He was able to get my case to go to mediation instead of court which saved me not only precious time but also a large amount of money. Throughout the duration of my case, I had frequent updates via email, phone calls, and texts. As a physician, these updates assured me that my case was being handled appropriately. My invoices were detailed and allowed me to see what I was actually getting for the money. Overall, Nistler Law has made a lasting impression on me and has had a big impact on my clinic. Unfortunately Attorney Fairweather passed away a few months later. I requested to meet with a new attorney at Hawks Quindel. The firm made me pay an additional consultation fee to meet with the second attorney, which I thought was odd. After less than an hour in the office, the second attorney told me that I didn't have a case. Not only was I out one, but two consultation fees, and left exactly where I started. Today, I read an article where an attorney at Hawks Quindel is representing a volunteer who is suing a non-profit organization (a volunteer rescue squad) because he felt that he should be paid for his volunteer service. While I wholeheartedly agree that Paramedics deserve good pay, that volunteer KNEW what he was signing up for when he applied to be a volunteer. After looking into said volunteer, I see that he has felony convictions for Medicare fraud, in which he was ordered to pay over a MILLION dollars in unearned fraudulent claims. So he turns to suing a volunteer run ambulance service to pay back his debts? I don't think so. Hawks Quindel should be ashamed of themselves for representing a professional con artist. I even asked him to when we entered the Milwaukee courthouse. He never said a word on my behalf, and I mean nothing. He just sat in a chair with his hands on the table. The judge asked him if he had anything to say, and he replied "No, your honor". I was very disappointed with his attitude and representation. After the court hearing, I asked him why he didn't advocate on my behalf. He shrugged his shoulders, lifted his hands and slapped his thighs, and said nothing. At this point I realized what a mistake I made retaining him. A few weeks later, he had the nerve to send me a bill for another $700. I had no choice and paid it. I'm surprised he still practicing law. I feel because of his dishonesty, that he should be disbarred. My advice to anyone needed an attorney in a divorce proceeding is to go somewhere else and just stay away from Magner And Hueneke.
