The person that did the cleaning was very good, but the older man left a lower impression of his work. When he brought the water hose in he let water run out of the hose onto our wood laminate kitchen floor. I had to get a towel to dry it all up, this could have damaged the laminate wood floor. He didn't ask if he could help clean the mess up. The other person did a very good job in his cleaning the carpet in two rooms and hallway. read more

Was so glad that I could get service within 48 hours notice. Very light carpet in a high traffic area. Actually wanting to remove the carpet but hadn't had time to shop around for new carpet. Cleaning was quick and easy. In and out within 45 minutes. Service was prompt, polite, and cautious with the furniture. Would consider using them again and recommending their service. read more

Well, I needed to get someone out quick to clean our carpets. I was told it would be $99 for 3 rooms. Seemed reasonable. The two technicians showed up at my house to try and upsale just about everything. After my husband told them we weren't interested they then tried to upsale again after my husband left. Not cool. We said no. However, after the cleaning was done.....$153 dollars. I was so annoyed I didn't even want to argue. I just wanted them to leave. If you need a quick clean....I would recommend. But, I would not recommend for anything else. I'm going back to Langenwalter. read more

I was told the cleaners would be there between 1-5...I was called at 3pm and told the cleaners would be at my house in 20 minutes. The cleaners didn't show up until 10 til 5pm. I had called during the wait time asking if they were even coming at all and was told they couldn't get a hold of the crew. When they finally did show up, they spent just 30 minutes cleaning 3 rooms and a hallway. They did a great job...which I guess is all that matters but I may call a different company next time just because of the wait time and lack of communication. read more

We came back from our honeymoon to find one of our cats had pooped all over the house, so we immediately made an appointment with Stanley Steemer. (after cleaning most of it up ourselves). I wanted to use them because of their policy to move furniture, protect corners, etc. They had a 9-12 window and did not arrive on time. When I called to ask where they were I was informed it would be "any minute". They showed up and were friendly enough, but seemed to be rushing through the work. They did NOT put corner guards around our staircase and their hoses were scraping the corners. They did NOT put up the door sealer to keep the heat in the house. They parked and blocked our mailbox. I noticed when they had "finished" the downstairs room that they hadn't moved the furniture- not even an end table. When I asked on the technicians, they said "we only usually do that if people ask". They were starting in our front room, so I requested they move the furniture, and they did- move one of the couches. I moved the coffee table, end table, and loveseat by myself. I also replaced them back to their original position and REQUESTED the foam blocks so the varnish wouldn't transfer onto the carpet. When one technician pushed the loveseat back into place (before they were done), I asked if the carpet had been cleaned behind it yet, and he said "yes". I went over and checked, and the carpet was dry- so I asked the other man, who said he hadn't done it yet. So I pulled the loveseat BACK out for them to clean. One of them didn't wear booties, and it was WAY more than we were originally quoted for because "stairs are counted as a room". I called an spoke to Mike, the manager, and was offered $79 off. $79 off a $279 bill. That's still $200 for extremely poor work. He informed me that "moving furniture is 100% their policy and I shouldn't have had to ask, let alone move it myself". He also offered $75 for a future cleaning, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. This was such a shame that the technicians didn't do their job right. We had better experiences with family operated cleaning businesses that require you to move your own furniture, and we would have used them again had we known I'd have to do it all myself anyway. read more

I had Stanley Steamer out to clean my kids rooms and a couple of traffic areas today. When I called to schedule the cleaning I was told a little over $100 for 3 rooms and an entry cleaning and that they would show between the hours if 9:00am and 1:00pm. They arrived at exactly 12:30pm, which is in the time frame, but I was already upset for having to sit around and wait all morning. They did not cover their shoes with booties at any point during their time here. I had several stains in my children's rooms that did not all come out, but I know they state that its a possibility they won't. Then as they were doing the stairs they knocked down an expensive photo of me and my kids but did not tell me the frame was damaged, they just hung it back up like nothing happened! They did however work very quickly and was out in not time, but when I received the bill it was $213 and all I added to the previous total that I was told was $30 for the stairs...feel like it wasn't worth $200! read more

I found Stanley Steamer online and have seen their trucks in the area, so I thought I would give them a try. We needed our tile and wood floors cleaned. The appointment process on the phone was very efficient and left no room for misunderstandings. Pricing seemed fair. The technicians showed up on time and they were friendly. That's when the experience started to go down hill. One of the guys started to sell me on a carpet cleaning program that I had no interest in. After the third time I said no thanks he continued pressuring me to listen again to the deal. I finally was very firm and said its time to stop and walked away. The other guy then started up selling on higher priced services than I ordered. That really didn't set well, I felt like it was a bait and switch tactic that was planned. After several hours of work I wasn't happy with the results. One room had to be re-cleaned because they missed a lot and they got solvent in my carpeting. So, they needed to spot clean the carpet to remove dark spots. Long story short, the end results were good. The tile was cleaned and sealed and the wood floor now shines again. We had living room furniture and carpet cleaned and also group color sealant done in the kitchen area (something we hadn't thought about doing but are glad we did). I got 3 rooms cleaned and they were all poorly done. Not one stain, not even recent ones, came out at all or even look slightly better. Portions of the carpet in each room weren't even wet, so were not cleaned at all. My carpet looks absolutely no different than before they came. Super disappointed and will not use you again. read more

They cleaned my whole house. A little expensive, but almosts every stain came out. I can see some old coffee stains, still. Workers handled themselves pretty well. One was excellent. The other one tried to "upsell" me. Very annoying after I repeatedly said "no". Wish they could have gotten the fingernail polish out of my daughter's room. :( I would use them again. read more

Absolute worst service ever. They said between 11-3....I took the entire day off work to wait. They came at 3:30. I had written online and also called in the morning to tell them it was an apartment at a senior living facility and their hoses might not reach. They assured me they would send a portable unit. At 330 when they showed up they had no portable unit. Wanted to reschedule - I said no way, I took a day off work. So we had to wait for a portable unit to be delivered. Most stains were still present after. The carpet was SOPPING wet. Even today, almost 24 hours later, still extremely wet. A nice surprise was waiting for me in the shower - soaking wet bath mats and 3 large bath towels drenched. Not sure what happened there? My mom couldn't even stay at her apartment, I had to bring her to my house. A complete and terrible waste of money and time. With carpet still stained! HUGE BUMMER! I will tell everyone not to use Stanley Steemer!! read more
