ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. We came home with our newborn child, and noticed our a/c went out. We…read morecontacted our home warranty and they send out someone from Dark Horse A/C. When they arrived from the start they were rude, and disrespectfu. After 45 minutes of them "diagnosing" the unit, they went to turn it on to try it, and next thing I know is smoke started rolling through the vents. I quickly shut off the a/c and grabbed my newborn child and ran outside. Shortly after, the tech blamed the smoke on ME, that I "shut it off as soon as he went outside because I knew it wouldn't work", yet there was clearly a house filled with smoke. After another 45 minutes, the tech said "someone has been out here working on it" and continued to accuse me of ripping off the home warranty company. I asked him what he did to make it smoke and he replied "YOU didn't tell ME that there was work done to this, and your compressor went out, that's what must have caused the smoke". I continued to ask more questions, due to not being satisfied with the tone and hatefulness and he responded "your home warranty will contact you soon, good luck getting any work done to it, after I talk to them They shouldn't approve any work being done" and proceeded to get in his car and leave before I could get anymore words out. Not only do I have a bad review, but I will NEVER use this company again. I might not be hvac certified, but I do have a college education in industrial controls, and automation technology and I know when someone is telling me lies about my a/c unit to either be "lazy" or do work that doesn't need to be done.

Dark Horse demanded $150 before they would even think about coming out to look at the duct work. Conveniently, the service warranty "just ran out". Now, I am not only dealing with death of my father, but I've had to get window units to help cool the house off. HORRIBLE customer service! They used a dehumidifier first to see if it would get all the moisture out. It worked. But if it didn't, they would have to of done a more expensive treatment.
