I've been a supporter of the St Vincent DePaul location in Benson for years. You can find some really treasures there at thrift store prices. I expected the Tucson location to be the same and I was so wrong. The items that jumped out the most to me were a few plastic measuring containers priced at $3.50/ea. The purpose of thrift stores is to benefit those in need - when you can get the same item brand new for the same price at Walmart or Dollar Tree, that's an issue. The prices of was also very inconsistent - on the shelf below the measuring cups was a vintage, in box, Wilton bunny cake pan from 1974 that was shockingly low at $6.50. The store was also stinky and dirty. I am no stranger to the smells of thrift stores, but the floor and shelves themselves felt dirty. I would skip this place and go to another store, whether you're looking for low priced necessities or your next vintage find. read more

Went to the Thrift Store that is in a strip mall. It was packed with stuff. Much was clothing. There was some furniture and household items, books, toys etc. you could easily find the area with the things you are looking for. The books were separated by subject. stop in at St.Vincents for things i can use as crafting and quilting ..always find loads of things ...they are very nice to the customer and helpful when its needed. I enjoy shoppiing there rather than any other place. The bus line #5 runs right to their door and easily available.. ace hardware is next door, and a circle K is across the street if you need drinks or snacks,and the bus stop is a corner space right in front of the parking lot...and if you want to go further south the #34 bus is at the corner of Pima and Craycroft ..so st. v's is a great place to stop and shop.. can't beat it... read more

Offered lightly used sofa, no blemishes, no rips/tears/worn spots. Scheduled first available pickup 9 days out and waited for them during entire 3-hour period quoted. Driver refused to take it!!! Said only "condition". Wasted my time waiting. 180 degrees away from "serving our needy community" as they quote in mission statement. Many people would like to have this sofa--so silly to turn good stuff away at the whim of inexperienced driver. read more

This place is truly a mixed bag. As a whole, it's pretty unclean feeling. The dressing rooms are definitely not a place you want to spend a lot of time. But I have found some great treasures here. The good: They have a great selection of older books and magazines. A lot of other places will throw away small pamphlets, music books, magazines, etc. but not SVDP, and these are things I love to look through. I have found some awesome old books here. They have a TON of records; the flip side is not many of them are very good unless you really really like Burt Bacharach. They have pretty frequent sales. The bad: They're one of those places that will sort out "vintage/boutique" items into another area or rack and price them to high heaven. The problem with thrift stores doing this is that 1) they're usually wrong about what is worth something and what isn't and 2) they think that they can charge vintage store prices when they haven't put the additional work into making the item worth that much, i.e. cleaning, repairing, etc. The upside is that because they don't actually know what's worth anything, I've gotten some great vintage items for their regular prices. Their furniture is always overpriced no matter what it is so I never get any furniture here unless it is on sale. Their hours suck - only open until 5 on weekdays so anyone who has a normal 9-5 can never make it here on a weekday. As far as COVID procedures, I didn't notice much different; they did have arrows directing one-way traffic down the aisles but not in all areas. I don't know if they have increased cleaning procedures as this place is always a little grungy. read more

I paid to get a couch delivered and was indicated that they would deliver it to my upstairs apartment and paid the delivery fee. The lady indicated it on the notes and in writing but they refused they left it on the curb and had no way to take it upstairs and had to hire someone else to bring it up stairs. when I spoke to the lady about this all she told me was we serve our community and are a non-profit and kept making excuses and wouldn't even consider refunding me the amount for delivery. DO NOT PAY FOR DELIVERY. it's a waste of money. read more

Used to be a great thrift/charity... Paul and Andrew did a fine job picking up my large donations... New boss hired, the thrift is now in total disarray... now VERY nasty about picking up donations, Paul and Andrew suspended from pick-ups... many employees fired... stores understaffed and a mess. AVOID this thrift until they fire the dragon they just hired!! read more

I found found many great purses and shoes here. Price are really reasonable, and the BEST specials around for sure!!! Staff is really friendly and always helpful. The store is looking better and more organized every time. You will find treasures you just have to look. They always have a lot of furniture selection as well. They have a another location on 6th and 18th, both great thrift stores. read more

Stay away from here! The staff is horrible and they treat the homeless like animals. Go to another thift store. They don't deserve our money. Clothes are rags. Furniture filthy and may have bed bugs. Don't know what happened. Used to go there years ago and they have changed for the worst. There are many thift stores in Tucson that is a whole lot better and nicer. Will be writing bad reviews so nobody else wastes their time and money. Terrible employees. read more

3 stars because it could use a little organization especially by the cash register. But everywhere else in the store was fine - it's an old school thrift store and the prices reflect that. The clerk was super nice and friendly - a young guy who was concerned that people may have been waiting too long (which we were not). I got a pair of nearly unworn shoes for $6 and a vintage metal book holder for $1. I wish I wore a size 7 as there was a gorgeous pair of Robert Clergerie taupe leather slides for $6 that looked like they had maybe (?) been worn once. I'll check back from time to time. read more

This thrift store has specials often, including daily tag color deals at 50% and 75% off. It's next to the Ace Hardware store so I occasionally look around when my husband is taking forever buying washers or nuts or whatever it is he's looking for for hours... This isn't a particularly well organized or clean thrift store, certainly not the type of place I want to spend time in the dressing room. That being said, you'll find treasures occasionally, but you'll have to sort through a lot of wrack to get to them! The clothing aisles are claustrophobically narrow, too. So why should you donate to and (try to) shop here? This is a real charity that does some ground-level giving. I've seen families come in here with church vouchers for clothing, plus they are directly tied to a respectable charitable society. read more

Arranged pickup of 3 furniture items and 3 boxes of clothes, shoes and miscellaneous. On the phone, they seemed delighted to have the items. We could not be at the retirement home when the pickup came. One guy came. He couldn't move a loveseat, nearly new headboard, footboard and rails for full size bed and an oak desk by himself. He said he would call "a couple more guys". Furniture did not get taken. The upshot was, we are left at the 11th hour with good furniture needing a home. We will NOT call on the local St Vincent de Paul charity again. read more

There's a reason the furniture here never moves. Whoever is pricing it is ridiculous. 95$ for a broken dresser. 125$ for a dirty old sofa. There's a pink kids vanity that's been sitting there for a year. Waste of time stopping here. read more

I shop here a lot. This is probably one of, if not my favorite, thrift store in Tucson. I always manage to find some cool stuff here - whether it be books or board games, purses or knicknacks, records or food magazines, I love St. Vinnie's and their charity is one I really admire. read more

I LOVE This PLACE!!! Most of all All the people that work here!! they are allways so kind and receptive to all the customers that enter this store.
