In searching for one close to where I live/work, Yelp led me to Carol Ruggieri's space at Crescent Moon Skincare. I placed a phone call, left a message and within a day or so got a call back from Carol inviting me to stop in for a chat/free consultation to talk about my concerns and to let me know what methods of treatments she offered. Carol is that friend who tells it like it is. No sugar coating, she's thorough and lays out everything on the table so there are no surprises. In a word, refreshing. Meeting her and putting my skin into her hands has been one of the best decisions I've made this year. My skin overhaul consisted of a specific regimen of products purchased through Carol (surprisingly inexpensive compared to the arsenal I currently owned), which I diligently used morning and night everyday. Then I'd return every two weeks for follow up skin assessments - involved a personalized facial and low level acid peels in my case - and each time my skin would get better and clearer. It only took two months to get my skin back on track. People look at me now and they don't believe I ever had skin issues. I'm writing this review and including before and after photos as a testament to Carol's magic and that I owe my newfound confidence to her. It made me a little sad during today's visit when Carol said I wouldn't need to see her as often anymore. That I could go for 8 weeks or beyond for a follow up.
