I was concerned there wouldn't be enough time for alterations on my wedding dress, but we went through two rounds of adjustments within 2 weeks without needing to set up an appointment! The dress fits me like a glove and the length is perfect! I loved everything about the experience working with Alla and Lyubov that I decided to get my rehearsal dinner dress tailored here too. We went there to get a suit altered. First of all, it seems to me that a intern was pinning his suit, which I really did not like, but I was going to go along with it, although it was just awful! But I figured it would be taken care of by the real semtress of the facility. When it was time to check out, we learned we had to pay half upfront and pay the balance upon pick up. That wasn't the problem although at the other ateration location, we only paid at pick up. The real issue was the cost!! It was extremely too high!!$108.00 compared to $80.00. $80.00 is the best bargain for excellent work, at the other location and where we will continue to get our items altered. read more

THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!! made my wedding dress fit like a glove!!! it was perfect! I'm a size 2 and came in with a size 8 wedding dress.. a few trials later and they made it into my dream dress!! customer service was amazing, dress looked amazing, alterations were amazing, communication was incredible, never in a million year will I go anywhere else for any alterations that I'll be needing! Later find out that my husband also got his suit altered at Staar Tailors! his suit looked and fit him perfect! also let's talk about how fast they were! I have been going here for over 6 months and never had an issue until today. I used my mom skills to alter my child's costume that they didn't have time to alter before the event. I am not a seamstress, but wanted it to be done the right way, i took in today and they told me they couldnt sew a professional straight line over my hand stitch bc I had made a mess of it and should have brought to them the first time. Mind you, its a kids Halloween costume and needed a nice straight line stitch. I have given them thousands of dollars worth of bus on a monthly basis and they laughed at my mom repair job and said they wouldnt fix it. I was blown away. I will never step foot in there again and will take my business elsewhere. No one deserves to be talked down to and talked about in english or whatever language they speak, be user they talked about me and laughed in both. read more

Purchased a really simple dress at a sample sale that was a size too big. Brought the dress in, changed into it in the fitting room and didn't have to say much - she just pinned where it needed to be taken in and in 5 days magic! The dress fit! I expected it to take longer because it was still prom season when I went. You can pay half when you drop off your item or pay in full - I paid in full. This place is wonderful. I have all of my work clothes altered here. They are so kind, detail oriented, and have competitive pricing. They get swamped around prom season because they are so popular but they work so hard to keep short turnaround times. I can't imagine going anywhere else in the upstate and can't believe it took me so long to get around to writing a review. All of this being said, be prepared for the parking nightmare. This place is in an old strip mall with a parking lot that has car eating potholes. It sucks, drive carefully, and know that the quality of work once you get inside will exceed your expectations. Brought in 7 pants and 17 shirts to be done today and the total was probably 2/3 of where it would have been anywhere else. There is typically only one or two people in the front so have some patience. read more

I took my down filled hunting coat (which I cold not get anyone else to touch)to Staar Tailors after I heard about them. They replaced the full length double zipper and it is perfect. I went here to have my bridesmaid dress altered. It was about 2 sizes too big and needed a lot of work. Esther and Ella were always quick to listen to what I needed and to do a fantastic job at accomplishing what I needed. Their work was perfect, and even when I changed my mind about the cups I had sewn into my dress, and was fully expecting to be charged to have them taken out and new ones put in- they didn't charge me an extra dime. They didn't even charge a rush fee for needing it the next day! Their prices were the best I found in the area.
