Stanford Bar on hotel property.

My brother and his wife were RVing in Salome AZ so we needed a place to stay while visiting them for a few days. First choice was booked for the whole month of December so we stayed at the Stanford Inn, right in town on the 60 and with a great bar and grill serving breakfast and bar menu. Rooms are old but clean, decor is very tired (we stayed in #2, a beachy theme) but bed was comfy , shower, toilet and sink worked, water hot. Definitely have breakfast at the cafe/bar! Big portions and good!

THIS CAFE! I stoped here to eat on my reluctant trip back to California! The food, the staff and atmosphere were perfect. The restaurant sits on a road in the middle of nowhere, on a road in the middle of the desert! I was concerned upon driving up, but as I entered it was just fabulous! Give the Cafe a chance!

Very clean rooms. Apparently each has its own theme, which is really cute. I got the Marilyn Monroe room! Staff was super accommodating and helpful. Loved my stay here!

We stayed just one night. It's an older property but it was clean and comfortable. It had a good refrigerator and microwave in the room.

It was clean and the perfect temperature at about 98 degrees. The woman that helped us was helpful and very informative. She also volunteers for time to keep the hot springs, nice and clean. The bathrooms are very clean and look newly remodeled with cute lights. I can't wait to go back and try out the other pools. I would say don't listen to people that haven't been there in a while because they've definitely done a lot to improve their facilities.

Starts at $40/person, which is HIGH. High for the tepid 98F water temp. High for the incessant flies. The communal hot tub area is clean, and we felt safe. There are showers, and their restrooms are good, too. But the water wasn't even hot tub warm. And the flies could drive you crazy. I'd like to rate it higher, it's a cool, calm, and happy place with various types of tubs in the communal area, which is nude only. But for $40, I could sit in a river without the flies, downstream from view, nude, and be happier. There's lots of parking, fuel nearby, something to eat, but despite its proximity to Phoenix, they could buy some fly strips and heat the water.

My room had a beautiful view of the Colorado River, complete with a full patio and seating--such a nice bonus. The room itself was big, spacious, and very comfortable. Coffee and tea were provided, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily, which was fantastic. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. A couple of things to note: there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms--only available in the lobby--and the pool was closed for remodeling during my stay. There is a small but cozy exercise room, and parking was plentiful. Dining options were great. BlueWater Grill is perfect for casual snacks and breakfast (opens at 7am), while River Willow has a more upscale feel and is excellent for dinner with friends or family. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, plenty of parking, and even free RV parking that can accommodate large rigs. Cheers!

The rooms a bit dated, but clean and well maintained. The TV's don't get many channels. The reason I have it 4 stars is the convenience to river areas and the fact this is the only place around, and it could be a whole lot worse, and still get patrons. We have no complaints overall that stand out. Look for my food review for their restaurant in another post.

Visited 7/17/2026…read moreThere is good and bad with this one. First this place has a nice western ambience and full service bar. The staff and locals we encountered were super friendly and pleasant to chat with. The Bartender was cool and helpful answering all our questions. Not a big selection of beers on tap but they are nice and cold. The decor is nice and fun to let your eyes keep scanning the room seeing something different everywhere you look. No for the food. First don't expect anything special. It's a diner menu and could use some help in the kitchen. We tried an appetizer The Cheese Curds. They were seasoned nicely and served piping hot but not creamy and smooth. Everything is served with packaged Sauces. Unfortunately most everything was very Greasy to the touch. I had the Fish & Chips. Smallest Serving I've ever been served for a dinner. Fish was far overcooked and dry inside. Loretta had the Fried Shrimp Basket and a Side Salad. she paid extra to have onion rings instead of fries. Rings were crispy and not bad. The Shrimp was the Best thing we ordered. Cooked perfectly tender and Not Greasy. Sadly The Fries were Super Dripping in Grease. Very Limp with no crunch. Terrible Fries. Prices were not bad at today's standards. Cooking needs improvement but we liked the place and may try it again sometime. Maybe Burgers next time.
