Sundance at Granada is the perfect spot for a pre-show bite! The location couldn't be more convenient if you're heading to a concert at the Granada. While the food isn't high-end fine dining, it's definitely solid comfort food--the Mac 'n Cheese was delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The energy is super fun and gets you hyped for the show[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], plus our waitress was amazingly friendly. Highly recommend stopping by before your next gig!

Looked for a brunch place and found this. The waiter had a a lot of great recommendations and I ended up getting the breakfast tacos with their bbq brisket. And boy was that a great choice, the picture doesn't do it justice. The food came out quick and was definitely fresh. Enjoyed it!

I enjoyed my first experience at Sundown at Granada! We were a group of 6 and arrived at 4 PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately. I'd say that the cocktails are reasonably priced compared to other spots in Dallas. I was impressed by how quickly our food came out. Otherwise, service was pretty standard. I ordered the Spicy Southwestern Quinoa with chicken, which was super delicious and flavorful! I don't have a high spice tolerance, and I felt like it wasn't super spicy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating area is well equipped with fans and water mists to help with the Texas heat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, there's a stage where they host live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would totally come back, especially for their happy hour brunch deals! I mean, how could I pass up $2 mimosas?!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great chill brunch in Dallas with a large patio as well as inside seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ressies were later than I liked so I called and they got us in earlier. We enjoyed the French toast, mimosa bucket(grapefruit), chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, and more. Service was good, people were friendly.

The inside is lacking but they have do have a really good multilevel outdoor patio which is mainly the reason people end up going. The food is decent but they have $2 mimosas and a $12 mimosa carafe so you can't really beat that!

This is a convenient place to grab a bite before a concert at the Granada. The food was okay. The burger was decent but not remarkable. The grilled cheese had promise but not much flavor, only the jam stood out in the flavor profile of the sandwich. The bread, however was nicely done. We sat outside and that was nice and the wait staff was okay. We did not get drink refills without asking

I really enjoyed my brunch experience. Our server, I don't remember her name unfortunately, was very kind and super attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside facing Greenville Ave, 1st floor, close to the entrance. It was nice to be able to see the hustle and bustle on the street while still enjoying our experience at the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend & I ordered the carafe which was perfect for the both of us. We also both ordered the Crab Cake Benedict. It was soo delicious! You could tell the crab cake was made with lots of crab meat and an acceptable amount of fillers. It was fork tender and didn't fall apart. The potatoes were a hidden gem. They were super crispy and the relish on top helped balance it all out. The crab cake itself again was the star and shined very brightly. I will be back just for that! I ordered the crème brûlée to go for a sweet treat later, it's the perfect sweetness but not as smooth as I'd like for a crème brûlée.. Still, very good though.

Food was average. Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance, I was apart of a large group and we ended up seating outside. They have fans however Texas humidity is unmatched.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I spent a weekend in Dallas, and staked out the best places to get mimosas outside. And sundown at Granada popped up. This place is great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty of outdoor seating, as well as some indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a very extensive menu, to include Bruch and dinner offerings. And lots of drink specials. They do two dollar mimosas every day, as well as $12 carafes. The service is very good, or at least in my experience. It was a busy Mother's Day when I went. But the place ran like a well oiled machine. It is right beside the Granada music venue. So it would seem if you were going to a show, that would be the best pre-or post drink place. They have valet parking in a parking lot right up front, but there's also plenty of street parking on the surrounding neighborhood streets. I have the Buddha burger, which is a veggie patty. I wasn't expecting it to be purple, but it was tasty. And the sweet potato fries were just OK. The mimosas were where it's at! Definitely worth a try for brunch or a lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nice to just sit outside and people watch there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My gf and I were looking for a place to visit for brunch. Since it was after 3, we figured we wouldn't have a lot of options. While searching for nearby places, we saw that brunch here didn't end until 4. So we decided to give it try. We made reservations even though I don't think they were needed as the place steady but not extremely busy. Upon arrival, the hostess was nice and asked if we wanted outside or in. Since it was such a beautiful day, we opted to sit outside on the patio. The patio is spacious with wooden high tops. There's also fans which is nice and tv just in case anyone wants to catch a game or two. And great for people watching as well. Once sat, our waiter came over after a few minutes. He was extremely nice and personable! We decided on mimosas of course; a carafe with orange and cranberry juice. The sparkling wine was actually very good alone which was a pleasant surprise. We also started with chips and white queso which was tasty. After a few mimosas we were ready to eat. We ordered the Sundown Burger and the Fried Chicken & Biscuits. The burger and waffle fries were flavorful and cooked well. The Fried Chicken was good but the biscuit a bit on the dry side. Overall, it's a solid spot that we'd definitely visit again!

I went here on a really really cool day after walking in the Martin Luther King Jr. day parade with my sorority sisters, and I want to say that this is my second time at this establishment, but this time the food was so good I had some sort of egg on hollandaise and bread, and it was so good! The service was really good, and our waiter was attentive and the vibes inside it was pretty calm, and we were able to talk to each other and hear each other. No loud music here!

Bloody Mary's & mimosas are great! Especially the $2 mimosas during brunch!! Food good as well. Server was super kind & attentive.

Can we eat dinner at your restaurant on New Year's Eve without going to the show?

    Yes, make a reservation

    Are there metal detectors?

    No there aren't metal detectors.

When is happy hour? Do they have it on Fridays?

Happy hour runs 7 days a week from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Does anyone know if they have Some type of cool air for the terrace? Like those type of fans for outside that blow cool air. Anyone.?

They have fans that blow cool air + mist.

    How much is valet parking?

Once arriving you are welcomed to complimentary bubbly while you wait to be sat. Service here was great for how busy it was. Here is what we ordered - **Starters** Korean Fried Cauliflower: I was the only one that ate this and omg it was really good, it satisfied my cauliflower craving lol 10/10 Truffle Parmesan Frites: these were outstanding 100/10! The freshly grated Parmesan on top was chef's kiss. Tuna and Avocado Roll: this was fresh and paired nicely with the sauce. 10/10 **Entrees** I got the Joey Classic Steak (on accident lol) but I'm not disappointed. The steak was cooked perfectly. The "crispy mashed potatoes" were unexpected lol. They were more like mashed potato eggrolls/flautas, but tasted fine. Id give this plate a solid 8/10. My cousin ordered the New York strip and she had just about the same notes on her dish. 8/10 My other cousin ordered the Steak Ravioli Blanco, she cleared her plate so I'm going to assume that she really liked it lol. 10/10 Lastly our waitress brought out a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating my cousin's bachelorette weekend, this was such a nice gesture, I think it was cheesecake and the flavor was delicious so 10/10

I ended up only ordering a drink and an appetizer because I was so disappointed I didn't want to go further. $23.75 Joey Martini - just a simple dry vodka martini w Kettle One. But the description lured me in with the promise of a fantastic martini with an "extra martini on the side". What I received was a half of a martini with the rest of my martini in a shaker next to it. The martini was fine but nothing special. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it. Go somewhere else - I'm including a pic of the "hummus" reveal so you see what I'm talking about

Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Began with a signature cocktail, The Bracco, frozen, not sweet, refreshing with a delicious punch of grapefruit. Perfect for a hot evening in Dallas! You MUST get the biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade. It's a must. Salty, buttery, and with a sweet/sour tang of good marmalade. GET IT!! Split the wedge salad. Yes, you should split it. It was big! Plenty for two to split as an appetizer easily or you could add some filet to it for an entree. Will do that for lunch. And probably split that too! The giant bacon cubes and quality blue cheese crumbles are my reason for living. Entrees we tried (this time. We'll definitely try more items next visit): got THE crab cake. It is big. More crab than cake, which shows the quality. Wasn't a fan of the butter sauce, I thought it was too heavy for the delicate crab and would just ask for it plain with just some fresh lemon but the cake itself was perfect with jumbo lumps. Came with fries. Fries and dipping sauces were excellent but may ask for a different side option to keep it lighter. My daughter had the miso glazed salmon which came with potato puree with buttermilk....omg the only fault with it is that there wasn't nearly enough, and a jalapeno slaw, which was crispy and creamy with a little kick to it. Perfection! We also tried the side of creamed corn. Not sweet. Definitely savory and not too heavy, which was nice, with a little mild pepper kick. Desserts we took home because we were stuffed which were the carrot cake and the chocolate pie. We'll eat those tonight while watching tv. I have no doubt they will be great too. Definitely make a reservation. They get crowded. It does get noisy as well. Oh, and hopefully you'll have the best server Jemima. She was so sweet, personable, easy to chat with, and made our first time there a wonderful experience. Note to owners....she deserves a raise for being awesome!!! During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. Between the atmosphere, welcoming service, and well-crafted drinks, it's definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in town.
