After I moved house, I had so many rent-a-crates to unpack and return very quickly. I felt overwhelmed and couldn't move two feet without hitting a box, and unpacking by myself was too slow. I contacted Terri again. Terri couldn't come out to personally help me within my limited window of time, but she has fantastic team members. Kammy came to help me, stayed for just under five hours, and we unpacked every rent-a-crate plus all of the cardboard boxes! There is a little left to do in order to make my new place feel like home, but Kammy's help means that 95% of the work is done. I am so pleased with The Chicago Organizer. I've hired organizers in the past, but the majority of them require you to do the organizing with them...and if I had time to organize I won't need an organizer! They also leave my house in perfect condition and then a month later I'm back to where I started. A few months ago I had the genius idea (if I do say so myself) that I'd hire a weekly organizer to slowly get my house in order and then help me maintain it. I did a search on Yelp and beyond and discovered that there are many crazy people in this world who actually like to organize. I'd personally rather get a root canal. After chatting and even meeting with a few organizers I ended up going with The Organized Mama. I liked her personality (totally someone I'd be friends with), she didn't judge me as I took her thru my unorganized house and her hourly rate was inexpensive. Since then she's raised her hourly rate based on demand, but was cool enough to honor her original rate for myself and her other clients. Every Tuesday morning she enters my house and tackles a new room. Some rooms (like the kitchen) take longer than a week, but the wait is well worth it. So far she's worked her magic on my mudroom, kitchen, my daughter's hair accessory area (no joke- the girl has a lot of hair...and bows) and part of my office. She comes for a few hours and then bills me for the time she spent at my house + anything she buys (typically from the Container Store) to keep me organized. I only wish she could stay longer, but understand she has little kids of her own to get home to so will take any time she has. If you happen to be one of those crazy people who like organizing your own you'll absolutely love her blog. The tips and pictures she shares (almost) makes me want to start organizing my house myself, but then I know I can't do half as good of a job as Jessica.

Since the closet was still under construction, there were changes along the way, and Brad was always flexible, accommodating, and helpful throughout the process. Scheduling the installation was also very easy, and they worked around my availability. The installation crew was fantastic--professional, efficient, and respectful of my home. They did a beautiful job and made sure everything was thoroughly cleaned up before they left. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend them!

Edit to add to the owner's response:…read more The owner is a blatant liar. Also, near blind as he doesn't seem to recognize the difference. To correct his lie, they never offered the free replacement. I initially held the remaining payment expecting them to address the issue, but they threatened me with things like filing a lien. So I paid the remainder. I even paid extra to replace the incorrectly installed drawers, which were flat drawers. The second time, they were installed incorrectly again, differently designed shakers. The result is what the photos here show. Extremely irresponsible. BTW, you are the one who did incompetent job and you want to move on without fixing it? What a joke. --- This was our 2nd time working with them. The first time, back in 2020, went very smooth, so we decided to work with them again for our new home. This time it was night and day. It couldn't have been worse. We chose shaker everywhere, but noticed the design draft showed the top drawers flat. The designer told us it was a glitch in their new software, but they went ahead and installed the flat ones anyway. I asked to have it changed and held payment until they fixed it. Instead, they blamed me for an outcome I supposedly approved, and insisted I pay extra to make them shakers. So I did. Then the final result came out like the photo. There's an obvious discrepancy in the width of the cove area (the sloped section between the outer and inner profiles). The designer couldn't even see the problem. The owner never responded at all. I even filed a complaint with the BBB, and they never addressed it. So the BBB closed the case. It's painful to see them treat me like this when I liked them so much 5 years ago. Avoid these crooks if you can.

My shower stall, for example, went from a condition where I thought I might have to replace it, to appearing like it was practically brand new. I have used them twice afterwards for complete cleaning and again encountered hard working women who know what they're doing. They also offer rentals for reusable / eco-friendly boxes in case you don't want to produce waste with paper boxes.
