I don't know what units these other reviews come from, but I rented 2108 and it was awesome. The condo has a great view of the beach, while the dunes provide some privacy as well. This place is right on the water. The unit was clean and comfortable. My girlfriend and I would just crack the door to listen to the ocean at night. We didn't need the extra bedrooms, but I imagine it would be a nice for families. There's a full kitchen so we just brought food, but there are a handful of restaurants within driving distance, and at least one that's walkable. We booked through Treasure Realty's website. There's no doubt in my mind that I'll be coming back to this unit again. Highly recommended. read more

We rented unit #1109 to attend my nephew's wedding at the St. Regis resort. As soon as we walked in we noticed the fans mounted on the walls, four in total, were all caked with dust that it looked like they have NEVER been cleaned. The unit is very dated and more importantly was not cleaned! The bed and pillows were stained, washer and dryer dirty and filled with lint. Main area rug was very dirty and looked like it never was replaced, hair on bathroom floor. We never were without shoes the entire time. Furniture dated, nicked and unmatched. There was dried milk on the back of one of the dining room chairs, never cleaned. We put a sheet on the couch to sit. Knobs on drawers were missing, countertops made of Formica falling apart, all the trim throughout the unit was nicked and peeling with rust marks. The balcony chairs were rust rotted. How much does it cost to buy a couple gallons of paint to fix up the place and update it every so often?? Bathroom had piles of hair in corners. Kitchen has very dated appliances, crack on microwave door. My wife and mother cleaned the whole place with sanitizing wipes. It took them hours to clean! Refrigerator inside needed cleaned. The glass doors were not cleaned at all! The couch on the patio was filthy, couldn't sit on it! The smoke detector is missing a cover, not sure if it worked light was red. Do the owners even care or know they have a disaster?! Pictures are obviously a bad representation of this place. I wanted to leave as soon as we arrived but we had nowhere else to go after driving 12 hours to get there. We had a wedding to attend the next day. Front desk and management team suggested that we got the dated room price. Didn't realize there were prices for dated rooms verses updated rooms. Ron, from One Luxury, was not very nice on the phone because we complained about the unit. He basically yelled at me telling me we'd get our money back if we left right now. Where do we go after a 12 hour drive with my 85 year old mom. Very disappointed of how he treated us. Please believe me, we are not people with high expectations! We just wanted a clean and nice place with updated furnishings that were clean. Never rent unit 1109, in building one. You will be highly disappointed! read more

Constant high pitched noise in Unit 2110. Noise present in entire building #2 and HOA and Carolina Rentals are aware of it. They said water would have to be shut off for entire building for 5-6 weeks to fix this issue. Noise kept us awake at night and was disturbing during the day. Neither a refund nor a move to another condo unit in another building were possible. This is unacceptable and we would not recommend St. Regis. read more

Not super impressed. First of all, in December of 2024, we booked rooms for July, 2025. We booked early because we needed two condos with 2 bedrooms and one condo with 3 bedrooms. We researched and found three acceptable condos in the same building and booked. Come May of 2025, they called to tell us they the owner of our 3 bedroom condo was going to lock their Master bedroom and only two rooms would be available. Since this would not work for us, they had to move us to a whole different building away from the rest of our family. Upon arrival, the code we were given would not work. When we notified the front desk they were fairly rude and said it must be "user error". When the employee huffed up the stairs to try it herself, it didn't work for her either! She had to reset it from the front desk. While the condo we stayed in was fairly nice, the common areas left a lot to be desired. Needed some serious up keep. read more

Cons: Cold fries, Shrimp Scampi with old shrimp and no garlic butter sauce, Cold green beans, and actually everything 13 of us tried was pretty inedible. Rude service. We have stayed at this resort many times and love Topsail. Far better choices for dinner than this place. Hint: Drive over the bridge, turn left at Ricks. You even get hot food there. read more

I wonder who built this complex in the mid 1980s and why. It definitely made the town forbid anything else like it. The place has gone through ups and downs over the years. Now it is basically a rental/condo situation even though I believe it was originally built as a regular hotel! I sometimes stay nearby and go look at it. It seems busier than ever in recent years, even though the beach in north Topsail is eroding. There used to be shops in the parking area, but not anymore. I think the high-up restaurant keeps trying to go under new names every year. One swimming pool is entirely closed, but the other one is in good shape and they have good boardwalks over to the ocean. read more

Overall the St. Regis Resort is a nice place to stay if you really just like the beach and relaxing. It's a nice resort, but all of the photos they show really make it seem bigger than it is. The two pools are kind of small (mostly the indoor one) and the game room has only about 6 games in it which include a claw machine, pool, air hockey, DK, pinball, and a stacking game where the grand prize is a rubix cube. The view of the beach is really pretty, though and it's not a very far walk to get to the sand. There were also a few lightbulbs that were burnt out and they brought more to our room very quickly, the staff is also very nice. If you're planning on being on your phone or on the internet at all -- don't. It's pretty much impossible. The WiFi is very bad. And there's barely any service. You could be watching a YouTube video fine for 30 Seconds and then it'll freeze and buffer for 5 minutes and you just give up because it's taking too long. Also, my sisters got stuck in one of the elevators so we ended up using the stairs most of the trip but that was mostly for us to feel healthier and in shape, haha. (We were in the 3rd building 2nd floor) There aren't too many fun places close by that we saw. There is a little park near the beginning of the road that has an ice cream shop (Bada Bing) which is very good, and then a few restaurants, beach shops, and a food lion not too far of a drive from that. But if you want to drive about half an hour to get to surf city they have a few nice places there. Stayed here in January and would definitely come back. I travel extensively for my job and understand that "hotels" or places like St Regis are susceptible to all kinds of things due to the sheer volume of people coming through. My experience here was good. The on-site restaurant was surprisingly good and a good value. The firecracker shrimp was good and very fresh, as was the fried seafood platter (shrimp and flounder). Some of the fixtures in the units are dated but if I'm here in the summer then I'm outside and don't care so much about older cabinets. I imagine the summer is very crowded, as one would expect in any hotel. The sand was still white and powdery. Our unit was clean and well-appointed. I've seen other units that were not as nice and I would not stay in. Make sure you review the pictures and compare multiple units! The immediate area is not commercialized at all, which is great for a getaway! ...and the sunrise is INSANE! read more

The condos seem to vary greatly in quality. Ours (#2310) didn't look like it had been updated since the 80's except for some sloppy paint. The kitchen was terrible. If you like peace and quiet, make sure you don't have a unit facing the pool, as they play music from 9am to 10 pm, and the lights are on bright all night. The pool itself is nice, albeit not heated so off season it's probably a bit chilly. When we visited, one of the beach access stairs was damaged and unusable. The beach itself is nice but you can see it is getting eroded away when you compare to pictures on the website which must have been taken at least a decade ago. Overall, it's a ageing facility that is just barely being kept up enough to be viable. read more

We went to St. Regis at the end of August. We stayed in room 2611. It is on the 6th (Top) floor. We had never been to Topsail Beach before. We usually go to North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Pros: Quiet Low traffic Lots of shells on the beach for kids. Beautiful beach Nice outdoor pool Good parking Views were awesome from the balconies. Every room has good views except the 1st level is blocked by sand dunes. Cons: Tile floors in this particular room...when getting into bed you drag sand with you. I would prefer to have carpet, at least in the bedroom. Restaurant above. In this unit the restaurant pantry or storage room is right above the Master bedroom. So about 11pm you may hear some carts rolling and such. It isn't too bad. Just occasional rattling and the like. Poor wifi. Inside the condo, outside the condo. No matter where, the wifi is terrible. Eating out: We did not eat out while in Topsail. We eat out too much when home. So we wanted to change it up. We have a 4 year old and an 18 month old so eating in the room saved us time and maximized our fun time. It is one reason we wanted to try Topsail Beach this year. We wanted to slow down. Relax. Enjoy our kids. We liked the St. Regis and may come back next year. read more

This place has gone WAAAAYYYYY down! Indoor pool is barely ever cleaned and the chemicals are never what they should be. The pool is dirty, scum is all over tiles and bottom is in desperate need of a vacuum. The hot tub works here and there and the dome is in bad need of repair. In the summer it is unhealthy hot in the dome. There is standing water all over and lord help you if it rains. You have to walk through a 6" pool of standing gross water to get into the pool. Mildew everywhere. This place has gone so far down hill its not worth the price to stay anymore. We have been staying there for 10yrs and will not return after this year's stay. Parking is non-existant under the facilty as they dont enforce parking so people who are not staying scoop it up to use the beach. They have blocked off 50% of the under parking for no reason. People who dont stay here use the beach and the hotel even though they are not supposed to. More and more party people coming in and when you have a family its tough for the kids to sleep with all that going on around you. We couldnt even keep our windows/doors open to enjoy the ocean as people smoking on balconies and it just made our place smell. The internet (the newer one also) is very slow. the newer booster seems to not knock you off as much but It took 4 minutes to load my email. Our most recent stay was before the summer craziness, and it was still bad. The people bringing dogs onto the beach, letting them poop and just putting sand over it, the smoking and the butts being trown on the beach, people bringing their music boxes where you do not have the peace you are looking for, etc. The place is being used by everyone now, where it used to be more exclusive and not used as a general population beach access. The HOA doesnt care, as I called a couple of times and went in to let them know and they shrugged me off. The building is in pretty bad upkeep, the new restaurant is in the old space that is falling apart. The food is pretty good for a 'shrimp shack' type of place. As I said, we have been staying here for 10yrs (multiple times a year), it used to be a very good place to go, nice family atmosphere, quiet, no rif raf, but you are getting more and more lower rentals just to fill the space, and this is reflected in the facility and its upkeep. I dont want a 'Ocean City' or NY/NJ type of beach, which is why we drive 6+hrs to NTB. At one point we were looking into buying a unit, but have since stopped as we dont want to own in a place on the way down. We will not be returning. read more

We are staying at the St. Regis Resort (3 buildings of condos) this week (which by the way, September is a lovely time to go to the beach). If I were just rating the proximity to a beautiful beach I'd give it 5 stars, but I feel the St Regis has fallen a little short in a few areas. My kids were so excited about them having an indoor pool, however it seems like it just hasn't been kept up as well as it should have. There are very few chairs inside and it just seems a little mildewy on the inside of the dome covering it. The outdoor pool was nice. I didn't check out the exercise room, but it is nice that they have one (with a treadmill, elliptical, free weights and a few other exercise machines). There is 1 restaurant downstairs (Millie's-but we didn't eat there other than getting some ice cream there one night, so I can't comment on the food). A huge disappointment has been the internet here. I'm fortunate I found a spot that the WiFi is staying connected long enough for me to write this review. There is 1 tennis court that is fairly well kept up. There are some grills available next to the indoor pool dome for public use, but that's a little bit of a drag to have to bring all your cooking stuff with you. We have not used the kids playground area b/c it is missing a few swings and it leaves much to be desired. :( I see a lot of people with dogs on the beach but the St. Regis isn't a pet friendly resort, so our doggie is home, another bummer. It is super easy to get to the beach, but don't bother renting a beach cart b/c you have to schlep it up and down the stairs over the dunes, to the beach. I love our unit that we're staying in b/c of all the balconies from each room, overlooking the ocean, with unobstructed views. It has been perfect for sunrises, sunsets, and opening up the door at night to sleep to the ocean sounds. North Topsail is a really nice quiet beach overall, but the nearest grocery store (Food Lion) is about 7 miles away. There are a few restaurants in the area that are decent, though it is a lot of fried food. If you can bring your own WiFi and all your own food, you'll have a great time here. read more

St. Regis Resort on Topsail Island is hands down our family's favorite vacation spot. We love the location on the beach, the outdoor and indoor pools, and the nicely furnished condos. #2309 is our favorite with a gorgeous beach/ocean view. Topsail Island is very laid back and chill which we love. You can also head to Sneads Ferry, Surf City, Jacksonville, or Wilmington for groceries, restaurants, movie theatres, shopping, mini golf, etc. We have never been disappointed so will return again and again. read more

Honestly, the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of the wifi. It's junk, reminds me of AOL dial up from 20 years ago. May seem petty, but with kids in tow it's important to have ability to steam video & games on demand and we really couldn't. Also, around 4pm every day the buildings cast a shadow over the entire outdoor pool area. I would love the pool to be in the sun all day to enjoy! Aside from those 2 negatives, it was great! They even have restaurant, ice cream shop & arcade on site which is convenient. Our room was very clean & nicely updated. Balcony had nice seating and of course a killer ocean view which is key. I was very pleased with the St. Regis Resort. It is a resort that consists of three buildings of condos. There is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a restaurant, an area to play volleyball and grills on the grounds. The outdoor pool is very nice. There is a concession that opens in the afternoon to serve snacks and snow cones. We stayed in 1413 on the 4th floor of the first building. There is a balcony that overlooks the ocean. The condo was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The Wifi worked well. We would definitely stay here again! The only downside is that the location is removed from most of the restaurants and shops. It is about a 25 minute drive from Surf City, which is where most of the shops and restaurants are. However, it is a perfect location for enjoying the beach! **This resort is not pet friendly. read more

Been to Topsail a few times but first time at St. Regis. Stayed in building 2 on the 5th floor in a very lovely unit. BUT, the 7th floor is a wedding reception venue. On the Friday before leaving a reception was held. The band began at 7. The music was so loud you could hardly hear in the condo. Called the restaurant at 11:00 to ask when reception would be over and was told midnight. Oh, we had an 18 month old trying to get to sleep. Music continued until 1:15 am. 6 hours of pounding music and a crying child. Unless the St. Regis HOA apply some noise restrictions I would never stay in Building 2 again. I after booking a condo to stay in October 2018 was shocked and appalled that such a reviews was even allowed by the "St Regis Resort, NC" without taking proper legal action against the accusers since we talk here about a very serious insect pest problem much worse than even ""Fleas, Mosquito's (Different type of Malaria's)"" or devastating disease problems caused by them through blood contact and spread !! If bugs are found and need to be collected as evidence then identify as # one the condo # , which building and floor, best is to put them in a vial or jar with clear 100% alcohol or if handy formaldehyde you can buy !! Give one jar to the manager (ask for his name address and record it ) save the other jar for evidence in addition to video from the bug bites and hand to Health Department and Department of Agriculture , if necessary if hurt by bugs the Police !! I communicated with the owner of the condo I will occupy in October and with such a sneeze despicable open ended none scientific review by apparently a traveler who had a lousy time staying only a couple of days to make it so ugly for all the other vacationers by Yelp is pathetic, I will now have to check with the Management of the St Regis before I will check in and occupy this rental in October, that is what Yelp accomplished by spreading such ugly apparent rumors without checking its legitimacy !! The owner I rent from would never have allowed to have bed bugs in her condo, if so they definitely rented to the wrong guy who is a expert in Entomology , so those reviews listed here was from persons with a real nasty crutch, who apparently had a lousy a bug crossing their liver for the time staying at this great resort and actually should have been identified and the suit by the St Regis Resort, NC !! This may relate to some local resort competition rental businesses who invented those ugly bed bug pictures and stories since bed bugs are definitely against the health code and a ""Horrific Pest Globally"" even to me as a Entomologist (Insect Specialist) since no one wants to bring those bed bugs back home, they need a lot of repeated exterminating !! To tell the complexity of treatment, they need to be treated repeatedly to get the different stages and then need to be inspected repeatedly to make sure they are eliminated in a large 3 building condo complex like the St Regis they are very hard to remove, worse than roaches unless fumigated with ""Methyl Bromide"" or equivalent toxic gases to get rid of this nasty ugly problem, spotted spraying all one will not do it !! Bed bugs otherwise spread from one condo to the next by means of hitchhiking or be carried on clothes etc., until finally a bed bug epidemic forces the whole buildings to be infested and all need to be fumigated to make sure they are gone which is for such a large complex a very expensive proposition unless they have a resident Entomologist who overseas a proper eradication which includes a periodic follow up inspection by the Health and Agriculture Department of NC to make sure they are all totally mitigated and no more threat to the public !! My advice as a Entomologist if to re examine carefully what those guy's states from their reviews about this ""St Regis Resort"" and immediately find out by inspecting this whole building in which unit or units they stayed call the Heath and Department of Agriculture examining all the public and common areas those bugs will spread and are very residual pest !! Fumigation is the best remedy since they also hitchhike back to the home of the vacationer who stayed who there to then faces a fumigation process by " Proper Licensed Pest Control Experts " or the "Department of Health and Agriculture" which most likely will cost a pretty penny or two :-) !! Bad news if this ugly rumor is true, since they The St Regis Management never informed apparently the health or the NC Department of Agriculture I assume is in Raleigh, NC or Durham etc., to enforce the Health and or Agricultural Codes to eliminate such a pests the right way and to avoid causing additional health hazards to the future guests who will rent condos at the St Regis and face the thread of contamination !! read more

My husband and I travel widely and frequently, and we've never had an issue like we had at the St. Regis. We arrived to find both elevators broken (no one at the front desk told us there was a third freight elevator available to us). I had to haul all of our stuff up five flights of stairs to our condo. It took four trips. When we got into Unit #2506, nothing had been cleaned. There was fecal matter, urine and pubic hairs on the commode, toothpaste spatters all over the mirror, and thick mold on the shower curtains. I called the owner who was sympathetic and helpful, and assured us the condo would be cleaned. Supposedly, the elevator was fixed, and my husband went up to the 7th floor restaurant with two other guys, but it stopped several times, then dropped between the 6th and 7th floor. (The owner claimed later that no such thing had happened according to a computer-generated record of the hydraulics.) The next day, she sent someone to clean the condo while we were at the beach. When we returned, my wedding band and silver necklace were gone. Again, I called the owner and she said that the cleaning team was bonded and that she'd never had any problems before. She clearly did not believe me. (This was the most infuriating thing.) The next morning, the water in the entire complex went out due to some break in the water line on the street. At this point, we were DONE. We filed a police report for the theft, packed the car after having only stayed two nights of a 7-night stay. The owner will not answer my phone or reply to my email, so we were screwed out of our rental costs. Word to the wise: Do not rent at St. Regis. read more

This is probably the most disgusting place I have ever been. I have came to this resort for a family reunion of 40 for one week. I have been here for 3 nights and woke up covered in bed bug bites the second night. I had went to the front desk in the second building to encounter this woman Cathy. This woman was extremely disrespectful, rude, condescending and no idea what customer service is. She did have an exterminator come who only sprayed the two beds that were infested and room when I was staying in a three bedroom condo on the 6th floor, 2609 to be exact. I was assured that we would be compensated for this horrific event. Only to have the woman Cathy to roll her eyes at me and ask me what I wanted her to do and have he owners completely ignore my emails and telephone call. Their names are bill and Donna. I have then woke up this morning to find that I was covered in more bites and to find larger bugs in the headboard, rug and mattress! I went down to the desk again to only be told that there was no available rooms for us and to stay with the rest of our family members as if we weren't infested with bed bugs and others wouldn't mind getting them. The end conclusion was that nothing was compensated or even remotely close to try and show concern. The staff is nasty and rude in the restaurant and the service was slow. I recommend that if you want to get away to somewhere beautiful you go anywhere but here, unless you don't mind bugs and horrible treatment from staff. read more
