I contacted a couple of companies to get quotes for installing insulation in 23-year-old home. Standard Insulating Company was far & away the best to work with. I was very pleased with everything from the initial contact to meeting with the salesman to the installers. They installed additional insulation to get it back up to standard, sealed gaps, and installed a zippered stir covering in my attic. All at a very reasonable price. We needed a dehumidifier and insulation installed in our crawl space underneath the home due to excessive moisture. Marc came out and examined the area and explained out different options very thoroughly, as well as provided pictures of what was occurring down in our crawl space. We had had previous estimates complete prior to Standard Insulating Company coming out and every other company it seemed they were trying to upsell what was needed. Marc was very honest and we were quoted a very good price compared to the other estimates received. They were also able to complete the installation within a week and a half of the time the estimate was given and had excellent customer service at the time of installation. Best, most sincere experience I've ever had with a contractor!!! I'm not one to usually review anything, but David who owns Standard was fantastic. He is the guy I talked to and worked with when it came time to add insulation to my attic. And to me it was pretty neat to be able to work with the owner of a company instead of some sales guy. I was worried it would be some high pressure, "you MUST buy this today or if you don't add this product you will be sorry" type of sales pitch. It was nothing like that. David seemed very sincere and honest, he actually told me there were things I didn't need to do that I had planned on doing. So when he could've made a sale on something, he advised it would be better to take another route. He took the time to explain how things worked, it wasn't just a "let me take a look and here is your price" which I really appreciated. His prices seemed more than fair and afterwards I was very comfortable with my decision. When it comes to my house, my family, and where we live everyday, I don't want to skimp on bad service. When it came time to install the insulation, his guys were very friendly, professional, and clean. After they were done, they left the house just the same with no messes at all. And months later, I am saving money on my heating and cooling bill, so this service will definitely pay for itself in no time! I couldn't be happier.
