Always a great experience here before/ during and after Covid! Out door seating and indoor seating / menus changes but the brisket sandwich seems to be a consistent and it is my favorite! Staff is always helpful and will offer beer pairings to the meals. It is a casual setting great stop after being on a hot all day!

If you are within 30 miles of the Standard Gastropub this is a worthwhile trip for dinner or lunch. Summer is high tourist season in Maine so plan your excursion accordingly because this place was packed but we were a small party so we're able to get seating at the bar. Not sure if they take reservations . It is a modern low light ambiance in the eve; noise level was medium. The crowd was mostly 25 years and up; not best suited for toddlers or babies. There maybe outside seating being constructed but on the day we went there was none. I expected pub food but I was just amazed by my brisket sandwich. Best brisket I have had outside of Texas hands down. If I wasn't so stuffed I would have had another one.... it was that good! We also ordered the hamburger entree which got a big thumbs up. And the Brussel sprouts were a great crispy (although a tad too sweet for me) texture. The fries were just right to accompany the sandwiches and you can supersize them for a larger portion size. Regional Beer on draft as well as a slew of bottles and cans that are displayed in large refrigerator along the side wall. Pick your poison! The DIPA recommended was very good accompaniment with the food. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely will head back there for that brisket sandwich again. I am going to miss lunch so that I can have two! Highly Recommended!

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and best of all delicious eats! My hubs had a burger and my friend and I shared the brussle sprouts and poutine!!!!!! Omg holy moly yummy. Serious flavor and cooked just right. I highly recommend this spot. Their menu, I believe, changes daily.

This place is SO. COOL. My partner and I have stopped here a few times, as we typically go to Pleasant Mountain to ski, and this is a great stop for some food. First off, Standard's venue is an old gas station which has been gutted out and transformed into a small, casual, and modern establishment. There is a small bar, window seating, and small tables for patrons to sit at. Along one large wall, there are coolers filled with local beer, cider, wine, and seltzers for patrons to purchase, whether they are eating in or taking out. The food changes weekly, though, they do keep some things frequently on their menu. I have tried the fried chicken sandwich, the poutine (if you are eating it yourself-get the small portion because it's still huge), a miso mac n cheese, corn dip (which I'm not a huge fan of corn, but this was fantastic), and steak sandwich. Everything is house-made and fresh. Again, because the menu changes weekly and because of the quality of food, I get excited to see what is on the menu to try something new. Lastly, the service is always top-notch and friendly. Each time we have been here, the service is attentive and we always end up chatting with the servers. I highly recommend Standard Gastropub for a casual but fun experience if you are in the Bridgton area!

We stopped by on the way to North Conway, NH. We were a party of four and ate outside. The staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly. I had the smash burger and was very pleased with the flavors and freshness of the the bun and ingredients. I was also fortunate enough to take a couple bites of the chicken sandwich, which was cooked perfectly...nice a crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. This place has an incredible beer menu. We didn't order any this time, but I was impressed.

Great food. Exceptional beer selection. Great service. Dim lighting. Good music. Comfortable seating.

It's been 7 years since I last visited this restaurant and time has proven that things get better with age. My pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the fries with special sauces were really good. Just as I remembered. The beer selection boggles your mind-if you eat inside your meal is served adjacent to a huge cooler full of a variety of craft and imported beers. Out door seating is also available. Our wait staff was friendly and efficient. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by.

I liked it in here, for what it was. Stopped in here while wandering around Bridgton and popping into anyplace that was open for exploring. This is an actual gas station, which is cool. There is a small bar area, and some tables. As others mentioned, there are a ton of beers to look through in their coolers, but you can't open them in the pub - a little bizarre. Though luckily, they had items on draft! Including Substance! Yay! The staff here is amazing. Super friendly - they greeted us warmly when we walked in the door and continued to have great conversations with us throughout our visit. I got the special, which was housemade chips with a sauce - it was super duper salty. I really couldn't eat the chips. Sorry! My boyfriend got the burger, which he said was decent, if a little overcooked. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, and we're just used to being spoiled by our Portland options. I'd certainly come back and try more menu items!

We picked this place after viewing a couple menus In the area and thought this was a good option.. so let's start with the good things. They were open for curbside service and it did not take very long. The staff was very helpful.. The French fries and goddess dressing were delicious, fries crunchy not greasy. The Brussels sprouts were tasty but a little soggy and a fairly small portion. Speaking of small portions the local green salad was $5.00 and was a big disappointment. It was just a couple pieces of organic lettuce and nothing else. The dressing was kind of bland as well. We took I it to the lake for a picnic. It was takeout but no utensils or napkins, luckily I had a spork with me but my friends were eating there lettuce with no utensils. I am sure this will improve with time but they could definitely make the portions a tad larger for the price. The chicken and burger were fine. Looking at the other reviews I wonder if it was just not one if there better days .

This caused some frustration among staff, and perhaps the few other patrons. One table next to us had two very unruly children and one teenager who was like us, quiet and polite and simply trying to get through the experience. Had it been any of the four of us adults we'd have taken our food to go to get those kids out of there. Sadly, management didn't suggest they leave. We nearly had one of our three children melt down because she's sensitive to those situations. As I said, six of our seven meals were good, but it was Father's Day and the one dad in our group didn't care for mustard BBQ. We paid for it and got a different style to take home, but that ended up being a disappointment too (too much garlic to suit his taste). Again, our server did the best she could given the circumstances, but we were only in town for a few days and can't commit to trying them again.

She ordered $18 pasta dish with a garlic sauce according to the menu with basil tomatoes and mozzarella. She was very a large mound of angel hair with a thin watery tomato sauce. Tasted like spaghettios and was served cold. Server took it back to microwave (yum. Microwaved spaghettios). She also brought a teaspoon of the advertised basil. My friend was disappointed and could not eat her meal. Food was sent back with nothing else being delivered. They took $9 off her bill for a meal should could not eat. Server did not handle this well. It was a group of 9 , but still we should be able to dine out together.

This time we brought the whole family for dinner. I'd recommend reservations on weekends since it was packed, but we got seated right away because we planned ahead. Our waitress was top-notch -- high energy, charming, attentive. I'd give her 6 stars if I could! She read our crew well and adapted to each individual at the table -- a skill that clearly came from experience, and it served her (and us) well. Everything we had was great: cocktails, appetizers, dinner -- not a bad thing on the table. But the standouts for me were the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Spicy Shrimp Shio Ramen. For drinks, the seasonal Crazy (whiskey, Amaro Montenegro, beet, cayenne, lemon, egg white) and the Veruca Salt (tequila, coconut, avocado, pineapple, lime) were both incredible. I loved them so much I'm making a special trip back to town during my stay just to have them again ;) Bravo, State Lunch! You've got a fan for life. So, we decided to sneak over here after a busy morning at the lighthouse with our toddler for a nice, filling lunch before a later flight home. We must've gotten lucky on a Sunday bc our wait for three people was about 15-20 minutes quoted and we spent 10 minutes walking the block to entertain our toddler, came back to check-in and our table was ready! yay! We had a great table in the corner by the window which was excellent with our toddler. Our server, Brian, was wonderful and super friendly. Menu isn't huge but, has enough stuff that should be able to please most. We chose a small fry with the daily dip which was almost like a mayo-based honey mustard dijon and was delicious, with ketchup and vinegar for dipping. Fries were crispy and delicious. We got the green salad and the Cuban to split and loved both. The sandwich was delicious and the green salad was light and refreshing with some really yummy herbs on top to include fennel which isn't usually on a salad but I loved the taste for this one, worked perfectly with the dressing. My husband ordered their house-made cherry soda and let me tell you, best cherry soda of my life! We ordered two bc I drank about half of it. They have a charming outdoor patio area with about 3-4 other tables. Charming spot - def. recommend! Wait can get super long - by the time we left they were quoting over an hour for a table since it's smaller inside and large parties can take up almost all the spaces.
