Huevos Rancheros

Stopped in for brunch on the way back to ME from Ice Castles in NH. The parking lot was packed but the restaurant is bigger inside than you might think. We were seated right away. The hostess and wait staff (several stopped by our table) were friendly. My coffee cup never went dry. The Eggs Florentine and Huevos Rancheros were both delicious and plentiful. I was incredibly jealous when I saw someone's creme brulee french toast come out. It turned numerous heads - we can leave it at that! Wow. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, to be honest. Very positive experience and I will be back.

The service was awesome as usually! The brunch menu is delicious! Clam and haddock plate was fresh and melted in your mouth. Loved the eggs Beni and side of framers hash.

Fresh salad with roasted chicken
Carolyn A.

I stopped in here after a hike via a recommendation from locals. I sat at the bar, which was well stocked, friendly and welcoming. On the server's recommendation, I tried the salad with roasted chicken and it was great. Fresh veggies, dressing on the side, excellent chicken and a large portion. Everything the folks around me had looked good also. Pretty standard tavern fare, and they've got a few specials every day. I can't speak to the table service, since I sat at the bar. The space itself is very old -time tavern. Dark wood, small tables, cozy bar. Easy parking. Around $25-$30 for a cocktail and entree salad, with tip. I'd recommend it if you are passing thru or local.

Owner's special,twin beef tenderloins

We always get a great meal here. Staff is friendly and attentive. If you get there early you might be lucky to get a seat at the bar ! I got the owners special which was delicious. Two beef tenderloins with Gorgonzola butter, rice pilaf and green beans. I took half home for lunch the next day . My guy got the prime rib which he couldn't finish . Both dinners were delicious.

Turkey Reuben was delicious. Ribs were great - generous portions. Service was friendly. Wish they served Coke products.

They have outdoor tables if you're traveling with a dog - the place is right across from Reny's Department Store and is easy to spot with its bright yellow color. Service was friendly and they kindly provided a water bowl for our miniature poodle (even though we did not ask for it). We devoured the chicken lumpia (spring rolls), the pancit bihon (Filipino noodles), and the Filipino curry dish (which was delicious). The yakitori skewers were also tasty for lunch. Overall, we would visit this place again! It was just a delightful surprise in Bridgton, ME. Who knew that you could find awesome Filipino food in the Lakes region of Maine?

They were just so kind and easygoing. Great customer service and I loved her red pants. I would almost go back just based on the service. The food was good. Not amazing, but great for a winter evening. The lumpia was fresh and tasty. The rice was huge! Portions were big. The food was good. All of it seemed fresh and I can appreciate that! We passed on desert but the dessert case was a tease. We will be back for more.

Unfortunately, though most of our food was delicious (best buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever…read morehad!), we came in just after a storm and the restaurant's internet had been out. This caused some frustration among staff, and perhaps the few other patrons. One table next to us had two very unruly children and one teenager who was like us, quiet and polite and simply trying to get through the experience. Had it been any of the four of us adults we'd have taken our food to go to get those kids out of there. Sadly, management didn't suggest they leave. We nearly had one of our three children melt down because she's sensitive to those situations. As I said, six of our seven meals were good, but it was Father's Day and the one dad in our group didn't care for mustard BBQ. We paid for it and got a different style to take home, but that ended up being a disappointment too (too much garlic to suit his taste). Again, our server did the best she could given the circumstances, but we were only in town for a few days and can't commit to trying them again.

She ordered $18 pasta dish with a garlic sauce according to the menu with basil tomatoes and mozzarella. She was very a large mound of angel hair with a thin watery tomato sauce. Tasted like spaghettios and was served cold. Server took it back to microwave (yum. Microwaved spaghettios). She also brought a teaspoon of the advertised basil. My friend was disappointed and could not eat her meal. Food was sent back with nothing else being delivered. They took $9 off her bill for a meal should could not eat. Server did not handle this well. It was a group of 9 , but still we should be able to dine out together.

The wine pairing is our favorite addition to the chefs menu and our sommelier was lovely and knowledgeable, we were able to purchase bottles of wine that we loved from our pairings. Each course was superb- fresh, and l plate-lickingly good- has us thinking it can't get better than this- but it did. We travel from Massachusetts every year just to eat at 12- and it has never disappoints. Stand out dishes are the lobster roll - lobster melted in our mouths, the sausage (who knew sausage and fine dining went together?!?), and the seared scallops- perfect sear on the outside and tender on the inside. I wish I had pictures to share, but we ate them so fast! Needless to say, we enjoyed our meal.

Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. We got the 5-course prix-fixe without the wine pairing and our table was cleaned promptly after each course. The food came quickly, but not rushed. The restaurant is a little further outside of the busy old port area so it's much more calm and quiet, making for a pleasant evening. Here's what we had: Asparagus (everyone gets it) Garde manger: green salad and tuna crudo Appetizers: mushroom consommé and mussels Main course: halibut and New York strip Dessert: ice cream sandwich and chocolate tart We also ordered the house rolls which are definitely worth it! Great place for special occasions!

Close to more bars for extra drinks, easy to run into other friends. Also, it's a beautiful spot with outdoor seating in the warmer months. We opted to sit outside and enjoyed khao soi, katsu pork sandwich, and the honey soft serve. The portions are generous, as we were able to share and have leftovers. Each plate had so many great textures and flavors. We did experience a long wait between ordering, getting food, and receiving the check. It was a busy summer night so I wasn't upset, but do not plan on having a quick meal here. Get cozy, get an extra drinks and enjoy your time here.
