I've visit them often for kitchen supplies due to their convenient location by the airport. They don't require you to have a restaurant business which is nice for regular shoppers who are looking for restaurant quality equipment. It seems like they used to offer cooking classes which would be a really interesting use of the space but unfortunately classes have stopped. I came here after looking at the website. I was specifically looking for a meat tenderizer and when I got there was told that the prices on the website were different because of shipping and handling costs. I went to pick up the box and it fell out the bottom. It sounded solid though. It was about $2.00 more for my item but cheaper than if I went to BBB. It's a huge place! I was also looking for a fancy dish for presenting my food item but they had really cheaply made plates from China. They do have a bunch of gadgets and foodie type things. This was my very first time participating in a cooking competition or cooking class and it was so much fun!! The chef was awesome and funny. He made the experience fun and exciting. He helped everyone with their dish and gave us additional tips on how we can make it different for another time. This was such a great team building experience. The only reason I can't give this place 5 Stars is because I didn't actually buy anything! A friend has been telling me about this place for year's now. We stopped in to browse today. This place is an absolute must for serious cook's. They have everything from Ketchup and Mustard Squeeze Bottles to Giant Two Door Sub Zero Refrigerators. They even offer cooking classes for the aspiring Home Chef. The only reason I didn't get anything was that I came in unprepared and was a little overwhelmed by the selection and variety offered here. I need to take an inventory of my kitchen so I can develop a plan of attack before my next visit! They have an automatic door entrance and the aisles are nice and wide for wheelchair users. read more

In the summer of 2008 I started seriously furnishing my kitchen, and this entailed me spending a lot of time at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If only I had known about Superior Equipment Sooner! Restaurant supply stores are nice if you need to furnish a restaurant, but they're also very useful to supply your personal kitchen equipment as well. Given their commercial intents, the stuff you'll find here is not nearly as flashy as the stuff you'll find in department stores, but it comes with the added benefit of not breaking after three uses, either. It's not an one-stop shop for the home kitchen - home electrics aren't really under their purview, but if you have a need for pots, pans, and utensils, you can probably find it here for cheap. My only issue with the place is that some of the special equipment can be costly - I could pick up a giant mixing bowl for $9 and a large spider for $7, but the sized dishers (the things used for cafeteria mashed potatoes or - ineffectively - ice cream) were going for $20. Still, it's a useful resource for the home cook that is more concerned about the function of a piece of equipment rather than it's appearance. read more
