Horrible place. All different people with different mental health issues were all placed…read moretogether.Cleanliness was also an issue. Rooms with holes punched out were typical. Individual needs were not met to say the least.

Just left this place not too long ago (the adolescent unit). DO NOT send your kids here…read more1. Had to be in my room for 5 hours a day, alone with my thoughts, with nothing to do. (I still have the paper schedule they gave me for the week I was there, and I calculated it, and it was actually 5 hours) 2. Kids with depression are placed with kids with anger issues. There was bloodcurling screams every night, patients threw things and got violent and attacked staff and even other kids sometimes. I have PTSD so this was extremely triggering for me. The kids were so violent that they had a restraint chair for them. 3. I had an altercation with another kid there, and he tried to go after me violently. Throwing chairs, running towards me like he was about to fight me. I told staff about this, they said they would deal with it, yet when I went into my MyChart notes the day after I left, it said I had no problems with the other kids, and didn't say anything about what had happened. They covered it up in the notes. 4. A staff member asked us all why we were there and then joked about our reasons. I told other staff about this and yet again, it wasn't put into my MyChart notes. This leads me to think they're covering this up too, especially because I saw the staff member again the day after I told on him. (this same staff member also talked about the adult patients upstairs- not enough information for me to know who they were, but still broke HIPPA) 5. Told them I was hurting myself, not in the form of cutting but in another way, and it was completely blown past because it's "not as bad" as cutting 6. My family was calling me and the staff didn't let me know. They would tell my brothers and parents "she's busy, we'll have her call you back later", but I was not notified even once that someone had called until I asked to call my brother and the staff member said "yeah, he KEEPS calling" in a really rude tone 7. The group therapy was literally just arts and crafts and icebreakers. First day of school type stuff. Some examples of the things we did in "group therapy" are: yarn art, what's your spirit animal, find the hidden objects in the picture, putting glitter in a water bottle to see it swirl, playing mariocart, "get to know you" Jenga with icebreaker questions like "what's your favorite movie? if you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?". When we started talking about our issues during these groups, we were told not that we were getting off topic. The ONLY group we did the whole time I was there that had anything to do with actual therapy was a meditation group. Once. They played a meditation youtube video and let us sit and listen. I could've just done that at home without being traumatized by this place 8. The notes on what I told them about my mental illness and my past were completely wrong. I've gotten worse since before I admitted myself here, and while it's not completely their fault I got worse, it is their fault that I will never feel safe to go to a hospital for my suicidal thoughts again. It's no longer an option for me.

While most Healthcare providers we know charge a lot and often receive poor reviews, this one has…read moresomething the others dont - Unqualified and unknowledgeable doctors. Add that to a corporation that doesn't care, and you HAVE TO AVOID. Went to Urgent Care, doctor looked one second at me, gave a diagnosis and recommended treatment, and sent a large bill. After 8 weeks of treatment, I went to a specialist who indicated that there was NO WAY any qualified doctor could give that diagnosis, as the ailment diagnosed could not possibly be caused by pain in the reported location. Complete malpractice and Misdiagnosis. Happily went to a real agency who provided proper treatment and care and months later I am better. But Hartford Heath could care less. I called and filed a complaint, with a reasonable request that I should not be paying a bill if the diagnosis was blatantly wrong, and they refused a refund without any appeals. You have a choice to who you go to. Your health is important. Why would anyone go to a place where doctor's don't have basic medical knowledge to make correct decisions to your health, and likewise if they do make a mistake, they refuse to stand behind their product. Fairfield can do better. Linda Thompkins, Patient Advocate, likewise should really change title to Hartford Healthcare Advocate, as she is ineffective.

They still offer the great quick service you were used to at the previous site. Whenever I have any issues and can't get to my general practice doctor I normally come here. I had a terrible experience with Dr. Ofer and his office…read more I initially had surgery with him for a mid-urethral sling to treat stress urinary incontinence (not being able to hold urine). Unfortunately, the procedure did not work. Dr. Ofer later mentioned that there were known issues with that specific sling product. Because I did not want to undergo another invasive surgery, we discussed an alternative option using urethral bulking gel injections (Bulkamid). I agreed to move forward with this procedure. The scheduling process was extremely unprofessional. I was given only a date, not a time, and was told they would follow up. I never received proper confirmation. Then, the day before the procedure, the surgical center called me with confusing information about a different procedure--one that I never discussed or consented to with the doctor. Concerned, I called the office and asked to speak directly with Dr. Ofer to clarify what was happening. I was told the only way to speak with him was to schedule a telehealth appointment that I would be charged for. At that point, it felt like a money grab rather than patient care. Due to the lack of communication, disorganization, and pressure to pay just to get answers, I lost trust and decided not to proceed. They lost me as a patient. I would strongly advise others to stay away and look for a provider who prioritizes clear communication, patient safety, and care over billing

She spoke with me for a good thirty minutes which was awesome because most walk in clinics never listen to you : we spoke about how antibiotics may be making my body weak and worse - off putting at first because I was stuck in my ways : I chose to listen Took 100% of her advice - it has been two days and I feel SO MUCH BETTER - mucinex and water - with a cough syrup she prescribed - my lungs are 80% better then if i has taken antibiotics - I love her , she's great : definitely made me more optimistic :)

I called here on a weekend looking to have my cauliflower ear (relatively common issue in wrestling…read moreand other combat sports) drained. I had the following (paraphrased) conversation on the phone before driving over. Me: "I just want to make sure that you can do this before I come down. I went to a different clinic yesterday and they didn't know how to do it. Its draining a cauliflower ear." WFH: "Hold on let me check. [pause]. Its just using a syringe and draining it, right?" Me: "Yes" WFH: [pause] "Yes, we can do that." Me: "Great. Driving over now" 20 minute drive, several forms, and 1+ hours in the waiting room later, they see me. The nurse takes my temperature and checks my blood pressure. Asks me about my ear. Then says that she doesn't have experience doing the draining, so is going to check with someone else in the office. She soon comes back. Nope -- no one here knows how to do it. I describe my earlier phone conversation, but it goes no where -- sorry, no can do. We don't know who told you that on the phone. Well, OK, that was a waste of time. BUT THEN, they bill me. And my insurance. (fraud?) I end up calling their billing people who tell me to call their office... ... so I call their office (several times on different days; due to busy signals and hang-ups, I only get through on the third day I try). They tell me to call their billing "person" (who's apparently different than the company)... ...so I call this person. And leave a voicemail. And they never call back. And I'm done with dealing with them -- they can have their co-pay and this one-star review. The End. Place sucks. Would not recommend.
