Just wandering around while friends were still asleep, exploring a bit, and it ended up being one of the best random stops I've made. Best dollar I've probably spent in Vegas was on that hot dog. No joke. Simple, quick, and it hit exactly the way it needed to. Sometimes that's all you want. This place isn't fancy at all, and that's exactly why it works. It's a break from the Strip. No pressure, no over the top pricing, just a real, old school Vegas feel. You walk in and it's got character. You can tell it's been around and has history behind it. It's one of those places that reminds you Vegas wasn't always about high end everything. There's still spots like this that keep it real. Friends in town, looking to try one of our "dive bars" and we were by flamingo, so we knew where to go. They check your ID at the door and I appreciate that...no concern for your safety when someone is constantly watching the door. This was a rather slow night...we all ordered the 2$ Dos Equis and had a nice chat. SCARED AND UNPREPARED Short, sweet and too the point: the doorman is ignorant and he's lucky I have better things to do than sue his dumbass. I just stopped by, checking out new spots in this area and as soon as I present my ID this ignorant individual says I need to be careful with my service dog; they have K9 security on site. I responded that was fine; Boeba is my 3 year old service dog and he's non-confrontational. Bouncer said something about keeping them apart and I said Boeba's 3 and he wouldn't fight with a dog for no reason; he's trained. At this point the yahoo says I'm being denied service...simply for voicing my concerns and opinion on his suggested concerns. I worked security when this little guy was riding his trike so I said my piece, expressed my frustrations with his incompetence and left as directed. Bottomline: The bouncer's an uneducated individual who could really use some disability sensitivity training. He wasn't even the handler and when the handler did appear with his dog, Boeba didn't bark or growl, he wagged his tail; he wanted to socialize, that's what dogs do! Immediately the handler, without a clue of the ongoing conversation, agrees with the yahoo and says they wouldn't get along...that told me how uneducated the handler was, lol! I wasn't going to allow Boeba to approach the working dog; they were both working! If the handler had 1/2 a clue, he'd know that TRAINED SERVICE DOGS OBEY THEIR HANDLERS...just like trained security dog handlers should have FULL CONTROL OF THEIR DOGS! It looks like a really kool place to have a drink but I can easily spend my funds elsewhere...where service animals are welcomed without circumstances or conditions! And then the manager won't give a f (completely unreasonable to locals) if you are at Bautista's next door from 8 pm - 10:30pm (there was a long wait to be seated about 45min) then stepped off property for 30 min to walk around after all the food. Then back to stage door to sit and have a drink. This is why locals just don't even go out to the strip anymore. We won't be back. Ever. And I will be telling everyone not to come to this bar, this parking lot or the restaurant. We found this place by accident and Boy, was I not disappointed. there's also a liquor store connected so you can pick up something for the rest of your trip when you leave here they have a 3 dollar hotdog which my friend really enjoyed. January 27, 2024. Saturday. Morning. A great dive bar. This bar/casino/liquor store is along the side of the Horseshoe casino, which used to be Bally's. I visited here the night before, but it was super packed inside and I never got to order. It's not really a casino. It only has bar top poker machines. If you are looking for a real casino, go elsewhere. There are two bars inside and limited seating. This place has the lowest prices on drinks. They have $1 beers and shot specials. The reason I came back in the morning was for the 1/4 pound, all beef hot dogs for $2 each. The waitress took my order immediately. She was friendly and said the hot dogs could be ordered "to go" and would come with all the condiments. My hot dogs were ready in about three minutes. Note: there is a $1 "to go" charge per hot dog. Still much cheaper than any other place. The condiments were: ketchup, mustard, sweet relish, mayonnaise, Gulden's mustard, and dehydrated onions. The hot dogs were still hot upon opening them in my room inside the Horseshoe. These hot dogs were large and tasted amazing in the early morning. Visit Stage Door for a great deal on drinks and food. I also visited the adjacent liquor store. The workers were friendly, and the prices were low there. The Horseshoe has keno and is a nice, clean casino with spacious rooms. If you don't know a thing about Stage Door then let me tell you -- YOU NEED TO COME HERE! I've been frequenting this place since as long as I've been 21+ and it's half liquor store half casino and 100% worth the visit. We used to pregame here in the casino because the shots were only $5 on our way to Drai's beach club and then I became an even bigger fan when they became the first location in Vegas to have the MASSIVE Beatbox fruit stand. Only thing is that they don't have the green apple flavor yet but if you're a huge fan of those dangerous drinks they're the closest location to the strip to have every possible beatbox flavor (refrigerated and unrefrigerated). Oh yeah... they also have CASES ON CASES of this stuff. Okay honestly there's really not much else to say. The staff here is a total 10/10 and I love them. Just visit. You won't regret it! Just over 10 years later and I'm writing a follow up review for Stage Door, a Vegas staple that holds down a piece of Vegas that is harder and harder to find these days. A "dive" just off the Vegas Strip? Yes please. I'll admit, Stage Door has changed quite a bit since it was an absolute dive, but it didn't change to the point that it's become fancy or expensive, it's just been expanded and tidied up a bit and I'll call that a win, which is harder and harder to find in Vegas these days. You'll get a thorough pat-down when walking in the front door but don't worry, it's worth the seemingly reckless times that are soon to follow. A bunch of people recommended the Stage Door to us and so we finally stopped in this last trip to Vegas. I will say, you cannot beat $1 beers and hot dogs. The hot dogs were plump and they have all the fixins on the tables for you to add to it. Totally worth stopping in for a cheap lunch. We took over a couple of tables by the door and got some buckets of beers and some hot dogs and made friends with the bouncers. This is such a fun place, but I am sure at night it gets real sketchy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I use to love this place but the security here now is on a power trip. I took an out of state friend here for a few drinks and my friend wanted to catch the fountains at Bellagio before midnight we left at 11:30 and were back by 12:10 only to find out security had called in the tow company to tow my car. I understand people take advantage of their lot to park for free but I was a patron that night who left for a few minutes and came back only to find my car gone. After speaking with the tow company they agreed to release my car if security agrees I was a patron that night. However, security categorically refused stating if I ever left the building even for 1 min they have the right to tow. A simple courtesy is all I asked as I did not know leaving for a few mins could cost me a tow, there is no signage that warns of such actions . Signage specifically says non patrons would be towed but I was a patron that night and I only left for 30 mins. Security interpreted that I stopped being a patron the min I left the building. Maybe this business has to redo their signage to state that leaving the premises for even a min will get your car towed. I went in for cheap drinks ended up with a $440 tow fee beware of this place if you park there Stay away altogether, it's lost its charm, bathroom looks like an abandoned building , no paper towels , smells horrible , bartender was great security was just plain garbage to be honest. This one particular security guy took pride in seeing my distress and all my pleas to just tell the tow company I was a patron that night to get my car release went on deaf ears. He actually decided to kick me out for telling him he had the power to just tell the tow company over the phone that it was a mistake to tow my car after just a short absence from the bar. There was no arguments on my part just pleas and this security guy still said no and kicked me out on top of that. There was no human consideration here, my future business meant nothing to him even as a local . This business might thrive on foot traffic but people read reviews and they will see this and decide if they need to take their business elsewhere . If you park here beware of indiscriminate towing patron or not. Seems like security is in cahoots with the tow company. How was tow that fast to get there and tow my car within 30 mins ? Tow confirmed to me they only come out after a security call meaning security literally called out as soon as he saw me walked out of the bar and by the time I was back in 30 mins my car was gone. He must be getting a cut from each tow. Even his attitude and outright defiance to get my car release was evident of this fact. Once established at my hotel I decided to head out and get supplies for my stay. I usually like to get myself some snacks, drinks and necessities to hold me over on my stay. This was literally across the street and I though this would be the best place to secure some items. I will say that this space is a bit confusing. It is a bar, store, and restaurant all in one. Each spot has a separate door for entry. I was told that at one point you were freely allowed to move from the bar to the store, but now you have to go outside to enter each. I walked in and did a quick one take of the spot and went to the counter to see if they had the type of cigarettes I smoke, they had the brand, but not the type. So the quick stop was just that. Before we left, they were able to direct me to a nearby establishment that might carry what I need. They were not wrong on the recommendation. read more

Cross over there and then you can load up on drinks here at the Stage Door Casino's convenience store. Now you can properly stock your room's fridge! This convenience store is likely THE BEST place to purchase beer, wine, liquor, drinks, and snacks anywhere along The Strip. The prices for everything inside this store are actually somewhat reasonable, at least compared to anywhere else selling drinks to go around here. I know this much for certain: everything here is half the cost or less than anything offered within the Horseshoe. Now, let's talk about the inside of the bar and casino. $2.00 juicy and perfect quarter-pound hotdogs, $1.00 cold-as-ice Budweisers, and quarter video poker all at the bar! Really, this is some people's version of Heaven right here! Overall, it's really the best deal you'll get ANYWHERE that I know of as far as beer and hotdogs go. I was drinking here for about 4 hours and then went for a 15 minute walk to get some fresh air. When I got back my car had been towed. I argue with the parking lot security and they don't care, they said "I left the property." I uber over to the tow place, which is about 12 minutes away. There were multiple people from stage door that were at this place picking up their car. It cost $430 cash to pick up my car that was towed 5 miles and they held onto it for less than 2 hours. It is clear that stage door gets a cut from the towing company. How can a bar stay open on the strip in Vegas serving $1 beers? They do some illegal activities, such as this parking lot scam. I saw 4 people get towed in a very small time period. This has to be going on all day every day at $430 a pop. This tow company is making an absolute fortune and they definitely give stage door a cut as they are in constant communication with each other. I have never left a review on yelp or any business or anything. I just really think this is a scam and people should know and the police should be notified about this. They are going to say something about the signs. The sign says "parking for customers only." I was a customer all day and yes I left the property for a short amount of time, so you tow me?
