I had an appointment time today from 11:00-1:00. When no one showed up at 1:30 I called up the Grand Traverse Carpet Cleaners. The receptionist couldn't find my name on today's schedule. She said that it looked like the appointment was canceled. I said that I canceled an appointment in August and rescheduled for today. She said she would get back with me in a few minutes. Once she called the crew, she called me back and said they would be there by 2.30. I called her back at 3:00 because no one had shown up and asked what the status of my cleaning time was. She checked with her crew again and said they would be there at 4:00. I canceled the cleaning. My time is valuable. This is a poor way to do business. I will not be contacting Grand Traverse Carpet Cleaners again. read more

I'm leaving this review after reaching out twice in the last month to no reply from GT Carpet cleaners. I will not use them again. It appears they have horrible customer service and they simply could care less. I've used them a handful of times in the past without issue. This was the first time I was shocked how poor the service was. They were here and gone in 45 minutes (fastest time I think I have ever had anyone here/gone). My home is 2,300sq ft it SHOULD take awhile. I discovered they moved NO furniture at all (coffee table, end table, rocking horse, etc), shoes remained on with no coverings (which I don't really care if their shoes are covered or not) and they put furniture protection on legs of just one chair (which again isn't that big a deal to me - but has always been done before). My largest complaint, we have a large rug in our living room that covers 1/2 of the floor covering as well as one under our bed in master BR (rug sits on top of carpet). They have always been cleaned as if it was the carpet, and they didn't even clean it!!! This is most of the room and where my child plays daily!! I got charged for two rooms on my living room because it is so large and they didn't even clean this area and it makes most of the room. It is still covered in dog hair. Carpets were not even cleaned under the ends tabled either and they were reachable without even moving (it was completely dry and you could tell it wasn't touched). I did vacuum and pick up the whole house in preparation of their arrival and I have to make arrangements for this for child care as I have young children who crawl around the floor. Plus you have to consider drying time. What a waste of a day!   I didn't realize how bad it was until they left and I walked around and inspected the floor. Last time I could hardly even see a dog hair leftover, today it just looks like I did the job myself with my $150 10year old home carpet cleaner. ***I'm not sure if this is because a truck was not used for suction and instead they just brought in a large machine which I am sure does NOT have the same effect. Or because of carelessness. I think they should have shared with me at booking that they would not be using their truck to clean. I honestly feel like I could have used my personal carpet cleaner or rented a rug doctor and got a better outcome. A month later, no response from my reach outs to them on this issue. I did tell them twice if he leaving a poor review. Don't waste your time. read more

Nate and Anthony did a great job cleaning the ducts in our house. The home is only 2 years old but we moved in before it was quite done so they weren't really fully cleaned after construction. The lower level didn't look too bad when Nate inspected so he offered us the option to forego that part and save some money. We declined because I just wanted to get the whole house on the same schedule, but we much appreciate their honest consideration. They were efficient, clean, left things in as good or better shape than when they arrived. We've now just requested GTCC to come do some carpets and tile for us as well. UPDATE: Nate and Andrew cleaned our carpets and our tile and did a terrific job. The shower had hard water stains that I tried to clean to no avail. Looks like new now! They are professional and courteous, and thoughtful about how their work may impact the home or your comfort. And they remembered my cat's name (he's the family greeter)! Again, we'll call them next time we need these services. read more

Had my carpets cleaned this morning, 5 rooms in total with 2 stairways. They look and smell great. They were easy to get a hold of and communicate with. Price point was perfect. I will definitely use them again and recommend them. read more

I recently hired Grand Traverse Carpet Cleaners to help me remove the stains from our new Basset Hound. John and Scott arrived within the scheduled time and were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. John seemed unsure on whether or not the stains would be removed, which had me a little worried (considering my carpet is only two years old, and very expensive). John and Scott were able to remove all the stains, moved all my furniture for me, and even placed Styrofoam under the furniture when they were done. Everything from start to finish was was better than I have experienced from a carpet cleaner. I have a new carpet cleaner for life! With a two young children Lord knows i'm gonna need one. read more

We've been using this company since we moved here and they are terrific! Today I had Anthony and Brady here. They were very professional, polite and friendly. I asked Anthony for his card so I can ask for him next time. We have a cat, who we actually get shaved twice a year, but nonetheless they found areas of cat hair I didn't know existed. They raked those areas and no more cat hair! We will continue to use them and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a top rate carpet cleaning company. I recently needed my carpets cleaned because I was moving out of a rental and was on the hunt for the best deal. I called to schedule an estimate with Grand Traverse Carpet Cleaners to see what the cost would be. I also had obtained a coupon on line to get three rooms for 99$, GREAT! So two men came to the house Sean and Mark, that were very professional and friendly. They measured the rooms and gave me an estimate. Three days later I called to schedule an appointment and talked with a women named Shelly. Shelly gave me the rudest customer service that I had ever had! From the start she was VERY argumentative, about the amount of my estimate and scheduling a time, to giving a conformation number because I didn't feel comfortable with the service she had given so far. I thought, well Shelly is obviously having a bad day ( we all have them) until she refused to have my carpets cleaned and she hung up on me. There was absolutely no need for that action. Thankfully I am a God fearing woman who won't take further action other then this review and will pray for Shelly. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend this company. We had our carpets cleaned, and we asked if they could come back out from the same job to remove the stains better. About a year later, I called again to schedule a separate appointment, and they accused me of providing a hostile environment and swearing at the service guys, which is absolutely and insanely absurd. The manager was completely accusatory over the phone and rude. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. Terrible customer service. There are many other carpet cleaners in Traverse City that do a much better job. I will not give my business to a company that tries to create problems with their paying customers. read more
