more bait while we waited. By the time we got to a different location and the captain caught 2 small fish for bait it was time to go home. My son had one bite and I watched as no bait was left. I was charged $350.00. When you go fishing you are never guarantee that you will catch a fish. This statement has more truth to it when you don't even have bait. I posting this because all the reviews were very good for this charter and my experience was a disappointment for me and my son. Call the other charters or confirm that he will have bait on the boat when he leaves the dock. read more

He truly was excited when you had a big fish on. 4 hour charter and took us to 6-7 different locations. Will definitely book again. read more

Wow!!!! Had an amazing time with our young family of four. Captain Kenny was attentive to our 3 and 5 year olds and kept them entertained while keeping our lines baited and hooked. Had a great time on the water even during a cold front that kept the fish less likely to bite than usual. Took home a great catch of trout and a jack.
