Shortly after starting, the owner went on a two-week vacation without officially assigning me as acting manager, despite clearly expecting me to take on that role. Which I did very well except that During her absence, another employee--who was clearly resentful of my position--sent the owner misleading reports about me. I documented everything with photos and proof, but none of it seemed to matter. When the owner returned, I was abruptly fired on Father's Day weekend with no explanation. After an emotional conversation, I was told I could return--but now only on commission, not salary. Despite that, she continued to expect me to manage the shop in her absence (which was more than half the time). Soon after, a new employee started--apparently hired to replace me. I later found out he was being paid less and didn't have legal work authorization. While I don't blame him, it was clear the owner was trying to cut corners at any cost. What's worse, she has expressed disturbing views, including racist comments about Black customers. As the husband of a Black woman and the father of mixed-race children, this was beyond offensive. Her actions and words were deeply hurtful and unacceptable. Ultimately, I was told to stop coming in because there was "no work," yet the other mechanic was still allowed to wait around for jobs. I was then told to remove my tools from the shop with no acknowledgment of her promises or wrongdoing. The level of mistreatment I experienced was not just unprofessional--it was abusive. I would strongly caution any mechanic or customer against doing business here. This shop does not value honesty, fairness, or basic human decency.

My 2019 Hyundai wouldn't start, even after several jump start attempts (wasn't the battery) and had to be towed there around 3 PM on a Wednesday- already a stressful and annoying situation. I was honestly expecting that they wouldn't even get to checking out my car that afternoon- but I was so pleasantly surprised. Hugo called me about an hour after the car arrived and was incredibly friendly and professional. He took the time to explain the issue in detail, gave me a clear and fair price for the parts and labor (i googled to compare) and made sure I understood everything before moving forward. The passenger side was fine, freezing cold as it should be. After they looked at the car, they told me it was the AC condenser unit and it would cost $1,500. I KNEW THEY WERE LYING. THEY THINK WE/YOU ARE DUMB. First, this car only has 50,000 miles on it and Infiniti's don't break like that. Most importantly, if the AC condenser unit was shot, ALL OF THE AIR COMING FROM THAT UNIT WOULD BE WARM AND THAT WARM AIR WOULD BE SENT THROUGH THE ENTIRE CAR - NOT JUST ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. I took it to another shop, they hooked the car up to their computer and recalibrated the temperature gauge system. $125! The AC is perfect. I have the estimate from Rodriguez that shows they wanted to replace the AC unit with the cost and I have the work order from the other place which shows the work that was done. BE WARNED!
