He came when he said he would and was able to contact the manufacturer and arrange a technician appointment so there wouldn't be wasted time waiting for a return call. Together they solved a gas pressure issue and using a too high MERV (13 ) filter that restricted air flow allowing the furnace to burn too hot. This caused a lockout shutting the furnace down. I highly recommend him to solve your problem much more reasonable than the big firms. He is someone you can trust.

When our furnace started to act like Stanley's furnace, and because Riley & Craven had just serviced our furnace the month before, we called to speak to a technician. We were treated beyond rudely by a woman named Christine, whose idea of customer service is actually shouting hysterically and insulting a customer of 50 years. I guess one oil delivery from another source negates 50 years of being a customer, which may be your business policy but which is a horrible moral policy. But, just as well. We called the other supplier, and he will be here tomorrow, and their customer service department - after just one delivery - treated us politely and professionally and told us they appreciated our business. I will never go back to R&C, and I will never recommend them to anyone ever again.

Buying a mini-split system is an incredibly difficult process. The Mass Save rebate system is very…read moredifficult to navigate. I got quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors and the pitch and price was exactly the same - hour long presentation and a $30k cost. However, what each vendor tells you is that IF you qualify a $10k rebate is available and your net cost is $20k. Essentially the rebate is a scam - it just gives contractors the ability to inflate the prices and use the rebate to make the system sound cheaper than it really is. I finally met with McIver and he was able to simplify the entire process. He is not a Mass Save contractor. So he does not work the rebate, just offers a strait-up cost to install the system. When he gave me his quote, I quickly figured out that Dan McIver was an honest man and that the whole Mass Rebate program was a scam. His quote with the similar equipment and the same number of mini-splits was $13,500. I hired him for the job and they started within a week. One of my biggest concerns was esthetics - I was worried about too many refrigeration lines running around the outside of the house. Our house is a rental property in Cape Cod that had a lot of charm to it and we did not want to ruin the integrity of it. Dan came up with a brilliant solution and was able to run most of the lines through the basement to minimize the lines on the outside of the house - we were so pleased with this solution. His team did a fantastic job building out the system - they were clean and finished the project on the timeline he quoted. The work was high quality!! Net is that Dan took a very complicated buying process and made it simple and affordable. He is highly recommended for the quality of his work, pricing and his honest and straightforward approach!

As customers, we are entitled to know exactly what we are being charged for, yet no additional information was provided. The estimate remained vague and generic, offering no transparency or detail. Because of this lack of clarity and unwillingness to provide basic information about their own quote, we chose not to move forward with this company.
