I arrived at 4:30pm & opened the garage door only to have water come rushing from under the door out into the driveway. Upon fast investigation, the water filter housing had cracked and water was spraying everywhere! There was a few inches of water in the garage and mud room. I called a family friend, who in turn sent over a plumber. The plumber suggested that we contact our insurance company and Bay Area Clean Clear. We did. Within an hour on a Sunday night, the Bay Area Clean Care van arrived. They got right to work and kept us informed each step of the way. As the sun went down, the temperatures started to drop. We had no water & no heat (because the boiler was right in the middle of the shower). In my sexiest outfit (2 sweatshirts & layered sweat pants..Keep in mind, I left temps in the 80's in Texas!) ...I asked if they might have a heater we could use in the living room to camp out & not freeze. The employee went back to his shop at 10:30pm at night to get us a commercial heater (which was not even included or needed for their clean up efforts.) They worked until well after midnight and returned at 9:00am to continue. They were extremely professional and simply good compassionate people. I would HIGHLY recommend this company! I was a repeat customer, requested quote for a small two-bedroom loft condo. Dan indicated he could…read moregive me "a good deal." I requested the same service as last time and was told, "I won't charge no more than $250, if we did the same thing. I explained to Dan that he did not have to move ANY furniture, no stains or difficult areas to clean, very easy job-only open areas need to be cleaned." He then quoted me $225. -Arrived 9:15am, departed 10:45am. Worked approximately one hour. -We did a complete walk through the condo to ensure Dan knew exactly what needed to be done. Dan asked me if I wanted the stairs cleaned. I replied, "Yes." Dan never mentioned he charges "extra" for stairs, not once during the walk through or by texting. He had every opportunity to do so and he chose not to. -Asked Dan if he could lightly run over the two small foyer rugs with the cleaner. He replied, "Yes." Never mentioned additional charge for rugs. -Never asked him to clean carpet tiles. He cleaned them anyway. -Upon check-out, Dan told me I owed him $300! He tried to shame me into believing he did me a favor in cleaning the carpet tiles and that he charges $75 for each flight of stairs. Dan tried to convince me that I got a "deal," because he was only charging me for one flight of stairs, not two. -I expressed my dismay and decided to pay Dan his requested $300, because I wanted to write this honest review. I didn't want the review to be about Dan arguing about price. -Dan did a sufficient job in cleaning my carpet, hence the two star review. -Use Dan if you would like your carpets cleaned. -LESSON LEARNED: Get everything in writing. Make Dan sign a contract on agreed price and work to be completed. He doesn't use contracts, but I would ask him for one.

Fred uses a portable machine, which I see works better than a machine in a van. He had me temporarily jack up the heat in my water heater to make the cleaning agents work better on the stains. He was also more reasonably priced than Stanley Steamer in Gaylord.
