I like the staggered standing levels. A few different bars - lobby or just inside the theater to keep you hydrated. Parking can be easy on Greenville in certain places if you know where to look although as new restaurants are opening nearby I'm gonna lose my go-to parking. Love that the CD World owner bought this place years ago and made it such a great venue. Also love that it's in my hood.

So far they have shown Cruella and Hocus Pocus, and the energy has been great every time.

The event started out with a very nice reception an hour and a half before the MC & the short fly fishing films started. Free beer from one our locals, Community Beer Company, was being served. The vibe in the place was high. Even Tom Rosenbauer, our MC was walking amongst us handing out fly fishing swag during this time. When the short films started, the first short film was on fly fishing & Reel Recovery .ORG, a great little film that spoke volumes about helping guys with cancer! It did bring several tears to my eyes, but what the heck, it was truly moving, coming from the heart! (reelrecovery.org) Reel Recovery is a national non-profit organization that conducts free fly-fishing retreats for men living with all forms of cancer. After our intro film, (and there were of tears flowing), the regular fly fishing films started and were pumped up, big time! Some of the greatest fly fishing put to sound and filmed! Fresh & salt water fly fishing was on the big screen with pumped up sound. Count me in for next year, BIG time! Our friends at Community Beer Company made sure we had our thirsts quenched, Orvis endorsed guides offered up trips and our partners Granada Movie Theater hosted the party! Ticket included: free food, free local craft beer, free swag, raffle prizes, (grand prize - H2 fly rod) Doors opened at 6pm Pre party started at 6:30pm Show started at 7:30pm And I'm still living the short fly fishing films again and again in my mind, truly so fun! Tom Rosenbauer, from Orvis was our MC! (Tom has been a lifelong fly fisher and is the author of more than a dozen books on fly-fishing and fly tying. He has worked with the Orvis company for more than thirty years.) If you want to learn a little more about fly fishing you can go to iTunes and download some of Tom Rosenbauer's (our MC for the night) podcasts from Orivis. There are a number of different fly fishing topics that are very interesting! I'm big into fly fishing, especially cold water trout. But, there so many great shots of saltwater fly fishing, that a person might just take that up as well! This was such a great event in my opinion, that I would recommend you mark it down for next year! See you there, in 2016 Dallas! (Tight lines my fly fishing friends!)

From the time that myself and some of the other artists that had arrived, the customer service had not been the best. We were ill-informed of the requirements and if it wasn't for me bringing my laptop to the event, we would've had no music to play over the sound system. The owner made a number of condescending comments that he tried to make into a joke, which no one thought were funny. When I got slightly stern with him, the comments ceased, in my direction. Throughout the night, a woman that hadn't been around, and this is before the event had event started, proceeds to grab my drink and throw it away. I told her that it was mine and I would appreciate if she left it there. Rudely, she makes a comment about it needing to be thrown away by show time, while they had their own, personal drinks lying around, with food. We had received been clearance of our food vendor being able to be in a specific place outside and then the owner is outside, while our show is going on, threatening to call the police and wants us out immediately. There was another show in another theater that was 99% white people, which they had additional commentary for the nearly 100-150 people coming out of the show. We had maybe 20 people in our show and they were constantly on us the entire night about the smallest things, despite selling nearly 100 tickets for our show. Coincidentally, most of the people that came to our show were Latin, Hispanic, and Black backgrounds. Definitely came off as racially profiled and was quite literally the worst experience I've had at a venue. Unprofessional and definitely hoping to never get booked her or ever go back again. Artists, stay clear away!! The only reason I gave this place two stars was because the venue is nice, clean, and spacious. Two members of the staff, one of the sound guys and the bartender were professional, courteous, non-judgmental, did their jobs and made this experience somewhat bearable.

The venue has good sound quality with an open stage and room for standing. The show was fun and as always, the bands brought the energy and good vibes. No covers are there so if it rains, good luck with the weather part. The bar area has your beer/spirits although it's pricy. Best to drink somewhere else before heading here unless you like spending $8 for a miller lite.

The vibe felt family friendly and Transviolet was great! I would definitely go back there again.

But in reality, the theater was not full. So I am not quite sure what was going on. The theater has not changed and has not been updated since our 2011 visit. The theater is showing its age. The seats we had were broken. They were stuck in one position and could only be changed with considerable physical force. I had to get up and kick the seat many times to get it to a normal upright position. The seats were not comfortable. The theater we were in (#1) had a screen that was too small for the size. The theater was quite large and we were towards the back, Row G, and screen seemed barely adequate. Maybe it would have been better if we had been closer. The previews appeared not to be in HD although the picture quality for the main show was fine. Aside from our broken chairs, another complaint is the fact that servers were walking in front of us nearly the entire show. You think that ordering food and drink as you watch a movie is a good idea, but it is not. It became really annoying to constantly have servers walk in front of us, which was distracting especially during key moments of the movie. We did not order any food but the people to the right and left of us did, so we had people walking in front of us the entire show. The wife and I both said that the experience was not enjoyable and we will not return to this theater.

I have recently been back as an adult and the experience is not quite as I remember. The seating is still nice but basically matches the seating of most modern theaters. The room was packed with loud kids and teenagers who either ran around with no care or were glued to their phone at full volume. Both of these did not make for a good viewing experience. The food, which was not cheap by any means, was also extremely bland and slightly cold. Not to mention, the wait staff is on the younger side and didn't seem to care about customer service whatsoever. I would for sure recommend this place for teens and kids as it still seems like a hotspot for that age group. As far as anyone older, perhaps not.
