We hired Stanley in October of 2021 for a complete tear off of the house and Garage.. The issues started with the first snow fall. I walked into our garage which also doubles as a work shop to find the counter full of water and the roof leaking.. I promptly called Stanley and they came out to have a look.. The guy who showed up says there isn't much they can do because it's too cold out and it would have to wait till spring and they would come back out.. Well, ever time it snowed and it began to melt the roof would leak.. Fast forward to July, still no one came back to look at the garage but now another issue.. I start to notice a gap and a little insulation coming out from under one of the windows. I get the ladder out and get up to take a look and realize there is no wood under the window and rotted wood all around that area.. I call Stanley back and ask to speak to a manager and I get the run around. I finally get a text saying they are sending it to the production manager. I then get another text stating someone will be out by the end of the week.. Kirk comes out to take a look, as he's up on the ladder he asks if I put nails on the bottom of the shingles around that area, I tell him no and he procceds to investigate.. Kirk informs me he needs to run to Menards because the whole are is rotted wood underneath and needs to be replaced. I ask why it wasn't done in first place and he shrugged his shoulders and said well the guy who was running the crew is no longer here. I said so you asking about the nails on the bottom of the shingles tells me they knew it was rotted and shingled over it anyway. He said most likely. Now being concerned about the rest of the roof I tell him I want him to take a look at a few other area's as I know we had a few leaks prior to the new roof. I show him the area and we find more trim nails at the bottom of the shingles and when he steps in the area the roof area was soft and springy. Kirk tells me that the area probable was shingled over rotted wood. I tell him i want that fixed and he proceeds to tell me to call the office and tell them I had a independent contractor come out and they said it needs to be re-done so they can send him back out, I tell Kirk absolutely not and I paid 15K to have this roof done and it should of been done right the first time. He then gives me some sob story about just having a kid and that he will come back next week and fix the issues.. So 1 week goes by and nothing, 2nd week I text him and he says i'm coming this week and never shows 3rd week same thing 4th week same 5th week same 6th week same. Which now leads to this review. I would think long and hard before hiring Stanley Exteriors with their horrible customer service and not very honest work.. read more

Great company and great crew! We had a bit a problem ( well more then a bit) our garage was never used for a car we had other equipment stored in there from day one and the garage what was built in 1967 was really having some serious issues. The biggest issue was that the garage could only be re-happed instead of a new one put up. Main issue was the bottom plate on the rear was had completely rotted away to the point the studs were sitting on the slab. Other issues: Siding , facia, sofit, small door, 2 windows were all rotted and were at the end of code so to speak. After a lot of searching we came across Stanley Exteriors. Jeremy in the office sent TJ to take a look and give us a estimate. Estimate was more the fair, crew showed up when they were supposed to and the job was completed in 3 days with un not having to empty the garage out and look for outside storage somewhere. Work was great, materials were not from the local orange store if you get my drift. Garage looks great, wold use them again as well as recommend.. Stanley Exteriors, THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE. Alright, it's been over a month since Stanley Exteriors completed my home and garage roof replacement. I am a new homeowner, and this is one of the first big projects we had to do for the house. We knew the roof needed replacement, but though we had more time, until we located leaks. Luckily we accounted for the cost of replacement in our closing. We worked with Jeremy Robins to get a quote from Stanley that saved us from a contract with a very big regional company that was $10,000 greater, for the same materials, comparable warranty, etc. I was even drawn in by the marketing because I recognized the big name. Jeremy pointed out that I'd missed a crucial step in my search, since I was worried we were running out of time. The reviews for the big company were atrocious. So I went with Stanley. Jeremy was communicative, available almost all day via email and phone. Contracting was modern and simple via Docusign. Billing was equally simple and easy. When the installation team showed up and started their work, they worked from sun up till past sundown with the days shortening. It took 2.5 days to complete, even with concerns about supplies. More than that, the team was open to my questions and concerns throughout the project. I went up to take a look, found a nail below overlap. The team promptly reinspected the roof and replaced the shingles and nails. Very satisfied. read more

We had a a good experience with Stanley Exteriors when we needed help with our leaking roof after a hailstorm. Jeremy was very helpful with the insurance company and was pretty easy to work with. They destroyed our driveway, lost our existing electric line ... We had Stanley Exteriors perform a reinforced skim coating on our 1890's era two story Chicago Home. Initial contact with Bill Petermeyer was a form of 'Wheel of Fortune' asking multiple questions responded with relevant responses. We settled on skim coating on the majority of ground level brickwork with some necessary tuck-pointing Thrown for good measure... Peter, the team leader initiated the job as the weather forecasters predicted a relatively warm week. They finished in three days, with some higher up tuck-pointing proved as a courtesy. Disappointing experience to say the least. 1. Work done. The work performed had to be fixed, because they could not get it right the first time. New replaced gutters haven't been done accurately, which had caused massive ice buildups on the wall exterior. 2. Warranty. Refused to provide warranty for the work/labor. Only for the parts. 3. Communication. Jeremy, while very responsive to the questions, is very arrogant and pushy. Does not like to be questioned or second guessed. Overall, very stressful and lengthy experience. read more

We had our roof replaced by Stanley Exteriors. Summary: Great and quick work, fair prices and Jeremy was easy to work with! Pros: Jeremy was easy to work with and they provided an extremely fair estimate. Furthermore, we provided some additional requirements for this project and they bent over backwards to not only meet them but went above and beyond by adding extra things (upgraded vents). The work itself took one day and the materials used were of good quality. They were also able to clean around our home after the work was done. So someone hit my garage and i contacted Stanley to rebuild it. 1st they made it smaller. You can see from the pictures that i provided. The fence was close to the garage. 2nd they poured the concrete so high the fence won't close now. Before i could pull directly in or back in without a problem now i can't. 3rd the cracked my concrete in my backyard that i spent 8k to repair my whole area from the front to the back. I needed to replace my 60+ year old asphalt shingle siding with new vinyl siding and found Stanley Exteriors here on yelp. I worked directly with the owner Jerimiah (he also goes by Jeremy) and he made the process as seamless as possible for me. He was able to accommodate meeting me after work and took the time to walk my property and show me everything they would be addressing. He showed me various samples and color options and we executed a reasonable contract shortly after. He scheduled his team to come out the following week and they were all very polite and professional. The work was completed over a 3 day period and I feel they did an excellent job and left my property very clean. Four words best describe Stanley Exteriors: UNRESPONSIVE and MARGlNALLY ETHICAL. While Bill, the sales representative, was affable -- even likable -- his written quote was approximately 50% higher than the verbal quote he provided in person. Somewhat confused, I reached out to him three separate times over the span of five days, and asked him to help me understand the disparity. Unfortunately, he was either too disorganized or disinterested to return any of my emails. (It is also possible, of course, that he simply did not have the appetite to defend an indefensible disparity between his verbal and written quote.) This is to say nothing of the fact that all his line items -- in this case, seamless garage gutters, foundation skim-coating, and house gutter modification -- were two-to-three times more expensive than the quotes provided by three separate, well-regarded contractors, all of whom have exceedingly strong reputations for doing high quality work. Bottom line: If you are looking for a well-organized, highly ethical contractor to complete your project, save your time and money and LOOK ELSEWHERE. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I had a problem with poor work perform by one of their subs. When I spoke to the sales rep right after I noticed the issue he said he would take care of it. When it came time to "Take care of it" all he wanted to do was argue with me. I to speak to the owner of the company but they told me he doesn't speak much English ? Very honest service. Jeremy came out on August 2nd to give a free estimate on potential hail damage. Jeremy seemed very knowledgeable and honest. After thoroughly inspecting my roof for 25 minutes Jeremy revealed that I had no hail damage and that my roof was in very good shape. Jeremy's honesty goes a long way in a world that we live in today where not many businesses are honest about this kind of stuff. Kudos to the company for their integrity. I contacted Stanley Exteriors after I saw them recommended on Homeadvisor.com Jeremy came out the next day for a bid for a new garage. He was very thorough in explaining the process and timeline. This garage was for a summer home and it was important that the job could be done within a certain window for I would be returning to my permanent residence in CA. I got several bids from different companies and I was most impressed by Stanley Exteriors. Stanley Exteriors also assisted with getting financing that was very reasonable. All permits were pulled correctly and the garage was complete in less than a month from signing finance paperwork. The garage itself was built in a few days after concrete was poured. The workers were very good at cleaning the area when it was complete. I now have a great garage to keep my toys!
