We recently got our roof done by them. So far no complaints, priced well. Not sure how long the roof will last, but we will see. Everyone was friendly, they had lots of helpers and they did it super fast. So far all is well. The owner is a little pushy, but that's his job right? Was a friendly guy overall just pushy and could tell he was really trying to sell a new roof to us. In which he did but we needed one bad. If you are contemplating hiring Rock Solid Exteriors in Mt. Clemens, Michigan for work, PLEASE read the back of the very long fine print contract. Better yet have an attorney look at the contract. I was negligent and naive and deeply regret it. Rock Solid owns you once you sign the contract and the 48 hours cancellation option passes. Fact - if you want to terminate the contract, whether they have started the job or not, you will be required to pay one third of the contract price. They will also want you to sign a non-disclosure so that you will not be able to say anything disparaging about their company. Luckily I was able to get this clause voided. How many others have been silenced. Thinking of taking legal action, you agree to pay all of their legal fees when you sign the contract. At $500.00 an hour and up, even if you win, you will lose financially. There is a list of excuses for not doing the job in a timely manner, and they are not afraid to use them. There are a multitude of excuses on the back of the contract for not doing the work and they used many of them on my job. Our contract did not show a completion date, which means they can string you out indefinitely and you have no recourse. I paid my one third termination fee and went with another contractor. Stay away from the company. They did my roof three years ago. I had to sue them because my roof was installed incorrectly. Two independent roofing inspectors told them to replace my roof that is was done wrong. One that they paid for and refused to do. The savings grace was Owens Corning stood by the warranty and their insurance company paid the difference. The legal fees were expensive to get something corrected that was done wrong. Both Levi and Marc should not be trusted. They told us they were filing bankruptcy in the next 60 days. this was back in June of 2025 trying to get us to settle for pennies. read more

I paid top dollar for my siding and they left a mess all over the place ( nails and siding scrap), corners not capped, trim not fitted properly, they broke the knob off my water spigot, and my gutters leak. I have been waiting for quite some time for my water spigot to be repaired and going on several weeks for the gutters to be repaired. Dont waste your money as I did!!!! The salesman Brian was fabulous to deal with. He helped us find an excellent finance company who made the whole process effortless. We had our whole roof redone. We tried for months to get the roof we wanted with the look we wanted and Rock Solid made it happen. The roof is great and the workers were respectful. I appreciate the professionalism this company has. Any questions we had were answered. We also were able to change our order and add gutters at the last minute. Don't go with this company if you aren't prepared to be ignored. My husband and I have tried to contact them for literally months and have never heard back. We had our roof & gutters done by rock solid last year, and the job still isn't finished. Missing flashing, gutters that somehow clog and overflow even WITH the leaf guard, two missing downspouts, and an inspector has NEVER come to check and sign off on the workmanship. Communication was lacking, to say the least, and that should have been a red flag. We're paying this company 26k, and the job isn't completed. Save yourself a year-long headache and hire someone else. read more

I was very happy with my experience with Rock Solid Exteriors. First I met Levi when he came out (in the rain) to look at my roof and provided a great estimate. Next I spoke with Tammie in the office to get the process moving forward. My project got scheduled quickly and within a week I was meeting the Brian, Luke and the rest of the team at my home. The roofing team did a great job of protecting my patio and landscape. Each time I came outside to see what work was going on, Brian answered any questions I had. Once they were done they cleaned up and as I walked the yard with them and each time I asked a question or pointed something out they patiently answered all questions. When I asked if they could take "one more pass" with the magnet for nails they said no problem and did another sweep. Finally, today I met Jeff when he and Luke came back to walk the property and answer any additional questions I had. We had our driveway torn out and replaced with new concrete from the beginning of the project I asked for a specific angle poured so my truck would fit after asking four times to alot for that angle prior to the pour I was blown off day of pour I was told " It's to late now" the driveway turned out beautifully, But every time I park my truck I'm reminded of their lack of willingness to work in my request, I'm not happy! read more

We placed an order for siding with Rock Solid Exteriors, we had to wait several months to even get the siding installed, the first group of installers did not speak English, they did a terrible job and all of the siding had to be removed and reinstalled. Once the siding was reinstalled, we had several issues with trim and the way the siding was laying against each other, I was informed that after a year this would look so much better, well it does not! Then we had the gutters installed, nothing but problems, the gutter guy came out several times and could not figure out why the gutters were leaking, this still has not been resolved and that person has disappeared and has not returned any of my calls and/or text messages. Then they sent out another person, they stated that is was an issue with the drip edge and wanted to trim it from the shingles, not a chance I was going to let them do that. The roof was replaced in 2012 and we had no issues with the previous gutters leaking. Then this winter my daughter was having an issue with water collecting in her window in the track, come to find out the person who caulked around the trim caulked the screens to the trim and now the drain holes are all blocked. It has been one problem after another, I would not recommend this company to anyone, they use subcontractors for all of the jobs, most of the people I dealt with while this was being installed are no longer with Rock Solid Exteriors. read more

Worst Contractor Experience EVER!! We purchase the top of the line roof available. It was poorly installed and what should look like a new roof looks like it was installed by fifth graders. Who probably could do a better job. Customer service has disappeared and Owens Corning's Guarantee is so complicated and requires I pay another roofer to remove shingles to send to them. I do not recommend this company and their third party crews. Find a real roofing company and avoid the glitz of this fail. read more

Company does not have you best interest! I previously worked there and received and still receive calls from customers stating they have issues that have not been addressed they have suppliers contacting them that materials have yet to be paid for. I myself have not been paid for services provided and when I contact the company ( upper management & owner) about this they tell me I will be paid. Don't take my word for it talk to the many unhappy current customers with there timelines on getting work completed some have been dealing with project for nearly 2 years, there lack of communication whenever they contact the office and the lack of concern from upper management and even the owner! If I could leave less than a one star I certainly would. Anyone that has had work done or has worked for them would advise you don't work with them. There are many others out there going back to years ago when they went by the name Built Solid , which shut down to begin what is now Rock Solid Exteriors. Just do yourself a favor and look back at reviews about CFO and how he is difficult to work with that should paint a bigger picture of what's soon to be exposed about the unconventional work practices of this company. When your working for them your the best, the moment you leave your a bad person and are accused of many things. This ends my rant for now , I just feel that since they work with the public people have the right to know. Lastly, get a release of lien if you do decide to work with them. Our gutters were not in great shape. It got to the point where I couldn't see out of my office window anytime it rained at all. Rock Solid Exteriors were friendly, cost-effective and helpful. We had to wait much longer than I anticipated but chalk that up to pandemic delays. If I could give this company less than one star I would. The complete lack of communication starts at the very top and runs throughout the entire company. They will not take responsibility for their managements poor decisions, refusing to give an honest apology (one was given AFTER it was stated it was deserved). Had the issues ended when the job was completed I could have just paid my bill and been done with them. The major issue I had was when someone in management called me and was verbally aggressive with me over issues a completely different homeowner is having, furthermore showing the lack of communication in the company. I withheld final payment in hopes to have an actual conversation with someone, not a back and forth via email and that never happened. I received multiple calls in a 24 hr period demanding payment, but couldn't get a call back when I needed to know what was going on with my siding installation. My emails went unreturned until once again they reached out demanding payment and threatening to put a lien on my home. All I wanted was for them to actually apologize and mean it for the actions of their employees and to be accountable for what happened. All they were worried about was a 5 star rating. You can't maintain a 5 star rating when management calls clients over issues on other clients installation problems, quite aggressively I will add. Warning: This is a LONG one. If I had been asked in April what rating I would give Rock Solid, I would have said 5 stars. Anthony, my sales guy, was fantastic. My roof install went great, my windows went great, (which is why they get 2 stars) then came the siding and things took a drastic turn. First, it took over a month to side my tri level, half brick home, with no tear off, just an overlay. The crew would only work a couple hours each day and then take off, and when I brought it up to RS I got one story from them and a completely different story from the crew. This went on for the first 2 and a half weeks, then for the last week and a half a full crew finally showed up, but the craftmanship was rushed and a lot of mistakes were made in an effort to hurry up and finish. I had already had Joe (the project manager) out after the first week when I was concerned about the work, and I was labeled a "complaining wife" and told to wait until everything was done before I made any judgements, so I did. On the last day of the siding, I pointed out a few issues I had, and asked the crew leader about caulking around my door trim and windows in the brick. He got pissed since he was ready to be done with the project and got rude with me, to the point I told him to go ahead and leave and I would just have Joe come out and look and confirm the problems. Joe proceeded to blow off my texts and requests until I reached out to a separate contractor to do the caulking around my doors because I got tired of being ignored and I just wanted it done. Shockingly, I got a call from the office shortly after that and Joe finally decided to come and see what was going on. The first thing he told me when he showed up was "he wasn't happy with me" for reaching out to another contractor, like I was a child acting out. I then pointed out the (obvious) mistakes made, like slanted siding, the areas on my porch that looked like a funhouse due to incorrectly installed trim, the lack of caulking ANYWHERE, and just a lot of small but very visible mistakes. He agreed with me, told me he had fired the crew that did my house due to the crew leader going off on me, and he would personally come out and fix everything. However, I made the mistake of mentioning what my husband thought of the work, and he proceeded to tell me "if your husband was so good at siding, he would be doing that instead of driving a truck and make a lot more money". Cool. Real professional. The next day Mike and Joe called and wanted my payment in full. I paid, less a $1,000 until the mistakes were fixed. That was July 8th. I had to text several times about the fixes and was told "someone would be coming soon" until the crew leader I was told had been fired showed up on a random Sunday (now the 18th of July). He told me Joe was supposed to fix the issues on the house, but then called him and said if he wanted to get paid for the job, he needed to come out a fix it. He did apologize, and was easy to work with that day, but I got no heads up that he was coming from RS. While I was showing him what I showed Joe, a piece of brand-new siding FELL OFF MY HOUSE. He said he would be back then next day to fix everything, which he was. He came back Monday and fixed everything I requested except for a single piece of trim that he said RS didn't give him. I texted Joe that day and said I was very happy now that everything had been fixed (which only took a few hours total), and I was just waiting on that piece of trim. He then spent 2 more weeks ignoring my texts until Amy (who is very nice and helpful) from the office reminded me of my outstanding balance, and I explained the trim piece. It was finally fixed on the 25th of August (thanks to Amy), which is why I'm just now putting up my review. Does my house look beautiful now? Yes. Did I have to essentially be a Karen to get that to happen? Also yes, which I hate. I have tons of pictures and receipts, but I think this review is enough to make my point. read more

In April 2020 we got a heavy storm with major hail. In my neighborhood most of the homes had serious damage. Some more than others. In my case I had roof, siding and window damage. After talking to my neighbors a few days later, I was given the phone number for Rock Solid as some of them had agreements with the company Once I called I was called promptly by Nathan H. A representative of the company. He came over took a look at the damage and took some pictures. Explained the complete process and what to expect. After some discussions and calling my insurance company Rock Solid literally took over the process. I only needed to call a few times to verify minor issues with the Insurance company. The employees that were In charge on ordering and schedule the repairs were great. I was kept in the loop with the status of the delivery and ordering of the materials. Even during the national lockdown because of the pandemic. From the delivery of the material, to the different teams that came over to do the repairs, the outcome was better than I expected. Secondly- they did the job in a very reasonable time frame. I had my siding done last August but waited to do this review to see how things went over time.
