Uggg. What a stressful project. Nate is tough to deal with. We met him in March. We wanted to get on the list early in the season as we heard he booked up quickly and you will never hear from him. We paid our deposit in March. We made several follow up and were delayed. On August 2, he sent me a text that he was showing up in 3 minutes. Good thing I was working at home. We start talking about the project. Now, he didn't want to do what we asked him to do back in March. Now, it seemed like he wanted to do what was quickest job so he could get his crew to the next site. Mind you, he had my deposit so there was no backing out now. After some back and forth, we agreed on the work needed. The project was supposed to begin on August 6. The next day, August 3rd, Nate sent me a text that the crew was arriving in 3 minutes. I was in a business meeting as it was the middle of the day. Nate asked me to remind the job leader of many tasks as Nate, the boss, wasn't coming to the job site. Now, me, the customer, had somehow become the foreman. These guys made a mess. They wrecked my irrigation system. I planned to move some sprinkler heads due to their work, but in their haste, they just cut buried lines left and right. They moved my AC unit, per Nate's suggestion. They left it crooked and un-leveled. I had to deal with getting it moved back. They broke a gutter downspout and damaged newly planted trees. Their haphazard power washing took paint off my house and garage door (they were trying to clean concrete that they splattered). I have a video of the kid who did the power washing asking an older worker if he should tell me. The older guy told him not to let me know about it. Overall, the concrete looked nice enough, but it was not perfect. There were flaws. Some caused by the workers. For example, one worker turned on the water spigot over fresh concrete. It caused corrosion. Nate promised to fix it, but that never happened. Nate wanted to be paid in full before the work was done. He added a bunch of miscellaneous fees to the bill on the spot. For example, he wanted $350 for a downspout drain. He claimed I sent his worker shopping for it. I did no such thing. His workers damaged ours, but told me not to worry about it because they had one "at the warehouse." They showed up the next day with about $7.00 worth of mismatched PVC to replace it. To add insult to injury, when I was paying the bill, Nate told me to finish installing the drain (which they buried), myself. We had freshly planted trees. Nate's crew leaned a Kubota tractor against them. Further, they laid large metal plates down which sunk in the ground. I took photos and videos throughout the project and incidentally captured what they did to our trees, which were all bent and leaning. I brought it to Nate's attention and his response was, "I'm not a landscaper." All the neighbors warned me about Nate. They suggested that everyone knew Nate by name and continued to use him because there was nobody else in the area. However, everyone had the same story to tell about him. Be prepared. The workers did not clean up. They left pop cans, candy wrappers, garbage, razor blades, and nails everywhere. I had to police the area nightly to clean up. I should have gotten a discount for all the work I had to do. They will ruin your lawn and your neighbors, too. Both of my side neighbors came out talked with his crew multiple times as his workers were not respectful to their properties. I had three big projects lined up for that summer: landscaping, exterior painting, and stamped concrete. We hired Nate first. He was last to start his project and he managed to ruin our landscaping and painting. We had painters, landscapers, deckers, and other contractors out, and he was by far the worst to deal with. I sure hope his concrete lasts and was worth all the stress and aggravation. Yes, the concrete looked nice, but we had to rectify what they broke. I can tell you that the concrete needed to be resealed relatively quickly after installation. read more

So I agree with the other review about the project being pushed back for weeks. However I don't think it's because of wealth. Our house is big and expensive in a big expensive neighborhood and we have been waiting for weeks now. I'll update this review when and if the job ever gets done. Just a heads up if you're looking for someone reliable and quick don't call these guys. Two weeks ago it was that week, then this past week now they said Thursday or maybe Friday. If it were up to me I would cancel with this company altogether. Update: the concrete finally got poured and stamped last summer. It looks pretty good. I'm hoping they'll come back to fix a few flaws (like a random super dark square on the back patio). Other than that an a few other chips it looks good. read more

Go with a different company, especially if you do not live in a very expensive house in a very expensive neighborhood. I have a feeling Nathan treats his wealthy clients different than his less wealthy. Two years ago we hired Stamped Concrete Specialist to instal a stamped concrete patio and lay a brand new driveway. After receiving quotes for similar jobs we went with Nathan because his price was good and he sold us on his workmanship. We scheduled a date for the job. Weeks upon weeks passed and Nathan kept pushing our job back. At first we were understanding because it had rained a little but then the weather was cleared and still no start to our job. We called him a few times and then finally called and said we were half way through the summer and no patio. We discussed going with a different company and then he agreed to start our job. Nathan had asked us about replacing the cracked approach from the street to the sidewalk. We asked if he would just tear it out when they removed the driveway but not fill it in because we were going to lay sod. Nathan said no problem. They ripped out the approach but then filled it with cement. We mentioned that it wasn't supposed to be filled and the guys just kind of dug half the cement out. It was a huge mess. Grass would never grow on it. It looked terrible. We ended up having it fixed a year later by a different company. In laying our driveway they damaged our heavy duty dog fence and then we super rude to us about it. The patio is beautiful but a year and a half later a large chunk and a smaller chunk of patio looked like they had rotted out. We contacted Nathan about this. He apologized and came out and looked at it. He said it usually never happens but plastic from the bag must have been mixed into the cement with the dye and caused the rotting. He promised to fix it. SInce he was out here we asked him if he would quote us on a new front walkway and a new front porch. He took measurements. Weeks passed and no quote. I called him and he had lost our information and asked if I would just measure it. I asked him to come back so I could get the right quote. He never did. We ended up having another (excellent) company do our front walk way and front porch. They came out, quoted the job, and completed the job before Nate came back to fix our damaged patio. Finally we called Nathan again and he sent someone out to fix our patio. The patio is fixed. However the only way for the large hole to be not noticed was for us to pay to have it re-sealed by Nate's company. Nate had quoted us $200 for the re-seal originally. He then tried to up it to $300 over the phone the day they did it. The guy that came out here to actually do the job told us it was a smaller patio than originally thought so they could do it for $200. Like I said the patio is beautiful but dealing with Nathan is not worth it. There are many other companies out there who need the work. Deal with them not this one. read more

Nathan Luth, the owner of this company, is very professional and will do what he can to accommodate you however you need. From the start, he was courteous and helpful. I called to get a quote last summer, to be able to plan accordingly for our new patio. He was helpful then and his prices were fair. My Husband and I called him early (February) to be able to schedule our patio be installed early in the season. Our family was planning on traveling for business for an extensive amount of time and he promised us it would be finished during the time we would be home. Our plans fell through and we had a little more wiggle room, which was good because with all the rainfall we had this year, he had to put the job off a little bit, to catch up on back logged jobs (that had to be put off due to rain-outs). He was easy to reach and always returned my phone calls. I was a little leery at first, because of a negative review I saw on here. I asked him about it and he told me honestly what had happened. If you look at her review, you can see she does say she was happy with his workmanship. So I trusted, it was a miscommunication, and you just can't please everyone all the time. Let me just say, I am not very easy to please, I have high expectations and I had very high hopes for this project. Nathan and his crew delivered. From the beginning when he met with me to go over color and pattern choices. And he always responded when I bothered him with quick silly questions. His crew was very professional and nice, they cleaned their mess completely and the process went great, even though we had rain during the job (go figure, lol). The finished product is AMAZING!!! I get so many compliments and have even invited neighbors over to try and get them to do it too. :-) We love our new patio and I would highly recommend Stamped Concrete Inc. If you are truly unsure of his work and how he treats his clients, let me assure you, we are not located in an 'expensive' neighborhood and he treated us very well. I also encourage you to ask him about any misgivings you may have. The best way to choose someone to do a big job for you is to be honest. The company completed our patio around a newly installed pool. Not only was the work excellent, but the customer service was as well. Communication was great and scheduling was made convenient for us. Nate made sure everything was up to code and met our expectations. Not very professional at all. We contact this company in hopes of getting some concrete around the house done. We spoke with Nate and he asked for the dimensions so he could give us an estimate. We provided him with these and he said he would let us know. Some time went by and we didn't hear from him, so we followed up with him and he had an attitude when speaking with us, and told us, "I'll get back to you when I have time." Then more time went by and never heard back from him. So we reviewed the company and as soon as he saw the review he called 10 minutes later with an attitude, saying that he told us he was too busy to take on the job which was a lie, he never told us that, he took our measurements, and was supposed to give us an estimate, that doesn't take that long to do. Then he went onto facebook and posted and untrue statement about us and another company that worked on our home and our phone number. We only wanted an estimate for the job we didn't need his services that day! If you don't want work then take your name out of the database if you're too busy. I called months ago and got a voice mail saying, "We are booked out 8 weeks but will return your call within in 72 hours" 72 hrs. came and went and NEVER received a return call. I called again and got the same VM, I left yet another message and NEVER got a call returned!! I will NOT use this company if their business is so good that they have the worst customer service and cannot return any phone calls. This is rude and unprofessional!! Nate and team did a great job on the duel projects I put in front of him. Though there had to be a +/- on the timing, he guaranteed that the job would be complete before the end of the season. The design was a custom patio around the (2) doorwalls of our walkout, plus a terraced circular patio with serpentine path to our deck. The upper patio also had a 4' fire pit. Once work commenced, the first team came out to do the formwork, which took a day. The second work day (after several days of rain) was the pour and stamping. Great look on the Yorkstone detail with border. Final day was the acid wash border and seal coat. Found all the teams to be friendly, courteous and professional. A definite enhancement to our domicile. read more

I hired Nathan to redo my driveway last year. (Like Karie M's experience, he pushed the job back several times before actually starting.) He told me the work came with an 18 month warranty, which is also clearly stated on my receipt. Six months after he completed the job, three large cracks appeared in the driveway. I called him to ask him to come fix the cracks, and he said he would come take a look. He did not show up. I called him again, and he again promised to come out, but did not. This happened a third time. Since that point, he has stopped answering my calls. I have called him at least 20 times, left messages on his machine and with his associates. No response. I am about to commence legal action, but I wanted to make sure anyone out there who is considering going with this contractor has this information so you can spare yourself the ridiculous headache I'm going through. read more
