The knick knacks and costume jewelry are the highlight of NATS. THE BAD: The clothes are dated, and I think most are donated by those aforementioned lovely old ladies themselves. The store is messy and un-organized, and the prices have become very inflated. Merchandise that is sold in the Dollar Store is marked up double and triple. Men's clothing that I looked at today , none of it new, ranged from ten dollars up, including a sweater with a dime -size hole over the heart with a price tag of 16.99. Recently I overheard an exchange between staff and a gentlemen who paid for furniture (over a hundred dollars) and when he returned to pick it up, found out that it had been sold again to someone else. He was told he'd have to apply to higher ups (at the administrative level) and wait for about a month for a refund. The staff person was not the least bit apologetic and because the man became distraught, began to yell at him. In addition, I have been treated rudely at the drop-off on more than one occasion. Evens&Oddities made up for this as my full haul from Massachusetts. I was impressed upon walking in. I felt like I'd walked into a wizards shop with so many trinkets and wares to pick from. The atmosphere is perfectly dark and eerie. The selection is so unique, I can't say I've seen very many chameleons and zebra skulls in every shop I've been to. The thing that really stood out to me was the pieces of art. Most oddities shops you walk into will sell individual bits and pieces but Kyle has done a beautiful job of turning the puzzle pieces into art. I felt I was really getting my moneys worth with stuff I can put on my walls and shelves. The shop owner is extremely kind and a joy to talk to!!
