PLEASE READ before going here!!! So I took my bridesmaid dress here to get hemmed a few inches at the bottom. I had called and asked for a estimate price and he said he can give me one until he sees the dress, so I took it in and tried it on and he started to add markers and pins to where it needed to be hemmed. I thought "well there's no going back now lol" anyways he rings me up and it costed me $65 which is double what I've ever had to pay to get a bridesmaids dress hemmed. I thought well he must be good then. Especially cause he told me he was on the news for how good he was! (Which isn't even true!) Anyways I went and picked up my dress today, hoping to be satisfied since, paying $65 for a few inches to be hemmed.. I got home and checked it out, because he offered to put my dress in my vehicle for me.. (I took the picture of him cause I thought it was kind of him to help, now I know he was probably just not wanting me to see the crappy job he did until I got home) Anyways, the photos speak for themselves. this was literally the worse sewing job I have ever seen done. My 6 yr old niece could have done better. I least she would have finished it. I have called and left a message asking for a refund cause this is absolutely ridiculous for paying $65, and receiving this back. This dress originally costed me $180 and I payed $65 for it to get ruined. I would never recommend this place and I will actually warn people of it read more

I want to say that Sue's alterations is the best best best in the world. I took a pair of gloves three pair actually My grandson lost two fingers and the other three severely damaged The man altered the gloves for him and he is so happy with them. He did this in less than a week and I thank you and everybody should use them for alterations read more

Wow, is all I can say. The man who owns the store had 8 items to either repair or dry-clean. When I picked up my order, I see a pant suit that was super wrinkled just like when I gave it to him and a rain coat that also was supposed to be dry-cleaned. At first all I saw was the Eileen Fisher pantsuit. I asked him what did he do? "This was as wrinkled as it was when I gave it to you." He shrugged. I said pull the ticket. You charged me for 8 items $64.00. He said "I did something." " If you gave it to me I did something." I said "No, I am not paying for something you clearly did not dry clean. He got so angry he threw the clothing at me and told me to get out of his store and then threw the money at me! I was dumbfounded. Mortified in fact. What the hell just happened? Anyway, when I got home and looked at everything else, the raincoat that was also supposed to be dry cleaned was not. I have no idea how this place has a 5 star rating. read more

I am from out of town and I brought my dress with me hoping to find a place to get alterations to it while I was here for the weekend. The gentleman who helped me was absolutely amazing and was able to get my dress altered and pressed within 24 hours. My sister is getting married on the 1st, and I took my bridesmaid dress to this lady to get it altered and she just completely messed my dress up! Had blood on it with other stains I was so nervous due to the weeding only being a week away, then I found Sue's alternation and let me tell y'all!! I will never go to anyone else besides this place from now on! He had my dress dry cleaned and altered in less then 5 days!!!! I called John just 2 days before my son's wedding in panic and in tears, because my dress came back from another tailor still entirely too big and looking terrible on me. John took me in right away, listened graciously to my concerns, and he got to work right away on my dress. I was shocked when he called me 5 hours later to tell me that he was done with my dress. When I tried my dress on after he had worked on it, I was so thrilled! It fits like a dream!!! Thank you so much for saving my dress for this most important day! I took my wedding dress to have work done on it back in February. The man that helped me was super nice and helpful. I had my dress hemmed, padded, bustled, and steamed for $90. The original dress I had tried on was a size four, but the company I ordered from said a two would be better for me. So, I had all this work done to my dress and didn't realize until my bridal shoot that i should have kept the size four because it sat on my hips better. The company I ordered my dress from let me change out the size two for a size four. I had to take the new dress Back to sues alterations to have all the same work done except for the steam. I had a lady this time( the mans wife) that was very nice at first. She pinned me and everything and then I got ready to leave. I was expecting to pay the same price I paid before minus the steam. I ask the lady how much it was going to be and she says $160! I ask her why the price is higher when I am having less work done to the same exact dress and she said, well I can subtract ten dollars. I informed her I refuse to pay $150 when I had the same work plus a steam done the first time for $90. They couldn't explain why they were charging me so much more money. Her and another older lady became very rude at this point and I asked her to take the pins out of my dress bc I was leaving. Very rudely they say, " you won't get this price anywhere else." I was so frustrated by the rudeness. Needless to say I took my dress to a lady from my hometown that has a business out of her home doing alterations. She does excellent work and I should of just drove a little extra to start with instead of fooling with sue's alterations. I had my dress padded, hemmed, and bustled for $40. It only took her three days to do it as well and she has a ton of business. I would like for sue's alterations to know that I got their $160 service for $40 and it's just as good of quality. Also, the customer service was much better. I will not be returning to sue's in Greer and I do not recommend it unless you want to be ripped off. read more

I took my dress to have shoulders and sleeves taken up. The man assured me that he could do it. Went back twice for him to make changes. The third time I went the sleeves were uneven and the shoulder seams were wrinkled. I took my dress to a reputable place in Greenville and they said that it could not be fixed because he cut too much fabric off. He was a nice man but misrepresented his skills and ruined my dress.
