Some highlights: 1) Charged us a per-stem fee when asked if he could store 2 buckets of flowers in their walk-in overnight as we were doing our own flowers to save money. We could only afford a 35 person wedding and some of our guests couldn't afford to stay at the lodge so were next door in the campground. 2) About 10 minutes before our ceremony, I was sitting at the bar with a friend and my brothers, ordered a single drink. Christian made sure to swoop by and tell the server that what I ordered wasn't included in our drinks package and should be charged to my room. A friend said "No, I'll pay cash" in disgust. 3) Staff there seemed depressed, and at one point one of them pitifully informed us it was because working for him was such a nightmare. He was intentionally rude in the most spiteful ways and an angry person in general. Wrote some reviews that he somehow figured out how to get removed in other places, but he would respond to facts like these by accusing you of being mentally unstable. No, Christian, we're just not rich and maliciously bitter. I'm not writing this review because I'm mad at you, even - I just genuinely don't want other people to have their special day ruined because they weren't wealthy enough to make you happy. We weren't bridezillas or something - we planned a simple, small wedding with what budget we could and explained this early on in our only skype call, and there was maybe 4-5 emails exchanged after that. We tried to be exceedingly easy to work with because we knew we couldn't afford all the bells and whistles, and in exchange we felt punished for not being rich enough to enjoy our wedding at the lodge my wife got to play at as a child.

This is really Montana at its best with Big Sky's hospitality and a deep sense of hospitality. Our cowboy Jordan checked us in the only remaining executive suite, after my brother in law kindly offer that room to us. The room is super spacious and comfortable with the rustic charm of western comfort! Their Wi-Fi was not working properly and Jordan got it fixed in a minute. Their blanket service is fantastic with super clean and individual plastic cover. Overall this is by far the best "Best Western" I have had the chance to visit. Of the 4 nite reservation we stayed only 2. No cancellations were allowed. No Veterans discount. The lodge is vintage 1960's and has been updated several times. Our room was small tho we had a patio door that is advertised as private. People walked the patio in route to the outside pool or restaurant. The walls remain paper thin and conversations in the adjacent rooms were pretty clear. The room had modern amenities. A very quiet wall AC. The bathroom had a shower, no tub. Staff was very polite & respectful. I left a set of my keys in the room when checking out. Never got a call inquiring if they were mine. Continental breakfast was typical western fare. Assorted fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, fried potato's. bacon, juices & muffins, assorted juices aplenty. We were happy. Plenty of seating in the mountain, lake view dinning room. We did not try the dinner menu nor visit the separate bar decorated in early western style. Nearest town is Ronan a few miles away. I have difficulty understanding the high price. We've recently stayed at nicer hotels in better locations at 1/3 the price. I won't be going back.
