I had such a great experience at Paola's Flowers and Events! I originally ordered what I thought was a bouquet online... only to receive two dozen roses in a box, completely unarranged. I quickly realized this was NOT something I could fix myself. So I walked into the flower shop and said, "I need help, and this might be a strange request." The guy at the desk immediately said, "Let me guess... you ordered flowers, they came in a box, and now you don't know what to do with them?" He was absolutely right. He opened the box, took a look, and told me to come back in 15 minutes. When I returned, he had beautifully arranged the roses in a vase, added baby's breath and other touches, and completely elevated the whole look. And the best part? He only charged me $25. Totally worth it. Amazing service, quick turnaround, and they truly saved the day. Lesson learned...no more online flower orders for me. I'll definitely be coming here from now on! read more

I decided to order the Box of Joy for my friend's birthday. I ordered the premium edition online for $10 extra. My friend was very happy with the flowers. It was filled with autumn notes and perfect for the season. I did call them twice wanting to know the size of the box and no one picked up both times. Ordered flower for my wife for Valentines day. Their website is pretty easy to use. They did deliver and my wife got the flowers and she was pretty happy. Although delivering to a corporate with tight security it pretty tough, they did manage to make sure she will them. My only complaint is they did not really provide an estimate of what time of the delivery, so I was waiting nervously and was worried by time they deliver she leaves. The flowers are prettier than their website picture, which is pretty rare and shows their dedication to deliver their promise. Overall, I will buy again without hesitation. read more

Follow up on my recent review for Paola's flower. There was an unfortunate mistake falling on Paola's Flowers. They neglected to put the senders names on a funeral arrangement that was delivered to the church service of our beloved family. They have apologized and refunded half of the cost of the arrangement. While a refund does not repair the hurt and disrespect it caused, we appreciate their apology and good will. This mistake should not happen. We want to extend our understanding and support of small businesses and its expenses, therefore, we did ask for a full refund. read more

Oscar and everyone there were the outmost professional and so helpful and sympathetic while we ordered our arrangements for the service. You can imagine that we had a lot of family members placing orders up to the last day possible. The arrangements were absolutely stunning and were crafted with such detail to our requests and were gorgeous. We even gave away a rose to each of our guests as an additional thank you favor because they were so perfectly pruned. Flower shop is situated Maude Ave at Sunnyvale. Found them thru yelp, had great reviews. Their online orders cut off time is at 2:00pm. Glad that I called the shop because it was past 2pm while I was placing same day order. Owner quickly informed be about the cut off time nicely and offered they can do it thru phone and its a pock-up at 4:45pm. Im so relieved they were able to accommodate me in short notice. Value is about $54.95 pretty decent if you want deluxe and more flowers it cost more but the standard size is pretty decent and beautiful. I've ordered from here once but became an instant repeat customer for any of my flower arrangement needs. I ordered a bouquet as a simple congratulations for a colleague receiving an honor. I looked at pictures online from the business and called one day to place an order. A sweet older lady with an accent answered and was very kind and patient as she asked me questions to determine what was best for my needs. I shared the name of one of the pictures shown on yelp as an example. With that simple and fast phone interaction, a price was agreed upon, the order was placed, and a rough estimate of a pick up time was scheduled. The bouquet was perfect and exactly what I had imagined, right down to the wrapping it was in. While others brought their bouquets as well, the one from Paola's stood out among them all with such bright and beautiful flowers chosen and we'll arranged. The bouquet received many compliments and even the person who received it couldn't stop admiring them when in her arms. She brought something to my attention that I hadn't even realized. She said you must have used a really good florist because they did a great job cleaning out the middle of this flower and most florists would have just left it. I'm not very good with names but it's a flower that has some kind of yellow in the middle that almost comes off as a dust or powder that can stain. She said it was surprising that they removed it and that they did such a good job that you would have never known it was there before. If I wasn't sure before, I knew right then that I had found my florist for life. I just hope whoever works there doesn't make any changes because we all know it's the people behind the scenes doing all the labor that makes business like this succeed. As an added note, considering what I've shared, I was expecting the price to be higher but it was very reasonable. That was another great surprise. I'm grateful to have found Paola's. Ordered flowers for my anniversary, first time using this floral shop. Arrived to pick up my arrangement after a long day at work, standard red roses and Lilies as list on their website. Upon arrival they had a completely different arrangement with white flowers of some sort and one blue rose, like for a graduation. Nope not mine. Lady argued with me about me getting a different bouquet and stating she would not give me the price of the bouquet I had ordered on another bouquet. You made the mistake not me. There was a small mixup and they were delivered early, but the flowers were absolutely gorgeous so she didn't mind. I called and asked if there was something that could be done on the day of her actual birthday. Just so she knows that I know her birthday day. Lol. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was so apologetic and asked how he could make it right. I asked if they could just send her a teddy bear or something of the sort on her birthday. I ordered one of those teddy bear flowers for Mother's Day. What I received looked more like it was leftover from Valentine's Day. It was a red bear in a black/red hearts box. Ok, not ideal for the occasion at hand, but I could have worked with it. What was unacceptable was the fact that the bear was missing a patch of flower and the styrofoam underneath was peeking through. I obviously can't gift this, so I have to toss it and eat the cost. The person working there was very helpful in answering my questions and showing me the bouquets. They have the cases roped off, so they will grab the flowers for you. I ordered 11 boutonnières here for my grandma's funeral, and the care and efficiency that they showed was spectacular. They worked with my pickup day and time so seamlessly. I ordered 6 orchid boutonnières for the pallbearers since those were her favorite flowers, and wow, they were touchingly incredible. The 5 children of my grandma wore a white rose boutonnière, and they were full and beautiful. Everyone loved how beautiful they looked. They contacted me through DoorDash to let me know they were out of the flowers they needed for the bouquet I ordered so I basically just told them to get creative with a tropical theme and a certain color and they did wonderfully! First order and same day delivery, so I'm trying to consider that maybe they were slammed or whatever. Also am considering that Mike had never delivered to this building before. When I asked Mike if he could deliver it directly to the department on the 4th floor (visitors and direct deliveries are now allowed in our building), he asked me if he could send the parking ticket to me. Honestly, I would've been more understanding if he had told me he had lots of other deliveries or didn't feel comfortable since he was in the drop off zone with his hazard lights on instead of being snarky about it. Docked one star for snark at 11am in the morning. Other than that, ordering online was easy, and Mike did call before delivering to try and understand where the location was.
