Excellent Service! We had an issue to dry clothes for a while. I scheduled apt for mid August and I requested to be on waiting list if there is any cancelation. I got a txt msg in early morning at end of July. I called back and confirmed the apt for early afternoon. I got msg to inform me 20 minutes before apt time. Mike and his assistance arrived on time. We bought a Lennox furnace from Costco and there was an option for duct cleaning (with a discount if you purchased the cleaning at the time you purchased the furnace). As we had had some construction done recently, we opted for the duct cleaning. Tim arrived on time with a big truck and got everything done in our 2-story house in less than 4 hours. He told us that one of the returns was open to the attic (which we were unaware of) and showed us pictures of construction debris in the ducts (which we were pretty sure was there, but didn't have any way of seeing). We bought our house last winter, and the furnace had a sticker saying it was due to be cleaned in August. I called Mite-E-Ducts to set up an appointment, and they told me it had only been 2 years since the last cleaning (they typically recommend every 3-5 years). Since we're new to this house, we had them come out. The technician that arrived was great, and said he'd be happy to look at the vents and would only clean them if necessary. I don't know much about vent and duct cleaning, and I would have believed him if he'd said we needed to clean it. However, he was very honest and said they looked great. He took pics and even recommended a few changes we could make to the dryer vent. He only charged a service call fee instead of the $499 we had been quoted for the cleaning. Had Mite e ducts come out to clean heat ducts and check the dryer vent. Stuart, their tech, did a fantastic job. He made sure not to make a mess; explained what he was doing and took pictures of the duct work. While looking at dryer vent noticed duct tape that was connecting 2 pieces was letting lint in crawl space and repaired it with foil tape. He was at our house for over 4 hours and did a great job. Did not realize how dirty the heat runs were and got almost a laundry basket full of lint out dryer vent run. Got a discount on cleaning dryer vent--my bill was $499 and was well worth it. Mite-E-Ducts was contracted through our furnace people here in Terre Haute to clean our duct systems. It's hard to tell the last time the ducts were cleaned here. In addition, we had three floors refinished in this 1865 house. You can't imagine the build up. I wish I could remember the young man's name who came to do the cleaning. This house is 3600 square feet and it took him well over two hours to do the whole thing. He did one heck of a job. I don't work so I'm here in the house a lot. I could literally dust a surface and, after the furnace ran a couple of times, go back and get more sawdust off the area I had just cleaned. I got a pretty bad bronchial infection from inhaling all the junk. He did a fabulous job. I do no more than regular dusting now. Seriously, use these people. read more
